00:07So why are we cutting up cardboard?
00:10We're making a video booth.
00:12What's a video booth?
00:13We've got a big picture in.
00:17I want you all to record a video for Mum about what you want to be when you grow up.
00:22Good morning!
00:24Hello, sisters!
00:27I want to be a...
00:28I want to be a...
00:29I want to be a...
00:32Finish!
00:33I want to be a firefighter.
00:36I want to be a gymnast.
00:38Watching 22 kids grow up, despite how different they are,
00:43there's one thing they all have in common.
00:45I want to be a teacher.
00:47Be a hairdresser.
00:49They all have a dream.
00:50I'd like to be a showroom for when I'm older.
00:53A dancer, a singer.
00:55I want to be a footballer so I can really get Man United.
00:58But kids don't dream about being accountants or shop assistants.
01:02They dream big.
01:05My dream is to build huge pieces of engineering,
01:08like jets, tanks and nuclear submarines.
01:11If he doesn't get this exam result that he needs for English,
01:14it's game over before he's even started.
01:17I just can't read the text and extract information.
01:20It just doesn't happen.
01:21I find it really difficult to put it onto paper.
01:25I can't do this.
01:26It's not making any sense.
01:28That's the point of going to see this English tutor.
01:30I quite understand it.
01:31Anticocontist, I can't believe in understanding it.
01:33So I'm going to go back upstairs.
01:35Goodbye.
01:36If I fail, my dream of designing the next Concorde is over.
01:40Just Like a noted.
01:40Maybe something to me.
01:42Maybe something to me.
01:57Maybe – come to me.
02:00Maybe something to me.
02:00I can't do this before.
02:04Maybe there is…
02:04Maybe something to me.ители
02:07you should remember. Maybe
02:08you should remember.
02:09max radford has a scientific mind and ambitions to match is that an engine at
02:15the back then poking out the tail end or not well that's not a jet engine isn't
02:20get engines intake for combustion it takes it in blows up effectively and then it's and then
02:26takes that his dream is to work on large-scale engineering projects i just like building stuff
02:33to be quite honest whether it's jets tanks nuclear submarines or power station like massive things
02:39huge pieces of engineering just because they're just so cool navy ships that are like larger than
02:46some continents there's planes that can have planes on them these are all basic lines i'm
02:51the fan like the absolute extreme of planes the end goal is for me to get a degree apprenticeship
02:57at the aa i would quite like to go into like a field of chemistry like rocket fuels and stuff
03:03like
03:03that the thing is though max i can't understand how something that weighs and they must have hundreds
03:10of tons can fly uh it's just that they produce more updraft than like down well they count like gravity
03:17with it it's bad isn't it max he's definitely got an engineering brain he's almost like your x-ray
03:23vision looking inside how it's been put together to set max's engineering cogs whirring noel has a
03:31surprise for him a treat he wants to show max one of the greatest engineering achievements of the 20th
03:37century concord look at it it's a thing of beauty that isn't it geez fast play going on board yes
03:49please
03:52dreaming big is risky that's why i wanted to show max concord it's such a feat of engineering
03:59somebody dreamt that and it paid off do you want to have a quick look in the flight deck guys
04:04love to
04:04yeah what do you think of this then max so many words where do you even start concord is quite
04:10mind-blowing for just what it is a commercial aircraft that can move at the speed of sound
04:15it was because shocked to see all the buttons and different like levers and the like it was very
04:19cool the center section is all about fuel management concord's use fuel balance the airplane
04:26it's 13 fuel tanks it can move the fuel around it just pumps it from one to another time i
04:30think
04:30that's cool with the fuel management now would that be done by a computer yes it's all very very cool
04:36it's quite a privilege to be honest because this is like a part of history
04:40oh to see max's face light up when he was surrounded by all that technology he could just
04:45see it it was all being absorbed what's this what does that do i really hope it has inspired max
04:51and
04:51you know who knows he could be involved in the next engineering revolution whereas kids the younger they
04:57dream these things and they forget about it and move on that's not max i can just see him going
05:02on in
05:02his life living his childhood dream if i could be alive while this was being built that would have
05:09been great i would have loved to build one of these before max can realize his ambition his first
05:18challenge to overcome his exams just fun just to make like little models of stuff i've just got to do
