00:01Oh my gosh, Danny, I don't know what it is, but I cannot quit dreaming about auctions and it's
00:07Moreno Valley every time. I don't know if this is a premonition, but it was weird. Every time I
00:13open the unit, a rodeo clown would come flying out. And I go to look for you, and where are
00:19you?
00:19You're riding the bull. Don't forget the train ladies. I'm serious. Did I ride the bull for the
00:2815 seconds or whatever? Eight seconds, and yes, you did. My daddy can ride the bull. Only for eight seconds.
00:34Is that all it takes? I do know that.
00:41When storage units are abandoned, the treasures within are put up for auction. I think I scored on this.
01:01It is such a beautiful day.
01:08I woke up happy going to Moreno Valley. It's one of my favorite facilities. They always have something good for
01:16me there, and I am pretty sure I'm going to kill it today.
01:19Damn it, it's pretty outside today.
01:23Maryspines.com is doing really well right now.
01:27Maryspines.com
01:28But there's nothing left of my sight. It's all sold out. I think I've pretty much tapped out Dallas.
01:34I guess you can say I'm too successful.
01:38So I'm back in L.A. to restock my store.
01:41I've decided to come back to California because I always find good stuff here.
01:45So I'm hoping to at least go home with one good locker full of trinkets and treasures.
01:50And while I'm at it, I get to see my old pals.
01:54Jeez.
01:56Sir.
01:56Oh, my God.
01:58I almost hit that guy, and he almost hit me.
02:01Just go around.
02:03God.
02:04Man, I do not miss these L.A. drivers.
02:09Why did you bring a baseball?
02:10It's because we've been here before.
02:12We have the Vendorama, the Betty Boop jackets.
02:15The bases are almost loaded.
02:17Back in Moreno Valley, we're going to bring it in for the Grand Slam.
02:21Is that what a Grand Slam is?
02:23Or is it just called a slam?
02:24Grand Slam is when the bases are loaded, and then they hit a home run, and it brings everybody in.
02:30And look, there's a lot of people here.
02:32There's a ton of people.
02:33Hey, isn't that that girl from Texas?
02:36It is.
02:37I can't believe my eyes.
02:40My mom loves being there.
02:42Yeah, good to see you.
02:43I miss you.
02:44You too.
02:45Man, I thought you just got lost in my age.
02:48I know.
02:49Vanished just in there.
02:50I did kind of.
02:51I needed to come back because Texas, I mean, I tapped it out.
02:54There's always more rooms here.
02:56Yeah.
02:56We got rooms over there, rooms over there, rooms over there.
02:59I know.
03:00I'm looking for little treasures and trinkets.
03:02Oh, there is none of those.
03:03I forgot.
03:04Got those last week.
03:08Am I clear?
03:09Yeah, straighten her out.
03:11Go more that way.
03:11It's got a fender coming out.
03:13Oh, my God.
03:14If this is a premonition of today, we're in trouble.
03:17We're just going to have a cockeyed day all day.
03:20Are we?
03:20This is not going to sit right with me.
03:22Like, it's just going to make me feel weird all day long like this.
03:25So, what brings you to our neck of the woods again?
03:28Glutton for punishment?
03:30Yeah.
03:31You missed me?
03:32Yes.
03:32Yeah?
03:33Oh, I knew it.
03:34Oh, my God.
03:37What?
03:38Hey.
03:40I'm so happy to see you.
03:41You, too.
03:42Oh, my God.
03:43Yeah.
03:43Oh, my God.
03:44You keep the secret.
03:46Yeah, I just found her in the parking lot.
03:47Laura, save her.
03:48I am so sorry.
03:49He's having so much trouble.
03:50He can't get out of the car doors.
03:52He's a little bit too close to the thing over there.
03:55I think women do drive better than men.
03:57I don't know.
03:57Have you been in the car with Mary?
04:00You know what?
04:01Hey, Mary.
04:02Hey, Dan.
04:02Good to see you.
04:02I had a dream last night about a rodeo clown coming out of my unit.
04:08Not like you're a rodeo clown, but that's been a Texas.
04:12That's a bit of Texas, right?
04:14Yeah, I live in that in Texas.
04:15I do.
04:15And you are fun.
04:17Yeah.
04:18I'm a little bit of a clown.
04:19Well, all right, then.
04:20You guys look great.
04:21You, too.
04:22Look at us.
04:23Just a couple of rodeo clowns.
04:24Yeah, we're a rodeo clown.
04:27Welcome to the auction.
04:28We're down in Lord Austin with American auctioneers.
04:30Before you go through these gates, you need to know the rules.
04:32Going to go to the unit, remove the lock, open the door,
04:34give you five minutes to take a look around.
04:35You can't go inside the unit.
04:37Can't open any boxes.
04:38And who's ever got the most money in their pocket can own it today.
