00:04Riverside!
00:06We've river fried.
00:08It's 103 degrees, that's not bad.
00:11Today's going to be a scorcher.
00:12We need to stay cool, so our buyers will stay cool,
00:15so they'll spend lots of money.
00:16I wore my cool shirt, you know, kind of see-through,
00:19just a little, just so I can block the sun.
00:22You can wear shorts.
00:23You look in shorts?
00:24Sure.
00:25You got strong little legs, like a little strong chicky.
00:30But chicken legs are not a good thing.
00:34You just want to just bite them.
00:36You know, that's all I want.
00:37They're tasty.
00:39You kidding?
00:40Yeah, that's right.
00:41That's right.
00:42That's right.
00:43Raisin just right.
00:48When storage units are abandoned,
00:52the treasures within
00:55are put up for auction.
00:57I think I scored on this.
00:58Start it away.
00:59400.
01:00Whoa.
01:01Ha, ha, ha.
01:02Not the only one.
01:04M-O-N-E-Y.
01:05Are you ready?
01:06Yeah!
01:10Wow, you could fry an egg on the hoe to my car right now.
01:13There is presently a heat advisory in Southern California.
01:16However, today's auction is in Riverside.
01:19So I feel like I'll go to the auction,
01:22I'll buy a little easy locker,
01:24and then my ass is going straight to the river
01:26and launching my tube.
01:28Can't wait.
01:30When you've got to work on a super hot day,
01:32it always helps to have something to look forward to.
01:34I haven't actually been able to locate the river on the map,
01:37but you know,
01:38sometimes the locals want to keep these things a secret.
01:44Me and my road dog, Violet,
01:46we're on our way.
01:47Beautiful Riverside,
01:48where there is no river.
01:50It could be 105 degrees,
01:52which really doesn't bother me.
01:54I don't care how hot it is.
01:55It could be 200 degrees.
01:57I don't care what the weather's like.
01:59I'm gonna go,
02:00I'm gonna buy something and make some money.
02:01I'm like the mailman.
02:03A little weather ain't gonna stop me.
02:06Uh-oh, somebody fell.
02:09Is that you?
02:10Come on, get up there.
02:12Oh my gosh, baby.
02:14Hey, you all right?
02:18Hello?
02:19Hey.
02:20Hey, guess what?
02:22What?
02:22I just finished the Roman Lake Elsinore,
02:25and there is a lot of cool old stuff.
02:27Like what old stuff?
02:29Just vintage clothes and toys
02:31and you're gonna love checking it out.
02:33They're having an auction at that place,
02:36airport, that we like in Riverside.
02:39In Riverside?
02:40I need you to come keep me under control.
02:42I don't know.
02:42I kind of already bought a lot.
02:44I don't think you have to ask me twice about that.
02:46I was actually gonna invite myself.
02:51Not only is Lupe good at keeping me in check,
02:53she's also my good luck charm.
02:55You can't have too much fun without me.
03:01Whew.
03:02I had a hell of a chaotic morning.
03:04Boyfriend lost his keys, left his phone at the bank.
03:08I had to drive him to his mom's to get his other truck.
03:11Had to take my daughter to school.
03:13It's just, it's been a rough one.
03:15So I'm gonna go out to Riverside and sweat,
03:18just so I can go to that restaurant that Barry took me to
03:20that has the fantastic martinis,
03:22because I could use a drink and a good steak.
03:25Never thought I'd be saying that I need to go to Riverside
03:28to get some me time, but here I am.
03:32Just zone out, have a better day.
03:41Wow.
03:45Somebody around here has gotta know where the water is.
03:47Hey, I'll share my tube.
03:51You do know it's an airport, not a swimming pool.
03:54You know we're in Riverside.
03:55There's no pools here.
03:56There's no lakes, rivers, pools, ocean.
03:58Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
03:58Hang on.
03:59There's no rivers?
04:00What do you mean?
04:01So wait, you thought you were going swimming?
04:04Yes.
04:04Are you kidding?
04:05I would not be here if it wasn't in Riverside.
04:07But we're by the airport.
04:08Huh?
04:08By the airport.
04:10Yeah, this is an airport.
04:10This isn't Oceanside storage.
04:12This is airport storage.
04:14Wait, there's a river.
04:15It's called Riverside.
04:16It's a sandy, dried up river.
04:18Yeah, it's full of rocks and sticks and a little bit of tiny stream of water.
04:22It's too hot for there to not be a rimmer.
04:25This heat is making people crazy already.
04:28Look at this.
04:29Do you know where the river is?
04:30Well, we need to make this auction quick then.
04:35All right, welcome to the auction.
04:37And before you go through these gates, you need to know the rules.
04:39Going to go to the unit, remove the lock, and give you five minutes to take a look around.
04:42You can't go inside the unit.
04:43You can't open any boxes.
04:45And who's ever got the most money in their pocket can own it today.
04:47Are you ready?
04:48Yeah!
04:49Hooray!
04:49Let's go, let's go, let's go!
04:50All right, folks, this way, let's go!
04:53Right this way.
04:54Here we go.
04:55Follow us.
04:58I'm so glad it's in the shade.
05:00All right, here we go!
05:03Oh, yes.