05:25my gtse's which is very stressful to get where he wants to be in life he's got to get score
05:31of seven in
05:32maths physics and chemistry and fives in other subjects physics and chemistry are just fun um maths
05:45i like it more than the other subjects totally right up max's street like he he loves anything
05:51like that doesn't he yeah he's always excelled in doing stuff like it's not the sevens he's worried
05:56about it's getting fives in the other subjects that he's worried about i'm very bad at a lot of the
06:01other subjects like english i'm horrible at that english gcse can be a stumbling block for many
06:09students particularly those with autism i think around year six is when i realized that my mind
06:15worked differently than others with my autism i see the world like differently to everybody else
06:23many autistic people can interpret written words very literally which can make it difficult to read
06:30between the lines and understand hidden meanings what do you think of that
06:41my weakest subject is english just because there's no way to really revise it it's not like a set
06:47material that you have to learn maths is a lot better than english because of the definitive right
06:53answer and a definitive wrong one math science math has always been absolutely brilliant two plus two
07:01is always going to be four but english describing a summer scene you can describe it one way and i
07:06can
07:06describe it another it's never going to be the same because he finds it really difficult to put it
07:13from here onto paper because there's not a direct answer there's not a formula to it i really need to
07:20get the right grades otherwise i can't attend the college everything's stacked against match you know
07:25and if he doesn't conquer his english his dreams will be crushed before he's even started
07:38in life most of us dream about finding the perfect partner
07:42it's something that ellie radford and boyfriend stephen hope they have found at the first time of asking
07:48we met from my sister sophie sophie works in the same place that i work sophie posted a picture of
07:55me on her instagram yeah and then i told sophie to put in a good word for me and then
08:00a few weeks later
08:01on it and i went on a dog walk it was like we had known each other for quite a
08:05while wasn't it
08:07i'd say sparks flew quite quickly yeah so quickly in fact that they moved in together after just a few
08:14months you was lovely when i first met you i still am now we don't have many disagreements though do
08:20we
08:20no maybe that's why we worked so well then ellie and stephen are living the dream where everything
08:29feels exciting finish each other's sentences it's almost perfect i mean i remember when we first started
08:36going out everything feels really special new and the other person can never do any wrong can they no
08:42exactly that so and you think the other person always wants to do the same things as what you
08:47want to do we used to write little letters to each other they might used to write them to me
08:52so i felt obliged i had to write one back oh it's all coming out now isn't it when you're
08:58in love you
08:59do crazy things like heading off on a mountain hike at least that's what ellie's told stephen
09:05i quite like hiking and going up mountains and stuff so what stuff have you got planned ellie
09:11so today we're doing an adrenaline activity where we are walking along a rope between two mountains
09:21that's gone down well yeah when i heard about it why i panicked a little bit
09:29be interesting to see how i cope because i'm not big on that sort of stuff
09:36unfortunately stephen ellie is when it comes to being a daredevil she's got a history
09:44i did a skydive once loved it i really enjoy adrenaline activities and that's one thing
09:52that i was attracted to stephen with i thought he liked doing the same things as me but by the
09:58look on
09:58his face i've definitely got that wrong yeah i'm really looking forward to it who are you trying
10:05to kid stephen you better close your eyes the mountains in honister reach more than two thousand
10:11feet high i think i'm just gonna go for it i'm not even gonna think about it best way honestly
10:16yeah
10:16are you scared ellie no how does my bum look in this harness
10:23i love this type of thing this is up my street i'm quite excited actually more than can be said
10:29for
10:29stephen it's very windy oh wow we are high whoa you all right steve yes are you sure don't look
10:44down
10:46how strong is the wire if you're a bit worried today don't start shuffling sideways that would
10:54just keep you worried for longer so just one foot in front of the other and when you're ready
10:59off you go oh what the hell he's nice it just doesn't fit very safe ellie i know i'm enjoying
11:11myself
11:11well i really started to panic i think i looked down too long
