01:26So we're going to use the unique ability of the Frost Queen
01:29Which is the tier 3 Frostling unit

01:34What this means is, next turn
01:37This sphere will explode
01:40And everywhere nearby will be coated in ice
01:42And will become arctic terrain
01:43Which gives an advantage to us
01:47But before we do that

03:35This guy is the frostlings pikeman
03:38And he has a special ability pledge of protection
03:41This is similar to the theocrat ability absorb pain
03:43So if I use it on Arvik
03:47Any damage that Arvik takes
03:48This guy will take instead
03:50He also gets a plus two defence bonus
03:52Which is nice
03:53Also have here the frostling white witch
03:56She is the support unit for the frostlings
03:59And she has to have some fire abilities
04:00Grant flows and flames here
04:02Will give 80% fire protection to Arvik
04:05Definitely very handy
04:06Since we're very able to fight here
04:07Will also give him the ability to inflict chilling
04:10Which is a new stacking debuff
04:12If we go over here
04:13You can see we have a 36% chance of him

04:45The ice scaper
04:46This is the irregular for the frostlings
04:47Now his attack here is actually very low damage
04:50Most irregulars do 12, 13, 14 damage
04:52With their ranged attacks
04:54However this one has the added bonus
04:56That it can freeze the target in place
04:58And since this guy has a 40% ice weakness
05:03Might be a good idea to try and freeze him
05:0842% chance of freezing

05:12I think this guy has a much lower resistance
05:14This is a tier 3 unit
05:15It's only tier 1
05:16So I'll freeze this guy

05:26A very powerful support unit
05:28It's got a little bear pulled chariot
05:32And as well as the last white winter
05:33Which you've already seen
05:34She's got ice gnome
05:35This is a massive area of effect
05:37And it will knock enemies out of guard
05:38But most enemies are guarding
05:40So we won't bother with that
05:41And it doesn't look like we can get into melee range
05:43So we'll just sort of move into battle

05:48And that's the end of our turn

06:03The reason you didn't see any damage numbers coming off me
06:05Was because all the damage was being done to this guy
06:07Our poor royal guard is in a bit of a state
06:10I have a feeling that although Arvik is protected against fire
06:14Poor old frosty over here is not
06:17In fact he has 60% fire weakness
06:19And hence him losing an obscene amount of health from those attacks
06:24But no matter
06:25I'm sure these guys won't be with us for much longer
06:27So first things first
06:28Drive up here with our ice queen
06:30Now see this?

06:32Anyone stood next to an ice queen
06:34Suffers an extra 40% fire weakness
06:38Frost weakness even
06:40And minus one resistance
06:41So that means
06:43It's actually quite a good plan with the frost queen
06:45Simply to park next to people and do nothing
06:47However in this case
06:49I know you all want to see ice nova
06:51So let's set that off
06:53Only does damage to the people right next to her
06:55But yeah
06:56Quite a lot of damage
06:57And that's the end of them
06:59The ice scapers have these ice picks
07:02And that gives them this ability Shatter Strike
07:04Which means they do extra damage against stone and frozen units
07:07So hopefully we should be able to beat these guys up quite fast

08:16To represent that they actually

08:23Which is a farm which has been affected by magic
08:24Gives a hundred dead population
08:26Instead of a hundred living population
08:28Over here
08:29We have
08:30A spring of life
08:32The population we get from this is worthless
08:34If we were to cast
08:36Where was it?
08:38Corrupt a source on it however
08:41Then it would become a corrupted spring
08:43And it would give our city
08:45Lots more lovely dead population
08:47The final thing we probably want to do

08:51It's a very cheap building
08:52But it's vital
08:53For necromancer cities
08:55It gives them the 200 population growth
08:57That they need
08:58To grow at all
08:59Otherwise the city probably isn't going to get anywhere

09:55That comes out of the dwelling
09:57Which is short of the north
09:58And it has a very powerful unique ability

10:01Which if I know the Lord of the Deep
10:03Is going to use as the very first thing that he does