05:05This is a 10 by 10, folks.
05:07Packed stacked and all that.
05:09There's some stuff to do.
05:11There's a lot of stuff.
05:13Holidays decor, there's crafts.
05:16I mean, I see just stuff that we could sell.
05:18A lot of basic stuff.
05:19Yeah.
05:19Careful.
05:20Don't talk too loud.
05:21We have a shark close by.
05:22Shark, shark.
05:24Well, you never know.
05:25I see boxes, handicapped stuff.
05:28Unfortunately, I've had to use all this stuff at one time.
05:30I'm interested in it for the right price.
05:32This shark is getting ready to feed.
05:35Mm-hmm.
05:36Mm-hmm.
05:36Mm-hmm.
05:37There's a lot of in here.
05:38A lot of housewares.
05:40Just seems like a lot to clean out in this heat.
05:43If it goes for cheap, I might take a stab at it.
05:46It's a lot.
05:47It's kind of chaotic.
05:48But I spy a vintage-y scarf.
05:51That could be a sign of something else.
05:54I don't know.
05:55It's a lot.
05:56I was hoping for something light and easy.
05:59All right.
05:59You know where I'm going to put it?
06:00Do you want me to pop that?
06:00No.
06:01I'm deciding to stick it under there right now.
06:02That's bringing me down.
06:04A little sweat water.
06:05Ew.
06:05A little sweat water.
06:06I've been to that town.
06:07Here we go.
06:07How much money?
06:07What's your place?
06:08Where are you going to pay?
06:0850 bucks.
06:09How much?
06:1050.
06:1175 where?
06:11Okay.
06:11I got 50 dollars here.
06:12100.
06:13100.
06:1450.
06:14175.
06:15Yeah.
06:16175 to 2.
06:16What about 2?
06:172.
06:182.
06:18Where?
06:18275 there.
06:191 to 3.
06:20Sure.
06:2125.
06:213.
06:2225 now.
06:221 to 3.
06:2325.
06:24Yeah.
06:25Yeah.
06:26Yeah.
06:26Yeah.
06:27We gotta keep going.
06:30Yeah.
06:30500 there.
06:30525.
06:31I've got 500 going 1.
06:33Yeah.
06:33550 now.
06:34Yep.
06:35550 there.
06:3575 now.
06:37650 going 1.
06:41Yeah.
06:42I got 650.
06:43675 going once.
06:44675 and a half.
06:46Go this way.
06:47You got a game.
06:47650 dollars.
06:48Yep.
06:49Got it.
06:51Now I know why it's initials.
06:52DH stands for .
06:54Goat.
06:54Those are my initials.
06:55Goat.
06:57Dusty's initials are really SL.
06:59For sore losers.
07:00It's gonna be a lot of work.
07:02But at least I'll be in the shade.
07:04It'll only be 90 instead of 105.
07:09All right.
07:10Cut this lock off.
07:11Damn it.
07:11We're hot.
07:12Let's go.
07:16Here we go.
07:18All right.
07:19Here we go.
07:2010 by 20.
07:24So we got a beach cruiser.
07:27That's about it.
07:29Pine bed set.
07:29Oh, so you like the bike Dave.
07:31That's it.
07:32That's it.
07:32Okay.
07:32Let me get in here so I can check it out.
07:34Bar stools.
07:35Green lamp.
07:36Yeah.
07:37What else do you like, bud?
07:38Uh, nothing.
07:39You know the only good thing in here?
07:41It's a good day's work.
07:43Okay.
07:44Let's see what we got.
07:45Oh, I know how much you love your vintage luggages.
07:48Yeah.
07:48I mean, there's some home decor.
07:50Okay.
07:51So is the furniture worth much?
07:52No, right?
07:53I bet.
07:53No.
07:54My thing's missing pieces.
07:56I mean, if you were to get this one as your advisor, I would say only for cheap.
08:00Is it worth sweating?
08:02No.
08:02Oh.
08:03No worries.
08:04All right.
08:05Let's see.
08:06Okay.
08:07Oh, that is a cool beach cruiser.
08:10Okay.
08:10I like that green glass lamp.
08:12That's kind of neat.
08:13Um, that lamp we had when I was a kid.
08:16That brass lamp.
08:17Old suitcase.
08:20Bin of purses.
08:22Looks kind of easy and there could be some stuff in here.
08:26All right.
08:27Parcels are okay.
08:29Just need a little hug.
08:31Some handbags.
08:33I don't know.
08:34There's some household items.
08:35If it goes for, like, next to nothing, I might look at it.
08:38I don't know.
08:38Maybe.
08:39We'll see.
08:40Stay tuned.
08:43All right.
08:43And if you're ready to go, I'm ready to go.
08:45Here we go.
08:45I'm a $10 by $20 unit.
08:46I can make a couple hundred on the corner.
08:47I'm going to be doing to where?
08:48$10 bucks.
08:49$50 on the corner.
08:49I'm at $10, $10.
08:50$10.
08:50$20.
08:51$20.
08:51$30.
08:52$30.
08:53$40.
08:55$50.
09:03$50.
09:21$60.
09:27$60.
09:27$70.
09:27$70.
09:27$70.
09:27$70.
09:32I was thinking about inviting Lisa to join me for drinks.