11:20should be at home with a cup of tea i was enjoying myself until i was i was on that
11:25bridge
11:28i was trying to whack brave it's not my ideal sunday to be honest would it help we don't have
11:35to go
11:35back down that to get back do it no no no no no no stephen there's a quicker way off
11:40the mountain
11:41ellie has another surprise in store for you we're gonna do a bungee jump you what the bungee
11:48was definitely another level i think i just about managed the bridge i didn't really think it could
11:54get much worse than that you don't like bungees then no absolutely not oh god it's high that i'll do
12:01it
12:01if you do it first i'll do it i'll do it straight after you i think stephen ever the gentleman
12:07ladies
12:08first
12:11i'm usually quite the daredevil with stuff like that but stood on the edge even my knees were wobbling
12:17a little bit because it was quite high hang on where's my strap oh this is high
12:23when he started counting down from three i could feel the adrenaline running through my body
12:30we're counting through you're not going to think about it just going to go for it
12:35three two one
12:44just think you live once if i got to like 80 and i hadn't done this would i regret it
12:50probably
12:52her jumping made it even worse that she actually did it ellie did it i've got to do it
12:58walking out it's like walking to death that's what it felt like i was terrified explain to me how
13:04safe this is never had anything going wrong before but i wasn't having that i didn't want to listen to
13:10the word he had to say you ready no i'm not this is horrible like i think i'm going to
13:15be sick i hope no
13:16one's down there looking up i don't want to do it mate i don't want to do it
13:23steven you can do it how did you find it close your eyes was it all right yeah it's fine
13:29i promise
13:29right i'll do it i'm doing it ready three two oh no no this is horrible the worst thing ever
13:36do you know when you get that feeling you can't say i do steven go on you can do it
13:42i know ellie
13:43was trying to help me but honestly it was just making it worse i don't want to do it i
13:48don't want
13:48to do it this is horrible it's fun i promise stop smiling at me i'm not i just know you
13:55can do it
13:55come on you'll be proud when you've done it i promise you you'll do anything for your dream partner
14:03won't you three two one do it oh you no i'm bailing i'm bailing i'm not doing it i wish
14:15she'd have
14:15told me before because i've probably said no so i'm not particularly happy about that good for any
14:21i'm not doing it for anyone like they say about finding the perfect relationship look before you
14:27leap maybe this isn't a match made in heaven after all get me off get me off get me off
14:34i think
14:35maybe he was just a bit annoyed that his body wouldn't let him jump off it i'm not happy that's
14:40that's really i hope i did feel kind of bad for arranging to do something that i thought i'd like
14:46for him to not end up actually enjoying back at radford towers it's business as usual with 15
15:00kids at home today and one of them is trying to revise good luck max
15:09it's very hard to get peace and quiet in the house they can't go in a single room
15:13and it'd be quiet it's always loud it's impossible to concentrate in this house
15:39i'm trying to advise please
15:50with max struggling to focus in the madhouse noel has packed him off to chloe's not just for some
15:56peace but also extra english tuition well we asked chloe to get involved because she's been to unit and
16:03she did really well in english at school you know with it being his sister it might be a bit
16:08easier
16:08for him to just sit down have a chat with her take it in a bit better i'm happy to
16:13be getting some
16:14tutoring from my big sister she's quite smart i hope that she can help do you want a drink no
16:20i'm
16:21all right no okay how are you feeling about your english exam coming up then it really doesn't feel
16:26like it's going to go well i struggle with primarily the reading what i've read and like information about
16:32what i've read so you just kind of read it as like one tone you don't yeah you can't read
16:36like what how
16:38someone might be feeling and what they're saying yeah i don't understand tones i like can't read the text
16:43and extract information it just doesn't happen okay so with max's autism over the years i have more
16:49experienced it when he was younger and we'd go out shopping and he would get really overwhelmed and
16:55he would hide in like the clothing rails and things right i've got an idea max let's compare these two
17:01poems and you can write the similarities and the differences that the two poems describe feelings
17:09of watching someone they love grow up yeah yeah yeah also still playing hopscotch admire the meat
17:16hop hop hop and skips of her not overstepping the line