04:40All right, folks, this way.
04:44Let's go.
04:48Just in case you have forgotten, they're grinding off the lock right now.
04:53Give me a break, Ivy.
04:59It's been here a long time, folks.
05:01Oh, you're right about that.
05:01All right.
05:02In dust, we trust.
05:04And you can't go in it or anything like that, just in case you forgot.
05:07Thank you, Ivy.
05:09Ooh, I think there's going to be a lot of trinkets in that one.
05:11Ooh.
05:13Okay.
05:13Well, there's lots of cobwebs.
05:15That's good.
05:15That means maybe it has not been touched in a long time.
05:19There are a ton of small boxes stacked up, which tells me that there might be some little
05:25treasures and trinkets in there.
05:29Oh, it's a dirty, dusty one.
05:32Only got a nice wash machine and dryer set there, but it looks like a whole lot of Christmas back
05:35there, a whole lot of Halloween here.
05:37I don't like to buy Halloween stuff.
05:38It only sells certain times of the year.
05:40Not mine.
05:42You know what, when you see old TVs means, like, it means it might have some collectible
05:46VHS and some old video games.
05:48Is this the home run?
05:49It's for surely a single.
05:51It could be a triple, though.
05:53Price?
05:53The price doesn't matter.
05:55All right.
05:55Don't let them know that.
05:56I found so many dead cats in my unit yesterday.
06:01Like meow meows?
06:02Yeah, there was one in, like, embalming fluid in a jar.
06:07There was a skeleton.
06:08There was, like, so many things of ashes.
06:12Then they had, like, a bunch of cat stuffed animals and a bunch of cat statues and a bunch
06:17of, like, just pictures of cats and all of the cats.
06:22It was a unit full of.
06:23I was just, like, it was crazy.
06:26After that story, I don't want to buy any more lockers or cats.
06:32Wow.
06:34It's a good thing I'm having a good day, because I don't see anything right out of the gate.
06:37I mean, there might be some cool vintage items, but I don't think this is for me.
06:41So I'm going to let somebody like Ivy have it, because I'm in a good mood.
06:44And getting Dusty does not sound beautiful to me.
06:47So, oh, Dusty can have it, too.
06:49You know, I forgot they were here.
06:51Anybody can have it.
06:52Why are you letting them carry around that baseball?
06:54Because he says we're doing a home run today.
06:56He can be selling a lot of stuff, don't he?
06:57Never trust a man that wears his socks inside of sandals.
07:02All right, I've got to be going to have a 25 unit.
07:04Dust we trust.
07:05Here we go.
07:05And have a 20 with your pleasure.
07:06What are you going to do?
07:07How much money?
07:09Give me one.
07:09One where?
07:10One there.
07:10One there.
07:11A hundred and a half.
07:11A hundred and a half.
07:12What have I do?
07:12What have I do?
07:13What have I do?
07:14Jumping in.
07:14Swimming.
07:15What have I do?
07:15A hundred.
07:15I got two, two, three, three, four, four.
07:17A hundred and a four hundred.
07:18Three, a hundred and a four hundred.
07:19A hundred and a five hundred.
07:20A hundred, a five hundred, a six hundred.
07:21A six hundred, a six hundred.
07:22A six fifty, a six fifty.
07:23A seven hundred.
07:24A seven hundred.
07:24A seven hundred and a seven hundred.
07:27Something dusty would buy.
07:28It's good for the swap meet.
07:30A seven hundred.
07:30A seven hundred and a nine hundred.
07:31Now eight hundred.
07:32A eight hundred and a fifteen.
07:32A eight fifty.
07:33A eight to a nine hundred.
07:34Nine hundred.
07:35Nine nine.
07:35What have I done?
07:35I'mть fifty now.
07:36Nine hundred.
07:37Ninety-one.
07:37One thousand.
07:38A once fifty.
07:39Eleven.
07:39Eleven hundred.
07:40A eleven hundred.
07:40Eleven hundred.
07:40Eleven hundred.
07:41Twelve twelve.
07:42In baseball, you've got to give 110%.
07:45But for this auction, I only need 30.
07:48$1,200, $1,200, $1,200, $1,300.
07:51$1,300, $1,300.
07:53$1,300, $1,300.
07:54$1,300, $1,300.
07:55$1,400, $1,400.
07:55$1,400, $1,500.
07:57Remember what they say.
07:58Scared money don't make money.
08:00$1,500.
08:01$1,500.
08:02Sold it away!
08:03$1,500.
08:04Dusty!
08:05You got it, Dusty!
08:05Dusty, winner.
08:07Oh, Dusty Balls.
08:09I think that's a foul ball.
08:10Your mouth is a foul ball, Ivy.
08:12Nobody cares.
08:13Matter of fact, I think you forgot the bat.
08:15I'm out there playing in the World Series.