09:35Not anymore.
09:38We're good, we're good, we're good, we're good.
09:40Yeah, we're going to talk about this later.
09:42Okay, let's go.
09:44All right, this will be a quick one.
09:46And then get to the booze.
09:48One less thing I have to do when the auction ends,
09:50and I'm this much closer to my ice-cooled martinis.
09:53Um, oh, there's some tiles here.
09:55We'll probably use those, sell them.
09:58It's a good amount.
09:59I don't know, uh, $100 in tiles.
10:02These stools need a little bit of love.
10:05Probably fix those at $40 for the pair.
10:09Ooh.
10:11Look at that.
10:17Ooh, look at that.
10:20Uh, old.
10:22Why are there so many?
10:23Boxful and Daily Planners from 2024.
10:26Can't use those.
10:28Purr.
10:29Purr.
10:30Oh, you.
10:32All right.
10:33It's a nice leather riding vest.
10:35At least $50 for this.
10:37This is in good condition, and it's leather.
10:40Like that.
10:41Hmm.
10:42Let's see.
10:43Except it's wrapped up.
10:47Oh.
10:49That's pretty.
11:00Uh-huh.
11:02Made in Italy.
11:04That's always a good sign.
11:06What do you think that is?
11:09They're pretty.
11:11These are nice.
11:12I don't, I don't exactly know what they are.
11:15I'm gonna probably see if somebody can tell me if these are worth anything, because I really
11:19genuinely think they are.
11:20Take it from a passante.
11:22If it's Italian, it's valuable.
11:25I've got it.
11:26See?
11:26There you go.
11:27Good girl.
11:28All right.
11:29Well, this is actually a little set.
11:31Clean these up.
11:32People love these.
11:34$50 for the set.
11:36Picture frames.
11:38This is kind of cool.
11:39Kitchy, which I always love.
11:42Get 50 bucks for it.
11:44These are little beads, to be honest.
11:47They looked nicer from the door.
11:50Um, the bed frame is actually in decent condition.
11:53It's kind of dated, but I'd probably sell it for $50.
11:58The bike is super cool.
12:00It's just super rusty.
12:01I don't know.
12:02Clean it up.
12:02Probably $40 for the bike.
12:05This is a cool bag.
12:0720.
12:0820.
12:09Nothing.
12:11I see.
12:12Look at that.
12:14Found some more Shaps.
12:16They clearly rode motorcycles.
12:18And it is Shaps, by the way.
12:19I learned that.
12:22These are really in great condition.
12:25100 bucks.
12:30Ooh.
12:33She party.
12:34It's 100% silk.
12:36I would say 100 bucks for this, since it's 100% silk.
12:40These are very unique and interesting to me.
12:43They were made in Italy, so I am going to find somebody to appraise these for me.
12:47And hopefully, I get a little grana extra.
12:56Woo!
12:58Here we go.
12:59All right, folks.
13:00This one is going to be a 5x12.
13:03Change your tunes.
13:04Get your briefcase down and raise your hands.
13:07I actually need a mattress.
13:09Maybe not.
13:10I got a box for you.
13:11We got a mattress.
13:13You get past the mattress, there's a clean little unit.
13:16Some nice, clean, sealed-up boxes.
13:20What's this?
13:21Is that a giant microscope or something?
13:24It looks like a drill.
13:25Power drill.
13:26Okay.
13:27Oh, look at it.
13:27There's stuff in here.
13:28Oh, wow.
13:28This actually doesn't look that bad.
13:30I mean, you got some shoes.
13:31There's mystery boxes.
13:33Yeah, you know, people like mattresses for 50 bucks.
13:36That's an air compressor.
13:37At least when you look in here, there's sellable stuff.
13:39I advise you to grab this one.
13:41You don't like it.
13:42I don't like it?
13:43No.
13:44It's so cute when Lupe tries to intimidate people.
13:48There's some furniture.
13:49There's an air compressor.
13:51It looks like there's some interesting things in the back.
13:54It's a possibility.
13:56Maybe.
13:57All righty.
13:57Nice little unit.
13:58Here we go.
13:58Number 20.
13:59What's your pleasure?
14:00What are you going to be at in this one?
14:01I got 50 there.
14:0275, Matt.
14:03100 there.
14:031 and 1⁄4, 25.
14:041 and 1⁄8.
14:05What are you going to be at?
14:06165, 150 there.
14:072 and 1⁄4.
14:08I got 2 and 1⁄2, 75.
14:1075, what are you going to be at?
14:113 guys, 3 and 1⁄4, Miguel.
14:133 and 1⁄2, here, here.
14:131⁄3, 75.
14:14How about that?
14:15What about that?
14:15What about 4?
14:16400, you're back.
14:16What about 4 and 1⁄4, where?
14:174 and 1⁄4, 4 and 1⁄5.
14:18What about 4, 15, Matt?
14:194 and 1⁄5 there.
14:20Now 5.
14:21What about 5 and 1⁄5, 550?
14:225, 50, and $6.50, Miguel.
14:25I got $6.50, $700, perhaps it'll be $750.
14:30Okay, playtime's over.
14:31What about 8, what about 800 there?
14:33825 going once.
