00:01Hey everybody, I'm Matt Sciaccia.
00:03I've been invited to the studio in Paris, along with some other community members,
00:06to see what's new in the world of Ghost Recon.
00:07So let's check it out.
00:22Well, we've been invited as a group of gamers
00:25to come over to Ubisoft Studios in Paris to meet the Ghost Recon development team.
00:30So we had a chance to meet the producer and all the guys.
00:34We met the whole development team and said thanks to them.
00:37It's been a great visit.
00:38We'll be doing so and having workshops and giving feedback on different subjects
00:43that the devs want our input on.
00:45We met, had breakfast with Yves this morning,
00:49and we were able to ask him some questions.
00:51And it was really cool for me to be able to see the CEO of a billion euro company
00:55talking to some gamers about, you know, what they like and what they want out of the game.
00:59We kind of sat down with a little bit of an introduction,
01:02interview to the, I guess with the developers this morning,
01:06and they kind of went over the game with us, the general overview and all that,
01:09and then we got to sit down and actually play a demo.
01:14I like the openness and that you can do the missions in the order that you want to,
01:20like in the old games.
01:22It's a throwback and back to the roots in that respect.
01:25Open world, it's a good idea, but it's a huge, huge step for Ghost Recon, for sure.
01:31I'm excited, but it's going to be different.
01:32I was blown away by the, like, the scope and the scale of the map and everything like that.
01:37Just, you can go, you can go everywhere.
01:40Like, we jumped in a helicopter and we took off and we flew for, like, you know,
01:45minutes doesn't seem like a long time, but when you're in a helicopter,
01:48you're actually covering a lot of ground and we still didn't even hit the edge of the map.
01:52And it was awesome. The scenery looks amazing. The map itself looks amazing.
01:57As a player, I can just play the way I want and I can get in with my buddies
02:01and we can do it how we like, we can approach it how we like.
02:03So, you know, being driven down rails, it feels again like you're a proper player.
02:07It doesn't feel like you're in some interactive movie.
02:12I'm a big fan of co-op and I was really hoping for something like this,
02:16where, you know, buddies can jump in and just play for a while
02:19and if they jump out, they jump back out. It's not, it's not, you know,
02:23we all have to get into a lobby, make sure we have four guys and go.
02:26Co-op's always been a big, big part of Ghost Recon.
02:30So I was pleased today, that was the focus today was co-op.
02:33It was pleasing to see that it's been a large focus of, obviously,
02:36the development process has been on co-op play.
02:40So yeah, four of us playing co-op, not a problem.
02:43Communicate, very quickly communicating, because although it's different from earlier Ghost Recon's,
02:50due to the scope of it, it's still Ghost Recon, a squad-based tactical shooter.
02:54So yeah, the co-op is going to be amazing.
02:58There's a mission where we have to go to attack,
03:02to attack, to destroy the communication antennas.
03:06And in fact, it will have a certain impact on the neighboring camps.
03:12That's to say, by destroying these antennas,
03:15when we attack a camp around,
03:19they won't be able to make the reinforcements,
03:22because the communications are closed,
03:25and so they will be delivered to themselves.
03:26I'm a huge vehicle fan.
03:28I'm a huge fan of helicopters and aircraft and stuff like that.
03:31So I was pumped to see that Ghost Recon has brought aircraft into the game.
03:36And not only did they bring them in,
03:38but they've got them operating with AI,
03:41and you know, your players and all that kind of stuff.
03:43You can get in them.
03:44You can see the AI fly around with them and stuff like that.
03:47And the non-player characters,
03:49and they actually worked really well with them.
03:51So that was probably one of my favorite features.
03:57This is a game that we would have had, I think,
03:59if they could have made it when the original Ghost Recon came out.
04:02It really is feeling like it's a Ghost Recon game.
04:05This is the natural progression for it.
04:06This open world where it's still up to you,
04:08and it's up to the player.
04:09It's nice to see them get back to that.
04:13I'll say, community, this is the game you've been asked for.
04:16I feel like there's a real experience behind it.
04:20You guys are going to be excited.
04:21If you enjoy open world games in the Tom Clancy universe,
04:24like the previous games,
04:25you're going to enjoy this one with your friends.
04:27The game, frankly, is great.
04:29They're going to really enjoy it.
04:30You guys need to be really pumped for this game.
04:33It's probably the most fun that I've had with a Ghost Recon game,
04:36since probably Grah 2.
04:39You guys don't even know what Ghost Recon is like
04:42when you've just got almost infinite map coverage
04:45to just go and explore.
04:47It's super fun.
04:48It's going to open up all sorts of different opportunities
04:52within the game, gameplay-wise.
04:53Very interesting, and I'm very excited to see
04:56where Ubisoft's going to take it.
04:57You guys are going to love it.
04:59It's insane.
05:00The size alone of the world that you get to play around in
05:03and the toys at your disposal is insane.
05:06It's going to blow your mind.
05:07Thank you, devs.