08:18Ivy, he's still in the minors.
08:20You know what?
08:20I think this is a unit I was dreaming about.
08:23Really?
08:23I think you got it.
08:24All right.
08:24Right on.
08:25Good.
08:25Good.
08:26No hobo clowns inside?
08:34Here we go.
08:35Five by 10.
08:35Oh, wow.
08:37Oh, OK.
08:38A lot of dust.
08:39A lot of dust.
08:40It's the way we like it.
08:43I know it's very dusty, but it looks
08:45interesting.
08:45That's where the good .
08:46I mean, I like these boxes, though.
08:48They usually have hats.
08:49Yeah, those are some hat boxes.
08:50You know what the problem is, though?
08:51There's not very much stuff in here.
08:53Well, the little you see is interesting.
08:55Yeah, the little you see is interesting.
08:58Ooh, got a poor granny cart.
08:59Take your time, but hurry up.
09:01How do you see anything underneath all the dirt?
09:03I thought that was mud.
09:05I like that duster right there.
09:06Dusters are pretty expensive sometimes.
09:09Ooh, you know what a duster is?
09:10I do.
09:11Ooh, I'm surprised.
09:13I'm a country.
09:14OK, and what do you like?
09:15The Power Wheels pod back there that I just
09:17put ice cold beer in.
09:18OK, and then what?
09:20Nothing else.
09:20That's it, huh?
09:21That's it.
09:21What do you like?
09:25Putting on my rose-colored glasses.
09:28Hit me up when you find something you like.
09:30Uh, you know, I don't want to leave here
09:32without getting one today.
09:33I was so optimistic this morning.
09:35Sometimes there are good things in these dirty units.
09:38There are some boxes, a couple of totes.
09:41If it doesn't go for much, I'm going to try a bit on it.
09:45Just like my Uncle Scooby used to say about dating,
09:47if you want to score, sometimes you got to go ugly early.
09:51Mary, perfect Texas unit right here.
09:54Those look like some cool chairs back there.
09:57Very antique-y, but I'm not looking for trinkets.
10:00And the trinkets that I do see are not what I'm looking for.
10:03This looks like a dirty old man's unit.
10:06So now, unfortunately, not what I'm looking for.
10:11All righty, here we go, a nice little dusty unit.
10:13What are you going to pay for this one, and how long?
10:15Look at me, $100 for him.
10:16One, one, two, one right there.
10:18It's got $100 bucks, $100 and a half, $150, where?
10:31$100 for $150 now.
10:33I got $200 for $200.
10:35$200 for $200.
10:35$200 for $250 going once.
10:36I got $200 more and twice less.
10:38I'm trying to call.
10:39$200.
10:39$200 for $250 not.
10:41$700.
10:41$200.
10:43$25, Brandy.
10:44I'll find something cool in there.
10:46She will.
10:47I know you want to ride that quad.
10:50Lock it up.
10:51Let's go.
10:52That might have been the one I was dreaming about.
10:54Who knows?
10:56I couldn't wait to get started, so I snuck off
10:58to check out what this dusty locker has in store for me.
11:00Let's see what we got here.
11:02Ooh.
11:03It's always a good sign when the plastic bag
11:06disintegrates when you touch it.
11:08Look at that.
11:10Baseball cards.
11:12You're like Renee and get rich.
11:13I've got $30 bucks in here.
11:17These are 8-track.
11:20Well, these are all a little banged up, so.
11:26$20 bucks.
11:27Oh.
11:30What do I can do?
11:33I hit myself in the face.
11:34That's what I can do.
11:36Ow.
11:38Game Boy.
11:39These are actually super-collectible right now.
11:42$100 bucks.
11:44Ooh.
11:45Hold on.
11:45Hold on.
11:46Excuse me.
11:47Getting a page.
11:48Oh, it's just my mom.
11:51Ooh.
11:52All kinds of ugly hats.
11:54Look at that.
11:54Oh, wow.
11:56That's fun.
12:03$20 in hats.
12:05Pack and play.
12:07$40 for the pack and play.
12:10For sure.
12:13Ooh.
12:14Hold on.
12:21That is 18-karat gold.
12:24Gold is up really high right now, so I'd probably get $100 for that.
12:30Hold on.
12:31We're just looking for gold now.
12:32Where's the money, Barkus?
12:33Where's the money?
12:35Come on.
12:35Where's the jewelry box?
12:37Well, I have no gold digger, but I am definitely digging for gold in here somewhere.
12:43Oh!
12:44Oh!
12:44Oh!
12:45Oh!
12:45Oh!
12:46Hold on.
12:47Jewelry box.
12:49Look at this.
12:51That's gold.
12:52And that's gold.
12:54And that's gold.
12:55And that's gold.
12:56That is not gold.
12:57It's cheap.
12:59A pair of gold earrings.
13:01Okay.
13:01More gold.