14:358 and 1⁄4 going twice.
14:36Last and final call at $825 tonight.
14:39So that you weigh $800, Justin.
14:41I didn't even know you were bidding.
14:43I am, I'm slick.
14:44You're slick.
14:46With Lupe here to help, this little locker will take no time at all.
14:56All right, you feeling this, babe?
14:58Step on that thing.
15:00There we go.
15:03Take a look.
15:048 by 12.
15:07Folks, we're getting towards the end.
15:09And it's just getting hotter, and the prices are getting higher.
15:13I like that.
15:15It's kind of like a unit I already bought, so I don't know.
15:19But I think I know better than to buy two lockers in this heat.
15:23Okay, there's a lot going on in here.
15:25A lot of boxes.
15:27Some of them closed, some of them open.
15:29A couple sewing machines.
15:31Yeah.
15:32I think this one would be worth going for.
15:35I just hope my sense of profit is better than my sense of water.
15:41You know, I feel like it's a little too hot today to be going through this mess.
15:48So I'm going to let somebody else get it.
15:50It's going to be nice.
15:52There's a lot of gloves.
15:54Oh, wow.
15:55This is a motorcycle ram.
15:57We got exhaust pipes.
15:58They don't look like Harley Davidson.
15:59We like Harley Davidson.
16:01Outdated sewing machines.
16:02I don't think they're worth mine.
16:03I mean, there's a lot of stuff in here, though.
16:05There's a little jewelry case under those fishing boxes.
16:08Well, I mean, if it's cheap.
16:10It looks like a great swap meet load.
16:13We'll see what happens.
16:14You never know.
16:14That's a good one.
16:18They go 8 by 12.
16:19They give me 5, 5.
16:20What have a 500?
16:21I've got 100 right there.
16:22And 200 right where?
16:23And I got 1, not 2.
16:24What have a 2, 2, 2, 2, 2.
16:25What have a 2 now?
16:253.
16:26200 now, 3.
16:273 now, 4.
16:28400.
16:29400, 500.
16:31500, 600.
16:33600, 7.
16:346, 7, 7 to you.
16:36Wow.
16:36You know, the heat's bad when Danny can barely call an auction anymore.
16:41600, 7, 7, 8.
16:42800 there.
16:43900 now.
16:44800, 9, 9.
16:45Where?
16:46900 now.
16:47800 now, 9, 8 and a half.
16:48Would have been 850.
16:49Go on once, twice.
16:50Would have been 850 bucks.
16:52Sold it.
16:53You really did.
16:53I did it.
16:54You got it, Lisa.
16:56Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo.
17:00Well, I found my river.
17:01It'll either be a river of profit or a river of trash.
17:06Riverside.
17:07Rivertime.
17:08Let's see.
17:08Where's the flotation device?
17:09There you go, baby.
17:10Folks, that's the action.
17:12And don't forget to pay the lady.
17:13Thank you, everyone.
17:14It's mine.
17:17That'll float.
17:19That'll float.
17:20You know what?
17:20Making some money will float my boat.
17:29All right.
17:30Are you ready to see if airport brings us our normal luck?
17:32I hope it does.
17:33Lupe helped me pick out a locker today.
17:36It better not suck.
17:38Just watch.
17:40I mean, look at it.
17:42The compressor's 50 bucks.
17:45This is what I saw.
17:46I mean, everybody loves a fishing pole, but that's 10 bucks.
17:50Okay.
17:51Actually, you know, the mattress looks pretty clean.
17:54It's wrapped up, at least.
17:55I mean, there is a market for used mattresses.
17:59Push.
18:00There you go.
18:01It doesn't have any stains.
18:02They wrapped it in plastic.
18:03It's not dirty.
18:05Honestly, we could get 50 bucks.
18:08Look, super soaker.
18:10Ooh, I grabbed this.
18:11What's this?
18:12Well, don't you see more?
18:12There's more hiding.
18:14Oh, man.
18:15Wait.
18:15Break it.
18:16You know, vintage super soaker's worth money now.
18:19It all goes together.
18:22Hold on.
18:22Let's get the other one.
18:23I think we have a collection.
18:25Did you have one of these as a kid?
18:27It looks like you got excited.
18:29I have dark memories for super soaker.
18:30Why?
18:31The reason why I'm 40% deaf in my right ear is because one of the neighborhood kids blew
18:36out my eardrum as a child with one of these.
18:38I fell, and he stuck his foot on my neck and stuck it in my ear.
18:42Oh, no.
18:43That's a sad memory.
18:44Now maybe I could turn a bad super soaker memory into a good one.
18:48There's more, though.
18:48We need to move more stuff.
18:49Let's build the super soaker collection.
18:52For a TV dresser.
18:54I think this is just your standard.
18:56I mean, it looks clean.
18:5750 bucks.
18:59What do you think that's worth?
19:00Oh, man.
19:01It must have been where they're hiding the chain because it's already been cut open.
19:05Oh, it's full of phones.
19:06The cell phone's the nightstand.
19:07At least it's 50 bucks.
19:10A bunch of Xbox.
19:11Are they in there?
19:12Yes, they're in there.
19:13With the DVDs and the games, there's at least 100 bucks.