17:22i don't know what's going on i taught you at eight to ride a bicycle loping along beside you as
17:30you wobbled
17:30away and two round wheel chloe's doing her best but it's not sinking in the head down the curve path
17:36of the park and some people with autism have difficulties with dealing with long or complicated
17:41stories because it can feel overwhelming it's just too much information to process
17:47i don't see where it shows her growing up i'm not good at these
17:53it's not actually the reading that he struggles with it's kind of trying to get
17:57the context of it and like how it might be said and coming across it's quite difficult to
18:05make yourself understand that isn't it i suppose if you can't process that i've read it about three
18:11times now i still don't know what the tone is i know everybody knows the skill but i don't know
18:16how
18:16they know the skill i genuinely have no clue what i'm doing so when i have to do this in
18:21the actual
18:21exam i can't do this it's not making any sense this has been quite difficult to be honest because
18:31i'm not a teacher either this is definitely above my pay grade i have no clue what's going on i
18:37only
18:37started deteriorating max's attention to the task in hand is wavering he's lost focus
18:46on that depends having an aneurysm it's annoying max can you stop doing that please
18:52work i don't know why i'm doing this i can't be bothered it's just not making
18:55any sense whatsoever i'm going lesson over
19:05hi hello hi um it's not gone very well he has stormed off oh you're joking i mean personally i
19:13think
19:14that you need to be probably getting a professional in someone that has experience with neurodiverse
19:20students i think oh well thanks for trying anyway love no bye so minus b plus or minus
19:32at his wits end a frustrated max can't find the key to unlock gcse english and he can see his
19:39dream job
19:39as an engineer fading fast yep spanning brackets so negative b plus or minus the square root of b
19:49squared take 4ac uh all over 2a maths i love maths it's all it's all numbers they all have definite
19:56answers you can prove everything this is the quadratic formula this is great this will work okay in the
20:02real world i can use this i am never going to use macbeth if english was like this i could
20:09get a nine
20:10english isn't like this you don't prove anything you interpret and you try find proof for what you've
20:15interpreted what i want to do is a big dream and i know the competition is vast and tough and
20:21i know
20:21good maths is only going to get me so far if i can't understand my reading and don't know what
20:25to write
20:26then i'm done if i fail my dream of designing the next concord is over i have completely given up
20:34on english there's i've got no hope for it ellie and stephen have been together now for 11 months
20:51but they are only just discovering the realities of what makes each other tick can you tell steven
20:58done the last wash and now my wash bottle looks like that that's men every relationship doesn't
21:04it when they've gone through the honeymoon period it's the buffers doesn't yeah testing tea how far
21:09they can go it's been doing a lot of hours at work like more than i usually would so i'm
21:18by myself more
21:19than i usually would be as well when he's not at work he's down at the gym well at least
21:24that's what
21:24he says he's doing being in the flat on my own is very boring i thought steven would be home
21:31a lot more
21:31but he's out so it gets very lonely i thought moving out into a flat would be a bit more
21:38exciting
21:39and be with each other all the time but it's not like that it feels like i've not spoke to
21:45anyone for
21:48like hours first romances can be difficult when you're young you're growing up like quite quickly
21:56aren't you really so what you might have wanted a year into your relationship as opposed to like
22:03two three years it could be like really different in that aspect that can be quite difficult when
22:09you're trying to grow with somebody but you may be growing in different directions
22:12no i wouldn't say it's common to meet someone young and then stay together forever
22:19busy lives and differences of opinion have started to have an effect and one thing has brought things
22:26to a head i want to get some more tattoos but ellie's not a fan she says uh enough's enough
22:34i wanted to get
22:36the side of my neck done so then it connects my chest and my shoulder there it is something like
22:42that it's not necessarily subtle but it's not like it's covering my entire neck steven is learning that
22:50being in a couple means that you are no longer piloting the plane alone she said if you get it
22:55done
22:56don't expect me to like it that was her last words to me i just think they look cool i'd
23:03rather he
23:03didn't get a neck tattoo sometimes they can look a little bit tacky neck tattoos are just not for me