13:03It's very exciting.
13:04A lot of gold in here.
13:06At least $250.
13:07This gold just paid for my locker.
13:10We're almost done.
13:11One box away.
13:14You guys, there's money in here.
13:17There's probably $18.47 in here.
13:24See?
13:25Pays to be positive.
13:28All right, Magic 8-Ball.
13:29Should I go buy another locker?
13:32All signs point to yes.
13:35All right.
13:36Another good locker on the way.
13:38Laura, where are you guys at?
13:42Yeah.
13:4310 by 15.
13:45All right now.
13:47When it's in shrink wrap, it might not be crap.
13:52There are wardrobe boxes.
13:54There's like three on this side.
13:57There is clothes in them.
13:59I do like this kind of room.
14:00Sometimes they have things inside of them.
14:05Stop it.
14:06You can't kick.
14:07You can't poke.
14:08You can't scratch.
14:08His leg was twitching.
14:11Sorry.
14:12I had a muscle spasm, Danny.
14:14I can't help it.
14:14Woo!
14:16I do need a new fridge, but not that one.
14:18She ain't the one.
14:19Everything's clean and wrapped up, but it's all very old furniture.
14:23Yeah, if I'm staging someone's granny's house, I definitely should buy this.
14:27But I'm not.
14:29It's not for me.
14:30But this definitely might sell at grandma's attic.
14:35Grandma's attic.
14:36You want stuff?
14:37We got stuff.
14:38Occasionally open in Palmdale.
14:39American auctioneers!
14:42This is actually very, very expensive furniture right here.
14:45Looks like there's a bed.
14:47Refrigerator's about the only thing old in here.
14:49There's an old saying, people who take pride in their stuff often have very good stuff.
14:52I might go off that theory today.
14:54Yeah, I'm in.
14:55That's it.
14:56You surround wrap your stuff, take that much time, means you got something good.
15:00There are a few boxes back there, but they all look big, which tells me that there's not
15:06going to be a lot of small little trinket treasures that I'm looking for.
15:09So, this one is a no-go.
15:12This looks like grandma's attic.
15:15Shoot.
15:16Grandma's attic?
15:16Ain't never looked that clean.
15:1810 by 15.
15:19All right.
15:20I got to make a nice 10 by 15 apartment.
15:22100.
15:22I got 100 there.
15:23100 and a half where?
15:24100 and a half.
15:241 to 2 and a half.
15:26I got 2.
15:261 to 2.
15:271 to 2.
15:271 to 2.
15:293.
15:303.
15:303.
15:303.
15:303.
15:313.
15:313.
15:354.
15:374.
15:374.
15:415.
15:496.
15:506.
15:516.
15:54I've got 600 going once, 650 going twice.
15:56Last time, find the colors.
15:57Yeah, woo!
15:586 and a half, 7 and a half.
15:59Put them in 770.
16:00I've got 6 and a half, 7, 7 there.
16:027 and a half, 750.
16:03I've got 700, 700, 750.
16:04We're at 700.
16:057 and a half, 750 going once.
16:07700, 750 going twice.
16:08Last time, find the colors.
16:10Dusty likes to play mind games, but I'm completely unmind-gammable.
16:147 and a half.
16:157 and a half.
16:158 and a half.
16:158 and a half.
16:168 and a half.
16:167 and a half.
16:178 and a half.
16:188 and a half.
16:22Hey, Dusty.
16:24I can waste time, too.
16:25800-850.
16:26800-850 going once.
16:28850 going twice.
16:29That's a fun call.
16:30Yeah.
16:31800-9.

21:59You know, Danny, that might have been the unit
22:01I was dreaming about.
22:09This is what 900 gets you.
22:14Don't open these until you get ready to go home.
22:17Because if it's bad inside like some three-month-old turkey,
22:20you're going to know about it the whole time you load.
22:22Let's get this bed out the way.
22:24This is a nice-looking bed.
22:25Man, looks like all walnut.
22:27I don't see the headboard yet.
22:29This is definitely the footboard.
22:32Oh, look how nice it is.
22:34Wow.
22:35Might even be mahogany or something.
22:37Oh, here it is.
22:38I knew she was in there.
22:40The only disappointment is that it looks like it's a queen.
22:45Queens don't sell as good as king size.
22:48So we got a complete bed with no dents, no scratches,
22:51wrapped in plastic.
22:52Whoo, 300 bucks.
22:54OK.
22:55One of my most favorite things ever to find in units.
22:58Yeah.
22:59Sit this into your bed.
23:00Perfect height.
23:03Watch this.
23:04If you got a big old fat belly, you don't got to bend over far,
23:07reach down, put on your socks.
23:08Mess with your phone a little bit.
23:10Hurry, get out of the bathroom, woman.
23:12I got to go.
23:13Shoot.
23:13Ouch.