19:18Wow, there's super soakers coming out from everywhere.
19:23Man, they're building up a team over here.
19:25Jeez.
19:27Pop her open.
19:28Okay.
19:29Oh.
19:30Oh, controllers.
19:32All right.
19:32We can work with that.
19:34Parts and pieces with the controllers.
19:36I think it's an easy 50 bucks for everything.
19:39Great jersey.
19:40I have a number in mind.
19:42What are you going to say?
19:43Um, everything with the jersey.
19:45Mm-hmm.
19:46I mean, at least 100 bucks.
19:48That's what I'm saying.
19:50Oh.
19:52What's that?
19:53Mortal Kombat.
19:54That's a good one.
19:55That was one of my favorites.
19:56Oh, yeah.
19:57Everybody loves Mortal Kombat.
19:59Oh.
20:00The hat.
20:01The Mortal Kombat.
20:03Oh, can you show me the move?
20:04Is that the time?
20:05It was my move.
20:06Oh, okay.
20:07All right.
20:07Let's get the super...
20:10Let's get the eardrum destroyer.
20:12Actually, if I was playing with you guys, this is the one I would choose.
20:15I bet.
20:16That's the cool...
20:16It just looks fancier.
20:16I mean, that was, like, the most powerful one, I think.
20:19Let's keep digging.
20:22Towels.
20:23Oh, is there any characters?
20:25Nope.
20:27All right.
20:28More kitchen.
20:29Just...
20:29I mean, people love all these little utensils, and you stop me.
20:32No way.
20:40No way.
20:41It says copy money.
20:43Poopers.
20:44Stevie Wonder could see that was fake.
20:45How did you see that?
20:46That looks so real.
20:48Yeah, it's just...
20:48I mean, it is actually relatively clean for the stuff I've seen here in the past, but at least 40
20:55bucks.
20:55You know, a bunch of nickels and dimes add up to a dollar, as we always say.
21:00Those are the last boxes in the locker.
21:02Finish it!
21:03Raiden wins.
21:06Box with small amplifiers, some various household accessories, two boxes of appliances and towels.
21:12Everything right here, $150.
21:16And...
21:16Oh, yeah.
21:17The grand finale.
21:19Yes.
21:19Would you look at this?
21:21Okay.
21:22You have every crazy super soaker you could possibly imagine.
21:27I mean, these are nostalgic.
21:29These are from the 90s.
21:30I think we need to find a certain type of person.
21:35Possibly a professional in aquatic warfare.
21:39Like a middle schooler?
21:41Oh, come on.
21:42I feel like we're on our way to a flawless victory.
21:46Going...
21:52Get over here!
22:05Get over here!
22:06All right.
22:08We're going to get right to work today.
22:10This is not a day for dilly-dallying.
22:13This is the one.
22:14I don't have a river to look forward to when I'm done, so I just need to get through this
22:18and float on home.
22:20Oh, there it is.
22:23Okay.
22:24Oh.
22:25Oh, this is trash, actually.
22:27But wait.
22:28We got some enamel dishes in here.
22:33Oh, my God.
22:33Look at the skillet.
22:34That's great.
22:35There's no brand on them, but...
22:38They're super heavy cast iron enamel.
22:41I'm going to say $75.
22:43I got about 25 boxes of latex gloves.
22:48I'm going to say $125.
22:50This looks like some kind of...
22:52Oh, but dear.
22:53It's heavy.
22:54This looks like some kind of ramp.
22:58Ramp up the fun.
23:00Cool.
23:01$200.
23:03These are some kind of exhaust thing.
23:07A motorcycle, I'm guessing?
23:09$150.
23:11Let's get this out of the way.
23:12Then I'll feel like I've actually made some progress.
23:18Oh, pool time.
23:19Oh, my God.
23:20It's a pool.
23:21Oh, it's not a pool.
23:22It's a pool filter.
23:23Not a pool filter.
23:24It's broken pottery.
23:25Trash.
23:26Today has been all about bait and switch.
23:28I don't like it.
23:29We got, okay, some miscellaneous jewelry.
23:34Let's see what we got.
23:35Anything good?
23:39Earring City.
23:40Woo!
23:41I'm going to say $50.
23:43It's not hot.
23:44It's not hot out here.
23:45Not hot.
23:46Oh, look at all these folding tables, actually.
23:48Card table.
23:50Probably from the 50s.
23:52Oh, it's an old game table.
23:54It's in kind of rough shape, but $10.
23:58Here's another folding table.
24:00$25.
24:02That's just a bunch of Christmas stuff.
24:05$40.
24:07All right.
24:08Now, these look like something that Lisa might like.
24:12What do we got?
24:14Oh, that's hot.
24:16Okay.
24:17Looks like this is the same type of chair.
24:19Ah!
24:20Oh, I did it.
24:22Oh, it's so pretty.
24:24Look at that old fabric.
24:26I definitely don't want to sit on it,
24:28because I think it might break,
24:29even though I'm teensy-tinesy.
24:32She did it.
24:33She did it.
24:34She did it.
24:34She did it.
24:34She did it.
24:35She did it.
24:36But they're beautiful.
24:38These are quite old,
24:40and I'm not sure how old,
24:41so I'm going to find someone
24:42who can help me figure that out.