23:10it's not so much as having to ask it's having to suggest the idea well she did actually say
23:17no you're not getting that because i got all my toes before i met ellie obviously i don't want any
23:22conflicts in my relationship but i don't really like people telling me what i can or can't do
23:26it sounds like the battle for who wears the trousers in the house has well and truly begun
23:32i'm gonna do it it's my body i'm gonna get it done so i'm just gonna have to put up
23:38with her not liking it
23:41they've been together for nearly a year now but i think they've got to that stage now where they're
23:46starting to see each other's faults yeah it's like them waking up from their dream and seeing them for
23:51who they are warts and all that's when the little arguments start and we're worried that their
23:56relationship is hitting the rocks
24:07it's not long till max's gcse exams but because of his autism he still can't get to grips with english
24:14and he has to pass it to take the next step max just come in living room a sec will
24:21you with his
24:21dream career in engineering hanging by a thread noel is refusing to let max give it all up i've
24:27lined up an english tutor who specializes in neurodivergent students i'm hoping she'll be able
24:33to help max crack his exam we've got to do all we can we can't let him chuck the towel
24:38in he's got to
24:39persevere i've just got to get him on board first you need your english don't you i know i do
24:45but i
24:45don't know how to revise it that's the point of going to see this english tutor she'll hopefully give
24:50you some revision guidance i've kind of just given up with it i don't even really get the point of
24:54english i can speak english and i can understand it at some point you're gonna have to put things down
25:00on paper aren't you but just to be on your engineering course you're gonna be having to write
25:03yeah things aren't you essays and whatever else i think you're just trying to convince yourself you don't
25:08really i've done a mighty good i've done a mighty good job of it so i'm just reminding you you
25:12need
25:12this english hate for you to get everything else and not that you can't move on to do what you
25:17want
25:17just because this damn english i don't quite understand it until i can't really bothered
25:21understanding it so i'm going to go back upstairs goodbye well that went well there's no talking to
25:28him at the moment he's just totally disengaged we're running out of time he needs this tutor to make
25:33him see sense time to get their thinking caps on so what could we do to make him go we
25:42thought and
25:42thought and we brainstormed what the heck can we do dangle him out the window don't tempt me
25:48take his computer off him doesn't work when they're this age they'll just face you off clean the
25:54camper van toilet we could maybe pay him no maybe not that make him share a room with oscar and
26:00casper
26:01oh yeah then we had a brain wave temptation we need to remind max what he could be missing out
26:08on if he doesn't put his mind to it bit like he is what you could have won yeah
26:18time for noel to put their bright idea into action reminding max about his dream job working with
26:24extreme machines i decided to take max to a bae careers day they manufacture everything that max
26:33dreams about and would love to work on submarines aircraft that's just max all over
26:40it's like a very large fish it works for fish it might work for a sub max was on such
26:46a downer
26:46about his english exam i just felt like he needed a pickup something to inspire him knuckle down and
26:51help him with his english revision but this is my last throw of the dice if we can't engage him
26:56here
26:56then there's not much more we can do hello yeah right let's go now for the guided tour courtesy of
27:07connor and rachel from bae this is the mechanical bench you've got different things that you make
27:14with machinists although we're always learning in here it's not just get your head down do the work
27:21we try and make it as appealing as fun as possible i think he's finding it very interesting
27:25his max he's listening he's wanting to get involved and and learn all about it connor has a test for
27:31the
27:31wannabe apprentice this book we've got here it's an isometric drawing i'm going to give you a piece
27:36of wire i want you to bend what you see don't worry getting it wrong but if you get it
27:43right i'll be
27:59just for actions i can see why he wants to get into the type of job that he wants to
28:03get into that's
28:04what i got let's have a look at it compared to that that's right are you doing it right put
28:10it down
28:10there max oh my god you're well done i'm just that good you are just that good my life is
28:18pies the pies
28:19you eat not pies in maths and all the rest of it so it's nice to have such a clever