23:14Being that this is in immaculate condition, 200 bucks.
23:17Another nice TV stand.
23:19Wow.
23:19Look at the condition of all this furniture.
23:21$350.
23:23Oh, oh, oh, oh.
23:25Yes, sirree, Bob.
23:26Here we go.
23:27Oh.
23:29Different kind of chest.
23:31Ah!
23:32Right here could be all my unit paid for in one.
23:36Bam!
23:37I guess this is a drinker.
23:38I guess you put your cigars or something in there,
23:40and you can put three, four shots in there.
23:43Wow, that's pretty.
23:44I found a lot of trunks in my day.
23:46But these trunks, being that they're miniature, cool shape,
23:49so much detail, so clean, tells me that there's something
23:51about these trunks that I just don't know.
23:53And when I don't know something, the rule is,
23:55find somebody who do.
23:57You guys, hold tight.
23:58We're going to find out a little bit more about you.
24:02Oh, another baby trunk.
24:04Come on, be some jewelry.
24:05Come on, be some jewelry.
24:06Wow.
24:07Yes, it is.
24:08All righty.
24:09Let's see.
24:10That's gold there.
24:12That's gold there.
24:13Silver there.
24:14Well, not the best jewelry, not the worst.
24:16This whole entire pile right here, $200 worth of jewelry.
24:19Well, oh, what we got here?
24:21I know this is a bench and a piano.
24:25Ah!
24:36Nice.
24:37Some people like to tickle the ivory.
24:39I like to tickle the ivies.
24:42Uh-huh.
24:43$400.
24:44Well, let's get to these clothes.
24:46Got about 10 or 12 boxes.
24:48And clothes it is.
24:51I don't deal in too much clothes.
24:52They don't sell very good at grandma's attic.
24:54So I pretty much just toss them aside and move on to what does.
24:57But you know what?
24:58I know who does.
25:01Dusty!
25:02Lupe!
25:07Lupe!
25:10That's the voice I used to call Ivy Junior home with when he was a kid.
25:13Never fails.
25:15Dusty!
25:16Yeah?
25:17This way.
25:17You called?
25:19I called.
25:19Whoa, you got some clothes.
25:21Check it out.
25:21Y'all loved them clothes.
25:23Wow.
25:25It looks like you have a lot of skirts, a lot of dress clothes.
25:30Hats!
25:30I love hats.
25:32This hat would look good on you.
25:33Here's some shoes.
25:35Wow.
25:36You had some good stuff.
25:37So what are you thinking?
25:45$300.
25:47What about with the jewelry?
25:49Deal!
25:51What are you doing?
25:52I like the stuff.
25:55I call that an inside the park home run for Ivy.
25:59The last part of the deal is, Dusty, open that fridge.
26:16Oh!
26:17Oh, my God.
26:22Why, bro?
26:24Not clean fridge?
26:2550 bucks.
26:26You loading it and taking it home?
26:28Priceless.
26:30I can smell it, Al.
26:32I'm going to lunch.
26:34Lupe set us back $300 buying those clothes from Ivy.
26:38It's time to come out swinging.
26:43Let's see what $1,500 gets us in Moreno Valley.
26:48It looks like housewares, though.
26:49Bunch of Pyrex bowls and stuff.
26:5120 bucks for all that.
26:52Good.
26:54That's cool.
26:55Glass punch bowls.
26:5610 bucks.
26:57Oh, it's so heavy!
26:59I'm just kidding.
27:00This is an older one.
27:01Everybody loves a blow mold.
27:03It looks like a 60s or 1970s.
27:05Looks like it's one of the ones made by Empire.
27:07It's probably at least a hundred bucks.
27:09Nice.
27:09And it'll sell in like 32.3 seconds of coming off the truck
27:13at any flea market.
27:14Could I go in the front yard for a little bit?
27:16Sure.
27:16Okay.
27:18There you go.
27:19What is it?
27:20It's a clock.
27:21Okay.
27:21Look how cool it is, though.
27:22All little mosaic rocks.
27:23At a good antique show, we could ask a hundred bucks for this.
27:27All right.
27:28This looks like kitchen.
27:30Bathroom.
27:31All mixed.
27:32$10.
27:33Moving on.
27:34Look, Jingle Bells.
27:36A bunch of brand new dishes.
27:3830 bucks.
27:39Look, even with these terrible boxes, one thing I learned in this business is you can
27:43just dollar your way to paradise.
27:46You can also penny your way to purgatory.
27:48This thing's actually pretty cool.
27:50This is a kaleidoscope.
27:51You should try it.
27:52It's really cool.
27:54Ooh.
27:55What do you see in there, Lupe?
27:56Regret for buying this unit?
27:58It's like you're looking on a microscope at the germs.
28:0130 bucks.
28:02You know what?
28:03I got a five-disc CD changer.