24:45Oh.
24:49This looks sort of like those
24:50cool antique-y folding chairs.
24:53This is cool.
24:57So, you know what?
25:00Rather than stand out here
25:02in the scorching heat
25:03trying to figure this out,
25:05I'm going to have whoever I find
25:07tell me the value
25:08also tell me how this functions.
25:10Is a chair still a chair
25:12if no one can sit in it?
25:14I think I need some water.
25:18Another $40 of Christmas,
25:21and we're good.
25:25I feel fresh as a daisy.
25:28Now, I'm just going to go see
25:29if I can't find
25:32a giant jug of water to drink,
25:35and then I'm just going to sit on my bed
25:37in front of the air conditioning
25:38and pet my cats.
25:51Randy.
25:52Hi, Brandy.
25:53It's Randy with a B.
25:53How are you?
25:54I'm good.
25:55Good to see you.
25:55So nice to see you.
25:57I can't wait to see what you're bringing.
25:59My marble Italian bowls
26:01looked pretty old,
26:02so I came to see
26:03my favorite antiques expert,
26:05Randy Assata
26:06at Prosper on the Brea.
26:09Well, that's quite beautiful.
26:11This one looks like
26:12it takes some bird applique.
26:16Oh, if there's a broken piece there,
26:18okay.
26:19Well, the bird is a little,
26:21you know,
26:23it's not that great.
26:33Thankfully, at least you have one bird
26:36that's got the full body.
26:38This one is the Venus de Birdo,
26:41I guess you could call it.
26:43What did you call it?
26:44Venus de Birdo.
26:47It's an eloquent way of saying broken.
26:49Yeah.
26:49We have glue, right?
26:51Well, yeah.
26:52We do.
26:53We have glue.
26:54And I'm, you know,
26:55not an expert on the head,
26:57but...
26:58Well, there goes your social life.
27:00No.
27:02Okay.
27:03So, in general,
27:05what you've got
27:05are three decorative
27:08alabaster carved
27:09interior decoration pieces.
27:12This is a pseudo bird bath.
27:14These were made
27:15in miniature form
27:17as decorative art.
27:18These are very beautifully carved.
27:21Carving in stone
27:22started at the birth
27:23birth of civilization,
27:24but really carving in what you've got,
27:27which is alabaster,
27:28started in Roman times,
27:30and it was chosen
27:32because it's a soft stone.
27:34Okay.
27:35So, it's not marble.
27:36Marble is much harder.
27:38Things are symbolic.
27:40Birds are usually symbolic of peace.
27:42These are doves.
27:43The problem here is that you're supposed to have four birds.
27:47You only have one and a half.
27:50This one,
27:51let's look at this one.
27:52These two have a sort of a kinship going on.
27:55They might not have even been made at the same time,
27:58but the leaves represent fertility and growth.
28:03And then you have,
28:05on the bottom here,
28:06you have a dolphin base.
28:09Where is there a dolphin?
28:10These are dolphins.
28:11There's a fish here.
28:12Oh, shit.
28:13And a fish here.
28:14I see.
28:14Okay.
28:15And it's marked Italy.
28:17Oh.
28:17So this,
28:18it looks like a signature,
28:18but it's not.
28:19I didn't even look at the bottom.
28:19Which helps you to date it.
28:21Okay.
28:21Let's take a look at this one.
28:23Yeah.
28:23See.
28:24So this one is.
28:26Oh,
28:26I did see this.
28:27Made in Italy,
28:28which dates this piece to after 1936.
28:31In 1936,
28:32they changed the export laws,
28:34so that if you were exporting out of France or Italy,
28:37you not only could market Italy,
28:39but you have to market made in Italy.
28:42So this one's older.
28:43Now the sordid topic of coin.
28:46We have to determine what these are worth.
28:48Yeah.
28:48Yeah.
28:49Let's do it.
28:49What do we have here?
28:50So this one,
28:51I would value.
28:58$200.
28:59Okay.
29:00Even with the broken,
29:01missing doves,
29:02I could still see that in a shop like mine at $200.
29:05Okay.
29:06This one,
29:07I would say in the $300 range,
29:11not bad,
29:12huh?
29:13And in this one,
29:15I would say you could get.
29:20$375 for that.
29:21Really?
29:22Yeah.
29:22So we add it up.
29:23It's $2.
29:24That's $875?
29:25Yeah.
29:26Yeah.
29:27Wow.
29:27That's exciting.
29:29Yeah.
29:29Bellissima.
29:31Killed it.
29:32Yeah.
29:33I don't give good news to everybody.
29:35Sometimes I have to tell them it's a zonk.
29:37But you like me.
29:38Right.
29:38I love you.
29:39Yeah.
29:39I care about you.
29:40And your boobs look sensational.
29:51Let's see what this toilet room has to offer today.
29:56Hopefully,
29:56I don't have to flush the whole locker.
30:07I was thinking I could sit here.
30:12Then I quit finish the job.
30:16And I'm pondering,
30:17what the heck did I get myself into?
30:19I blame the heat.
30:21Maybe this good locker was all a mirage.
30:23Oh,
30:23look what we got in here.
30:24We've got an old-fashioned VHS cleaner.