28:24lad in the family
28:25but he's way above my peer grade of understanding what he's doing max has passed that test but
28:32getting into bae will not be easy it's always competitive everyone is always trying to fight
28:39to get into this place you need maths english science different trades require different levels of
28:46passes and what's your concern english in general because i'm not very good at that i struggled with
28:51my english as well coming out of school it wasn't until the job was offered that i actually knuckled
28:57down and did what i need to do to get around here today has been a resounding success looking at
29:06all
29:06this has inspired me because i want to get into it but it's hard to get in i got to
29:10focus and get the
29:11grades i need right thanks very much thanks for your time good luck max does this make you want to
29:18knuckle down even more max for your exams especially english you really need to focus on that i already
29:23wanted to get good grades but now like really do feel like i've got to do you want to get
29:28in here
29:28gotta take quite a lot of effort if it's a career that you want
29:33it seems max is going to engage but is it too little too late right do you want to head
29:39home i do i want
29:40some food i would not mind a gregs are you sure that's brain food max
29:53steven is absent again where did you go he's supposed to be at the gym but i don't know fearing
30:00their dream is drifting away ellie wants to take steven on another adrenaline-fueled weekend
30:06and has called in favorite sister amy to help with some shopping look it actually says two
30:11person capacity double skin tent we're here today to find some bits for a day i've planned
30:19so i'm planning like an adventure day i like camping kind of hoping he'll like it as well
30:26make sure he can make his coffee i imagine that would have more weekends away but there's always
30:32something that gets in the way our one year anniversary is coming up and i do want it to be
30:38special because it's a long time one year i have said to him that i've planned something but
30:43you're not telling him what no so i'm hoping he likes it and he's not like oh i've been saying
30:49to
30:50him for a while amy he left once when ellie and steven first met they just bounced off each other
30:55loves young dream recently there's just been a few things that we disagreed on so ellie trying to
31:01push steven to do the bungee jumping pushing him towards not getting the tattoo that he wants
31:07so there's just been a little bit of disagreement within the relationship which isn't like them two
31:13ellie's got the weekend all booked and planned time to tell steven
31:25i was really looking forward to a weekend away i was very disappointed
31:29i have no idea what he's playing at but he's being mysterious
31:39nolan sue's plan to inspire the young engineer has worked max has agreed to meet olivia an english
31:46tutor and neurodivergent specialist the thing i worry about with max he's going to fail his exam
31:52and if he doesn't get this exam result that he needs for english it's came over before he's even
31:56started hello hi max lovely nice to meet you you're right i'll probably leave you to it with max and
32:04then
32:04yeah no problem just come and sit down max yeah sure so english literature we're going to focus on
32:09christmas carol today max is working with olivia on the lead up to his exams it's now or never i
32:17struggle
32:17with connecting quotes like what they mean where they are in the text and putting them into a sentence
32:23i can't really do olivia realizes that max thinks in terms of formula and rules so she's got a clever
32:29method of getting him to think of english in the same way this process that i'm going to show you
32:34today
32:35is really going to help you do that so the chunking process takes that big task splitting it up into
32:42manageable pieces breaking down information into smaller parts makes it less overwhelming and easier
32:48to remember new material what you need to do is chunk that and split it into small manageable pieces
32:54pick two of these that you think happens during the story internal monologue do you think that's
33:01something that scrooge does yeah he does it when he's talking to ghost of marley absolutely says
33:07you're no more grave than gravy when that tricard is shivering to his bone so that works cliffhangers
33:13i mean you can kind of say tiny tin but it gets resolved at the end yeah so definitely still
33:17and
33:17then flashback and flash forwards as the ghosts yeah absolutely so flashback and flashback flash forwards
33:22is a really obvious one for us to use so just gives that a circle lovely you've just got a
33:28very unique set
33:29of skills and unfortunately some you have some skills that are just incredibly difficult for you