28:04What's special about that?
28:06Absolutely nothing.
28:07Guess what?
28:08I got a pillow.
28:09Oh, it's a KitchenAid.
28:10Ooh, this is good.
28:11Looks brand new.
28:12This is at least 200.
28:14Well, you know what, Lupe?
28:15I got $50 in stereo equipment right here.
28:20Ooh.
28:21I found Pokemon cards.
28:23Now we're talking.
28:23Let me see.
28:24I don't know anything about Pokemon.
28:25Oh, these are the older ones.
28:27Is that good?
28:28I mean, it's better.
28:29There's at least 300 in Pokemon.
28:31I went from playing in the World Series to trading B-rate Pokemon cards.
28:35This really is a brutal game.
28:38It said hamper, but it's just full of, uh, Lupe.
28:43I think this sums up our whole locker.
28:47Crap.
28:48I wish I could just wipe this locker clean.
28:50That would take a lot of toilet paper.
28:54Man.
28:56I don't want to buy any lockers for at least two days after this.
29:00No.
29:01Actually, I lied.
29:01I want to go buy a locker as fast as possible.
29:04Really?
29:05A good one.
29:05I need a reboost.
29:06Well, you never know.
29:07I can find $10 in a purse.
29:09Oh.
29:17Wait a second.
29:20Stupid.
29:21Yeah.
29:24Time to work it out with my sister from another mister.
29:27Got it.
29:27My excavator from another master.
29:31Never mind.
29:33Let's get started.
29:37All right.
29:38All right.
29:41All right.
29:42Well, these pots are great.
29:44I mean, who doesn't love a terracotta?
29:46$100 for the three of those.
29:49Ooh.
29:49What are these blue wrens?
29:51Those are cool.
29:53Looks like there's pretty good tread on them.
29:55$100 for all four.
29:56So, this being put up against the fireplace to keep all the embers out.
30:01These both look vintage from the cloth feet, you can tell.
30:04So, this piece in the brass, I'm going to say $100.
30:07Lots of crafty in here.
30:10Full box is cool.
30:11Probably get $40 for that.
30:13Wow.
30:13What in the buffalo bill is going on here?
30:16Why does everyone have wigs?
30:17Wigs, heads, and headstands.
30:20Probably have $200 in wigs.
30:22Oh, so sorry, Tammy.
30:23I'm going to throw you on the ground.
30:25Mm-hmm.
30:26Adhesive spray.
30:28She was a crafty lady.
30:30Here we go.
30:31I feel like I need this.
30:34Business is good.
30:35Business is good.
30:38Blueprint for living.
30:40Oh, Jesus is the way.
30:44Ooh.
30:44Two of me.
30:45The struggle with sin.
30:46Sin here with Jesus.
30:48That makes sense.
30:50I wonder if Mary's locker is as holy as mine.
30:53This is a Christmas tree.
30:55This one's already set up and ready to go.
30:5820 bucks.
30:59Okay.
31:00Cute.
31:00Vintage ornaments.
31:02I can use these for my Christmas wreaths.
31:04My friend Jenny and I have been making all these Christmas wreaths,
31:07which we're going to sell on maryspines.com.
31:10maryspines.com
31:11Now with wreaths.
31:15Because last year I did it and they did very well.
31:17So this is actually perfect.
31:19Another 50 bucks in supplies.
31:22Those are some big, heavy tables.
31:24And there are...
31:28Seven.
31:30Seventh heaven.
31:31100 bucks in tables.
31:33Oh.
31:35Hey, lady.
31:37Keep it down over there.
31:39Jeez.
31:42How's it going over there?
31:43Super fantastic.
31:45Have you made your money back yet?
31:47I did.
31:48How about you?
31:49Yes.
31:50Chip chipperoo to the both of us.
31:51It's Christmas over here.
31:54The Lord is on my side over here for sure.
31:58Ooh, here's some lights.
31:59A box of lights of 10 bucks.
32:01Ooh, what are these?
32:07These are for some serious snow.
32:10Oh my gosh, so cool.
32:12Looks like legit leather.
32:14I think they're for walking in the snow.
32:17Oh, more of these.
32:18What?
32:19Old school snow boots.
32:22Oh, and they have the sticks that go with them.
32:24Wow, these are so cool.
32:27There are, what, three sets of these guys.
32:29This one looks a little bit more modern.
32:31It's made of metal.
32:32The newer version and the older version.
32:35I mean, I think maybe I need to get these checked out, because they look old.
32:38They're for sure vintage.
32:39Looks like these were handmade.
32:41I have no idea how much they're worth, but I think they're for sure worth something.
32:45So I can't wait to see what these are all about.
32:47All right, patio.
32:49It's just two chairs and the table, but there's no rust.
32:52Just clean this layer of dust off of them and get $40.
32:58And I think that's the end of the value in here.