30:28This is for cleaning your tapes.
30:30Brand new VHS tapes.
30:32A bunch of 45s.
30:33Let's see what kind of music they listen to.
30:35Tell me why Nat.
30:36Stand by your man.
30:38Bing Crosby.
30:40I'm going to say like $300 worth of 45s in there.
30:43These little 45 boxes.
30:44Every time I get one of these,
30:46everybody wants to buy them.
30:47The box alone is worth like,
30:48and it says DECA on it.
30:50The box alone is worth like 45 bucks.
30:52And then you have more 45s in there.
30:55Queen,
30:55We Will Rock You.
30:56That's a good one.
30:57Fleetwood Mac.
30:58This is good music here.
31:00I'm going to say like 40 bucks in music.
31:06Oh my Lord.
31:07What is this?
31:07Halloween?
31:09That's going to be Halloween.
31:11Yeah.
31:12I'm going to say like 40 bucks on that one.
31:16Uh-oh.
31:17Oh, Mrs. Pac-Man.
31:20And this, is this Mr. Pac-Man?
31:23Namco.
31:25These are going to be like 45 bucks for the clue.
31:29Oh, this is good Christmas stuff here.
31:31I'm going to say 100 bucks here for everything.
31:36More Christmas decorator, Adam.
31:38Christmas.
31:39This is not making me very jolly.
31:42Look at that.
31:43The old shellac wall board.
31:471970.
31:561970.
32:00Damn it.
32:02I'm all right.
32:03Hey, nothing.
32:04I've already been hurt.
32:06Five bucks here.
32:08I know this locker is boring.
32:10We need some adult toys or something.
32:13Pop-up tent, 40 bucks.
32:15Five dollars on the cooler.
32:17So this is all A1 colognes or perfumes.
32:20This is what this is.
32:21There's no battery cologne.
32:23Here's another one out of the box.
32:25One in the box.
32:26Brand new in the box.
32:28Look at that.
32:29It's about 20.
32:31There's $100 worth of colognes in there.
32:34Pitching items, Dolores.
32:36I'm going to say, like, 50 bucks on this pile.
32:40$20 on this big green box of Christmas stuff.
32:43Oh, Christmas.
32:44I don't know about that.
32:46I don't know about that.
32:46Uh-oh, a little Super Bowl shirt.
32:48Let's see what team this was.
32:51Buffalo versus Dallas.
32:53Baby, that's vintage right there.
32:55That's about 100 bucks right there.
33:00And I see, that's what appears to be Christmas, Christmas, Christmas.
33:03And we're going to count these as $20 each.
33:05So I'm going to say 100 here, 100 there, 100 here, 100 there.
33:09And that's going to be about it, guys.
33:12With all this Christmas stuff, you'd think I was in the North Pole.
33:16Instead, I'm sweating my ass off in this dirty locker.
33:18Well, this didn't jingle my bells, but I'll tell you one thing.
33:21I mean, it definitely decked my halls.
33:32Oh, he's here.
33:36What's up, Chris?
33:37Dusty, what's up, guys?
33:39My brother, how's it?
33:40My buddy Chris Crone knows a lot about vintage toys.
33:42So he's coming over to look at these super soakers.
33:45Hopefully they don't super suck.
33:48Check it out, man.
33:49You ready to get soaked?
33:50Whoa, these are awesome.
33:52Yeah, these are amazing.
33:53These are obviously 1990s vintage super soakers that you guys have here.
33:58A little history about super soakers.
34:00They were invented in 1982 by Dr. Lonnie Johnson.
34:03He was a nuclear engineer and NASA scientist.
34:06He invented this in his bathroom.
34:09And yeah, it was originally with like PVC pipe.
34:11And then I think he was even using the bottles from like a soda.
34:15Yeah, like a two liter soda bottle.
34:16And connected it to PVC and then figured out that if you could create pressure in it, you could get
34:22that constant flow.
34:23These came out in like 1992.
34:25Kind of like revolutionized the whole water gun game.
34:29So you've been getting pumped since like 92?
34:33Lots of pumps.
34:34Yeah.
34:35Well, I think we have a good collection of every different model of power.
34:41The whole power chain.
34:42I agree.
34:43Yeah, you have some newer ones here.
34:45You have some older ones.
34:46Yeah, back in the 90s.
34:48I mean, you remember probably playing with these.
34:50Oh, I remember that.
34:52All right.
34:53I'm going to start with this one first, actually, because this is kind of like the original OG one.
34:58And like I said, I kind of remember having this one as a kid.
35:02But this is awesome because it is in the original packaging still.
35:06That one is super awesome.
35:08Look at this monster, huh?
35:10Look at this big boy.
35:12Look at how awesome that is, huh?
35:13Yeah.
35:16So that one's pretty cool, but definitely used.
35:19Look at this gigantic thing.
35:21Gee, sweet boy.
35:22There's a lot going on there.
35:23Look at.
35:24Let me see if I can even like try to see how you would hold that.
35:27No, that's got the super pumper down there.
35:30So that one is super cool.
35:31That was like the cool kid of the neighborhood.
35:33And then this one.
35:34Like a Ghostbusters.
35:36It is kind of Ghostbusters-esque.
35:38Yeah, look at that thing.
