Muslims gathered in many mosques and places including Manhattan's Washington Square Park and the Islamic Center of San Diego in the United States on March 20 for Eid al-Fitr prayers, marking one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar.

They reflected on the war with Iran and conflicts in other parts of the world, saying that people should value human lives.

00:29there because people they should be merciful to each other and most of the time the war
00:36comes because out of greed and out of animosity and hatred if we can take care of that all
00:44of us we can live in peace and all of us we can be merciful to each other and I
00:51wish peace
00:52for everybody.
01:11We hope for the best for everyone I think it's unfortunate for everyone affected their
01:15civilians on both sides of the conflict that are affected and the world is stopping my
01:20parents currently live in Pakistan so I just hope for the best for that region for everyone
01:24in that region.
01:31My religion teaches me that we sanctify all human life regardless of background and where
01:38we today celebrate our holiday we remember people who are struggling in the streets of
01:43New York City as much as people are struggling in the streets of Sudan, the streets of Palestine,
01:49the streets of Iran and in other parts of the world where unfortunately you could probably
01:53have an endless list.
01:55We need to stop letting greed and money run the world and there needs to be peace there.
02:05America is a tyrant and it needs to end.