33:02All in all, I had fun.
33:05It's a good day.
33:07Got to run into Mary.
33:09Picking up.
33:10Oh my gosh, so cute.
33:12What is so cute?
33:13I love these mittens.
33:15Look how cute these are, Brandi.
33:17So vintage, old school.
33:19Cute.
33:19Which is it, vintage or old school?
33:21Both.
33:23Did you find some treasures?
33:25Well, I got lots of Christmas stuff, which I've been making Christmas wreaths, so it's actually perfect.
33:31You've been making wreaths?
33:32Uh-huh.
33:33How very merry of you.
33:34Yes.
33:36Christmassy.
33:37All right, I'm going to scoot on out of here.
33:39Was it good to see you?
33:40Yeah, good to see you.
33:41I'll see you.
33:42Yes.
33:43Yeah, we'll hang out while you're here.
33:44Okay, for sure.
33:45Let's get drunk.
33:48So, the snow stuff, growing up in Texas.
33:51I don't know much about snow.
33:53But I'm excited to find out more.
33:55And all this stuff that I got, I made my money back.
33:58So, couldn't be happier.
34:00Win and a win.
34:07Melissa.
34:08Melissa.
34:08All right.
34:09It's the right place.
34:10If anyone knows how to check a box, it's my friend and antiquer, Melissa Levinson.
34:14Here's hoping they're worth a trip.
34:20Melissa.
34:21Hey, Ivy.
34:22Well, I got the stuff I told you I was bringing.
34:24Those are fabulous.
34:25Little one and a big one.
34:27Which one do you want?
34:28Let's look at the big one first.
34:30All right.
34:31Check this out.
34:32Let's see what we got here.
34:33Well, they're antique tea caddies.
34:35They were used to store tea back in the late 18th century.
34:40So, these are both lovely examples of Regency.
34:44The Regency boxes were usually done in mahogany, sometimes kingwood, and rosewood.
34:51May I please see that one?
34:53Oh, man.
34:53I know.
34:54I know.
34:55I'm asking a lot here.
34:56This is a sarcophagus shape, which is a coffin.
35:01Ooh.
35:01Yeah, right?
35:02I don't like that one already.
35:03Around that time, Napoleon traveled to Egypt, and the Europeans became really into Egyptology.
35:12So, you'll see a lot of the sarcophagus shape.
35:17This is called a triple tea caddy, because there are three compartments.
35:23These held the tea, and this would have held the sugar.
35:28They called it a mixing bowl.
35:29Everything looks original and intact.
35:33There was some keys in one of them.
35:34There are actually the two original keys in this.
35:38With a little tassel.
35:38Yes.
35:39Which is a great detail.
35:41Now, nobody uses these, of course, anymore to store tea.
35:45They're decorative boxes.
35:46They're beautiful.
35:47I have my collection of tortoiseshell boxes.
35:49I've had these for 25 years.
35:52They're 200 years old, and the sea turtles are extremely endangered.
35:57So, you can't sell these.
35:59You can own them, but you certainly can't transport them in and out of the country.
36:0425 years ago, I paid $5,000 for this tortoiseshell tea caddy.
36:11And if they're in this kind of condition, they're known to go up to $20,000 for a tea caddy.
36:21All right.
36:21Let's get down to business.
36:23I want to know what these bad boys worth.
36:24Okay.
36:26Let's discuss this one first.
36:28This one, it's done in a beautiful flame mahogany.
36:34With the key.
36:35It's the triple compartment with the center.
36:40Whoops.
36:41There's the extra key.
36:43With the keys.
36:45The keys.
36:46There are two keys with beautiful detailing around the lids.
36:51It's very handsome, and it's very heavy.
36:54You can feel the quality in this box.
37:00I want to know what these bad boys worth.
37:04I think that you could fetch $350.
37:12That's what I thought it'd be.
37:13Okay.
37:14Then we have the smaller box here.
37:16The sarcophagus.
37:17The sarcophagus.
37:18Mm-hmm.
37:19It's a fruit wood box.
37:21Beautiful shape.
37:22Original brass handles.
37:25It has the original lids.
37:28And the detailing's exquisite.
37:31It is in excellent condition.
37:35Really beautiful.
37:37A little more collectible than this one.
37:41I would put this at a price of $650.
37:50$1,000 for the two?
37:51$1,000 for the pair.
37:53Ain't nothing like a good old grand on a hard day's work.
37:55Absolutely.
37:56Thank you, thank you.
37:57Oh, thank you.
37:57Guess what I'm going to go do?
37:58You're going to go buy some tea.
38:00Nope.
38:01Make me a grand.
38:02Oh!
38:03So you're going to become a tea connoisseur.
38:05I am.
38:06A tea connoisseur.
38:15Greeny and I are driving to the Mountain High Ski Resort
38:18to get this snow stuff checked out.