10:09It looks like the AI has decided to use
10:10The new AI trick that it's been taught
10:12Where it will wait for us to come to him
10:14So we actually have a bit of a reprieve
10:18Previously
10:18In our previous versions of the game
10:20The AI would always charge forwards
10:21Now sometimes the AI will actually stand back
10:24And wait for you to approach
10:25So to make it a bit more challenging
10:27So you can't just sort of
10:28Stand there and form a wall
10:30Now
10:31We'll send forwards first the Bone Collector
10:34He's our main tank tier 3 unit
10:36His stats aren't actually that great
10:38But he has an amazing ability
10:40Collect Bones
10:41He can eat corpses from the battlefields
10:43To get more health
10:44More damage
10:46And to heal himself at the same time
10:48So he's going to run forwards and guard
10:50Hopefully survive the initial encounter
10:52We also have these guys
10:54Deathbringers
10:55Frostling Deathbringers
10:56No doubt
10:57These sort of Hellraiser-esque
11:00Undead minions
11:01Are very powerful
11:03The main ability is
11:04Inflict Ghoul Curse
11:06This means any unit they strike
11:08Has a chance to be inflicted
11:09With the Ghoulish disease
11:10So if we can kill a Ghoul cursed unit
11:12It will come back under our control
11:14As an undead unit
11:15So they're very handy to have around
11:17Shall we move forwards as well
11:18Or float forwards as they do
11:22What else have we got?
11:24The Lost Soul
11:25This is the Necromancer's Scout unit
11:28It's incorporeal
11:29Low damage
11:30Floating
11:31But it's main abilities are
11:33Exploit Despair
11:34And Undying
11:36Exploit Despair simply means
11:38It does more damage to people with low morale
11:39Undying is much more interesting
11:41After two turns
11:42It will come back from the dead
11:44Once for battle
11:45So it's very good
11:46As a sort of a throw away unit
11:48To chuck at the enemy
11:49To distract him
11:50Whilst you're more fragile
11:52And well
11:52With plate more irreplaceable units
11:55Are kind of hiding behind it
11:56Okay
11:57Send forward our Reanimator
11:58The Frostling Reanimator
12:00Is
12:01A
12:02Baby Necromancer
12:03Basically
12:04He's our little sort of apprentice
12:05He's got a little shovel
12:06For digging up dead people
12:08He's going to throw bolts to people
12:10Raise Corpse
12:11This lets us
12:12Create little sort of skeleton
12:14Crawling around guys
12:15Called cadavers
12:15Out of dead bodies
12:17He's also vital
12:18Because he's one of the only units
12:19We have that can heal undead
12:21Undead units do not heal naturally
12:23So it's vitally important
12:24That we have units
12:25Like the Reanimator
12:26And like Necromancer Heroes around
12:28Who can keep our guys healthy
12:30As they fight
12:31Finally
12:32My favourite unit
12:33In the Necromancer line-up
12:35The Banshee
12:36The Banshee is a debuffing machine
12:38This ability
12:40Whale of Despair
12:41Is a massive area of effect
12:43That applies the Despair debuff
12:45To everyone it hits
12:47Assuming that they don't pass a save
12:49Despair is minus 300 morale
12:51And 20% spirit weakness
12:53So definitely want to hit them
12:54With that first
12:56Okay
12:57Let's see what they do
12:58I wake up
12:59I think I'm close enough

13:36But the frost weakness
13:37We don't really care about
13:38They don't use frost damage
13:39Lightning could be a problem
13:40But I'm sure we can

16:29We can't really do anything with him right now
16:31But these guys are very useful for distracting enemies
16:33He also has this amazing ability
16:36Offering of bone
16:37If he was able to get over to our bone collector
16:40He could feed himself to the bone collector
16:42To heal him up
16:43But that's not possible
16:45So bone collector can come over here
16:46And he can eat the human scoundrel
16:50So we heal
16:51We now have 20 more hit points than we had before
16:53And our melee strike has gone up to 16
16:55I believe before
16:57It was 14
16:58So plus 1 resistance
17:00Plus 2 attack
17:00And plus 20 hit points
17:03So
17:04We beat up the lord of the deep
17:10Ok now hopefully

17:12The ghoul curse will work on this guy

18:23Undead means he can't regenerate
18:24But he is immune to blight damage
18:26And gets a bit of frost protection
18:28Unfortunately also means
18:30His fire protection has been reduced
18:32And he has a big whopping 60% spirit weakness
18:3540% of that comes from undead
18:37But an extra 20% from being a ghoul
18:40Now a ghoul is a sort of undeadified version
18:43Of a living unit
18:45To begin with they're quite fragile
18:47But there's a number of spells and buffs you can get
18:50Which makes them more powerful
18:51The most easy to get is this
18:53The Embalmers Guild
18:54The Embalmers Guild
18:56Gives all of our ghoul units
18:58The Embalmed ability
18:59More hit points
19:00And a big pile of fire protection
19:02Which is nice