33:36to master the repetition and yeah olivia seems really good and uh helpful towards max this is
33:42really his last chance saloon you've done really really well there max do you feel like this has been
33:47useful i do feel like this has been useful i i can definitely answer questions better than what i did
33:52before yeah i think that will help me quite a lot during the exam how did he get on he's
33:56absolutely
33:57brilliant he's he's really open about his autism and his and things that he's found difficult so now
34:01all these little extra tools and tips from max what are his chances of passing do you think at the
34:07end of the day these gcses are not guaranteed and max is a borderline kid he needs to change mindset
34:15to
34:16i can do i can do this okay i'm glad he's engaged i'm just hope it's not too late
34:32it has been a testing time for ellie and stephen's dream relationship and now they seem to have hit the
34:39rocks
34:44we should have been going to the lakes today after work but stephen blew me out i'm annoyed to be
34:50honest

34:58towards me beeping its horn what are you doing need a lift why are you in the driver's seat
35:11stephen has been keeping a secret that explains exactly why he hasn't been around
35:19past my driving test buzzing i was pretty nervous this morning like i've been up since
35:24four in the morning but uh went pretty smooth to be fair quite happy with myself i was over the
35:30moon the best feeling ever one of the biggest motivations so me and ellie could go out and do
35:34things like going to lakes and stuff like mr romantic oh see me car
35:44what does ellie know ellie doesn't know a right lot i've just been smashing lessons like three times a
35:49week so i'm gonna surprise her and pick her up from work i was a bit shocked when i seen
35:53him
35:54drive i couldn't believe he was doing secret driving lessons i didn't tell ellie in case i failed
35:59i was at home a lot on my own so i was like what's going on i'm very bad at
36:04lying as well so it was
36:06quite difficult for me to uh lie about doing my driving lessons i'm really happy for him i just got
36:12away with saying i was going to the gym well then you usually send me a snapchat when you're in
36:16the gym
36:16and you didn't what did you think i was doing then well i don't know i'm not getting up to
36:21mischief
36:23no never i think it is quite hard getting into a relationship when you're young and just starting
36:29to get used to each other and to know each other how each other tick and you know it's easy
36:33to
36:33misunderstand each other do you understand me no do you know how i tick after 37 years well we should

37:27as stressful how many times have we been are you counting 12. well max is number 13 so hopefully
37:35it's a lucky 13 not an unlucky one lucky 13 never heard of that before no
37:57now that stephen's got a set of wheels he's whisking ellie away for a surprise
38:05right close your eyes watch your head stay that way you can't see through my fingers can you
38:12i can't wait to surprise ellie she really deserves it right

38:39it's going it's getting going it's going tonight we have fire oh i love fires
38:46having successfully navigated the little blip in their relationship they can now carry on living the
38:53dream i never doubted him it's quite relieving for me now because it was in the back of my mind
38:57a little
38:58bit that she was wondering what what i was up to and it was a misunderstanding but we still love

40:40today is a big day for the radford family decorations are here cake's here specifically
40:47for max max gets his gcfc results today so we're going to decorate the kitchen and hopefully he's
40:54going to get the result that he really wants maths and science i think he'll do okay it's just the
41:00english if i'm honest i'm not convinced he's going to pass his english he did put some effort in towards
41:05the end but he's had a lot of struggles along the way the odds are properly stacked against him
41:11while the party planners are in full swing max is on tenterhooks i'm not sure how long but soon my
41:20results email should come in you always want the best for your kids but sometimes some things really
41:27tie you in knots and the thing is if max doesn't get his english result that he needs i don't
41:31know what

42:23max doesn't look happy you think he's passed
42:28i'm quite confident that if he hasn't i think we all need to be there for him
42:32give me a bit of support because it obviously means a lot a pass

43:25i've started a levels i don't need to worry about dicking shakespeare i can just learn about what i
43:29want to learn about like planes max has realized if you want something bad enough you've got to put
43:34the graft in to reach your ambitions no matter what life throws at you you definitely do have to
43:39believe in yourself to make your dreams come true i feel excited for what the future will hold in