38:21I drove all the way to Cali.
38:24Well, it's a few more miles on the odometer.
38:27Hi.
38:28Brandy, Mary.
38:29How you girls doing?
38:30Good.
38:30We got the stuff.
38:33All right.
38:33Look at this.
38:34What is out here?
38:35Yes.
38:35We got all kinds of stuff.
38:36Wow, all right.
38:37How you doing?
38:38Great.
38:38How about you girls?
38:39Cold.
38:41Well, that's incredible.
38:42Let's take a look.
38:43These look amazing.
38:45These look terrific.
38:46Okay.
38:47And we got some poles here as well.
38:49Yep.
38:50Look at these guys.
38:51These look a little bit newer.
38:53Oh, yeah.
38:54With the metal.
38:54With the metal aluminum.
38:55That's to make it a little bit stronger and lighter, more durable.
38:58Okay.
38:59Okay.
38:59Those are great.
39:00These are really interesting though.
39:01These are just for art.
39:03Like these don't have foot straps on them and probably wouldn't be too usable.
39:06Do you think somebody used those, but there's no longer straps and they became decorative?
39:10That's my assumption.
39:11Yeah.
39:11There needs to be something on here to attach it to the foot and that's been lost to time.
39:16How old do you think they are?
39:17These probably look like they're the oldest of the bunch.
39:20I would say 1940s.
39:21Okay.
39:22These other two, these are the newest of the three.
39:26This is leather right here.
39:27Not rawhide like that might be.
39:29But these are actually in really good condition.
39:31I would venture to say these have never been used.
39:33Nice.
39:34You might have a brand new pair on your hands.
39:35Wow.
39:36Maybe they're on someone's wall for a while.
39:38But these could be used right now if you want to take them out and try them out.
39:40Sure.
39:41These could definitely work.
39:42Saddle up, Mary.
39:42Okay.
39:44I mean, would somebody use these that are this large?
39:46They seem awfully awkward.
39:47Believe it or not, the bigger the better.
39:49When you're in deep snow, it's the size of the footprint that actually displaces your weight.
39:53Okay.
39:53And that's what makes it easier for you to kind of stay on top of the snow.
39:56And in fact, if you're interested, this is what modern day snow shoes look like.
39:59So quite a bit different.
40:00This is what someone would use here for hunting and mountain climbing these days.
40:03These are light, easier to just strap on your backpack and carry them up.
40:07So if you're ever doing any winter exploring, this is what you can see in someone's back.
40:10I'm not much of a winter explorer.
40:12I prefer sunshine and sand.
40:15We're in Southern California.
40:16So believe it or not, the ocean is an hour and a half that way.
40:20And the Mojave Desert is about 30 minutes that way.
40:22So we're right in the middle at 8,000 feet.
40:24Such a cool state, California.
40:26You can go anywhere.
40:27You know, go to the beach, go to the desert, go to the snow.
40:31Typical Californian.
40:32Never stops talking about how cool California is.
40:36Okay, so what do you think for the total of all these guys?
40:40Well...
40:41Yeah, money.
40:41We're gonna talk about money now.
40:43We've got four sets of snow shoes here.
40:44Three of them are definitely usable, although these two might be best on the wall.
40:48We've got two sets of poles here.
40:51I'd say you're probably looking at around $5.50.
40:56What?
40:57Okay.
40:58That's great.
40:59You can buy me dinner.
41:00Yes.
41:01All right, well, we've got snow shoes.
41:03We've got snow.
41:03Let me go for a hike.
41:04Yes.
41:05Sounds super.
41:08All right, good.
41:09Ivy Calvin hooted and hollered his way to a victorious $1,800.
41:16Mary Padian was California dreaming, amassing $600 in profit.
41:23Brandy Basante made a beautiful $538.47.
41:30And it was a big swing and a miss for Dusty and Lupe, who were sent back to the miners.
41:39It's our friendship time.
41:42Friendship and snow shoes.
41:44Oh, my God.
41:45You bitch.
41:47Brandy.
41:48These snow shoes are working pretty well.
41:50They work like a chump.
41:51You guys are doing great.
41:52Yeah.
41:53Look at us.
41:53We didn't even fall.
41:55I know.
41:59Whoa.
41:59Whoa.
42:01Whoa.
42:01Let me help you get out of here.
42:03Oh, thank you.
42:05Whoa.
42:06Ha ha.
42:07Whoa.
42:09Yeah.
42:10Oh.
42:10Nope.
42:11Whoa.
42:12That's why we need snow shoes.
42:14All right, snow angels.
42:15Let's go.
42:18This is why I miss California.
42:19Definitely no way to make snow angels in Texas.
42:23Ha ha ha!
42:25Ha ha ha ha!
42:25It's bad.
42:26Damn!
42:27Damn!
42:29Damn!
42:30Damn!
