00:00Two kingdoms at the crossroads of war, for peace in Hoshido, and the glory of Noor.
00:07At the epicenter of this conflict stands a young royal named Corrin.
00:11Will the prince side with the family that raised him in Noor, or his true bloodline in Hoshido?
00:18Whatever he decides, war is inevitable.
00:33We'll begin in Hoshido, a land of plenty devoted to peace.
00:38Its citizens happily pledge allegiance to the benevolent Queen Mikoto, who, like her royal heirs, descends from the Dawn Dragon
00:45itself.
00:46To the west lies the kingdom of Noor.
00:49Its rulers, descending from the Dusk Dragon, were left with a hunger for conquest.
00:54Deeply entrenched in the barbaric wishes of their monarch, King Garin,
00:58Nor has set its sights on the Hoshidan throne.
01:03Any hope for civil relations was severed completely after the murder of Hoshido's king, Sumeragi.
01:10That's when Corrin, then a child, was stolen away to be raised as a Noorian royal.
01:17Having lived his life sheltered behind the Noorian border, fate has returned him to his blood kin.
01:23Now, he must decide which kingdom to lead into battle.
01:27At the apex of the Hoshidan and Noorian armies, are dozens of elite soldiers willing to follow Corrin's every command.
01:37During the player phase, he can check a unit's status, instruct them to move, or order them to attack.
01:47Once his decisions are made, the enemy will make their advance.
01:55A significant consideration for any commander in training is the weapon triangle system.
02:01As in the popular hand game Rock, Paper, Scissors, one weapon always has the advantage.
02:09But keep in mind, the materials used to craft weapons from silver to bronze also affect their rank.
02:16As an added layer to the strategy, units can pair up.
02:20While this affords the player certain stat boosts, it technically decreases the amount of terrain these units can cover.
02:31For the first time in history, units can be paired before battle begins.
02:39If efficiency is Corrin's goal, that's where auto battle comes in.
02:43After selecting preset tactics, units can move automatically without Corrin micromanaging their every step.
02:50And now, more than ever, a unit's position on the map is reflected in every action they take.
03:01I can always count on you.
03:04That said, there is one move that only royal family members, like Corrin, can make.
03:09The dragon blood flowing through their veins allows them to tap into glowing spots on the battlefield called dragon veins.
03:18These powerful resources can initiate a host of strategies unique to every map.
03:26A litany of obstacles stand in Corrin's way, and from all directions, an army of dissidents rises.
03:34An important consideration when faced with permadeath, units that die cannot be revived in classic mode.
03:41That is, unless phoenix mode has been selected.
03:44Phoenix mode allows units to be revived the turn after their demise.
03:48In addition, casual mode allows the deceased to be resurrected at the beginning of the next chapter.
03:54As the saying goes, all is fair in love and war.
03:59And this is only the beginning.
04:02In the next episode, it's Hoshido vs. Noor.
04:06As our examination gets up close and personal with the star-crossed royal families.
04:12And who is the mysterious Azura?