35:39Dang, I actually want to like put this on.
35:42I did.
35:43Did you?
35:44Did it fit?
35:45I wonder if I could even put this on.
35:47Let me see if I can put this on.
35:48That was like the, that kid was the neighborhood dominated.
35:51I don't know if I can squeeze this on.
35:51It matches your whole like attire.
35:54How cool is that?
35:56Wow.
35:57See, this one actually has some good pump action to it still.
36:02Oh, look at that.
36:04It's kind of like the one-year-old water.
36:07And then this is kind of a newer one.
36:09This is a Spira, which is, I think these came out in like 2018.
36:14Some of these I believe are battery operated, but this is kind of like the newer tech of Super Soakers.
36:19Wow.
36:19It is new in box.
36:20Obviously not as colorful as the 1990s vibe that we had, but.
36:25Now everything's so monotone.
36:27I know.
36:27You can't beat the packaging.
36:29Well, you know, the big question is, as fun as they are, we always want to know how much.
36:36Right.
36:37All right, guys.
36:38Super awesome finds that you guys have here.
36:40Super iconic.
36:41Great pieces.
36:42Some of them are new still.
36:43If I had to give my overall estimate on everything, I would say just around.
36:53As fun as they are, we always want to know how much.
36:57All right, guys.
36:58Super awesome finds that you guys have here.
37:00Super iconic.
37:02Great pieces.
37:02Some of them are new still.
37:04If I had to give my overall estimate on everything, I would say just around.
37:13$1,200 for everything.
37:14Dang, we got soaked in profit.
37:16Yes.
37:17I bet you feel better about Super Soakers now.
37:20Definitely.
37:21And I figured out how to make peace with a bully.
37:23My buddy.
37:26Very excited.
37:27Oh, yeah.
37:28He was nailing him down first.
37:30All right.
37:30I will.
37:31I will.
37:31Three, two, one.
37:34Oh, I got it.
37:35I got it.
37:35I got it on him.
37:36Oh, I got it here.
37:38I got better.
37:39Three.
37:41Oh, it's all you.
37:43Got it.
37:43I want it at the most.
37:51I want it at the most.
37:53Hello.
37:54Hello.
37:55Who might be in charge here?
37:57Well, he's in charge.
37:58I'm in charge of the Army.
37:59He's in charge of everything else.
38:01Okay, great.
38:01Well, welcome to the Civil War.
38:04Turns out the chairs I found may be from the Civil War era.
38:07So I've come to see reenactors Daryl Rivers and Kenneth Surface on the front lines.
38:12This is General Grant.
38:14How do you do?
38:15The one and only.
38:15It's an honor.
38:16Sam Grant, Galena, Illinois.
38:18Nice to meet you.
38:18Lisa Delaria.
38:19Fantastic.
38:20Welcome.
38:21Los Angeles.
38:21Setting these chairs up was like a puzzle to me.
38:25Well, they'll fit right in here.
38:27So let's get them set up.
38:28All right.
38:28Here we go.
38:29This is considered high comfort in camp, though.
38:32So this is all campaign furniture.
38:34Okay.
38:35And, you know, it's your Civil War era camping equipment.
38:39Okay.
38:40All right.
38:40So what do you mean by campaign?
38:42So when you go on campaign, you know, like a Civil War, you're taking a million men camping.
38:50So when you have a wagon train, when you have officers that have their own horses and wagons
38:56for all of their tents and equipment, you have a lot of campaign furniture sold.
39:02So the fun thing about these ones is you see actual rugs being used to be part of the seat.
39:09Americans were making machined rugs even in the 1840s.
39:13Yeah, like on a boom type of thing.
39:15Yeah, yeah.
39:15So in the back here, that's a very machine-made rug.
39:18It doesn't look too old to me.
39:21It looks 100 years old.
39:23It doesn't look 160 years old to me.
39:24So it might have been replaced.
39:26This is what gets replaced so often with campaign furniture.
39:30I feel really underdressed right now, I'll be honest.
39:34Yeah, as a matter of fact.
39:34I love a costume.
39:35Well.
39:36I want to fit in.
39:38That works.
39:39That fits.
39:40That fits you well.
39:41I feel military.
39:43Yes.
39:43Nobody will notice you now.
39:45No.
39:45It blend right in.
39:47But I feel like these should not be sat upon.
39:50Don't you think?
39:51Well, you could test it.
39:52Do you think I should try?
39:53If anyone should test it, probably me.
39:56Oh, no, no, no.
39:57That's going to rip.
39:59I'll try this one.
40:00I won't put...
40:01I won't bear...
40:01Well, then we'll let the general...
40:02I won't bear all my weight.
40:04I'll let Chief of Staff sit on that one.
40:05Okay.
40:06This should be good.
40:07Great.
40:07Here we are.
40:08Super comfortable.
40:09Yes.
40:10I am seated and I'm ready to find out how much these are worth before I break this chair.
40:16How much...
40:17Oh, that's dusty.
40:18Well, this is probably the latest one.
40:22Got the velvet on the top here.
40:24Great color.
40:25It's got a lot of metal on here.
40:29It's not as simple as the earlier one, so I think this one is a little bit later.
40:33Okay.
40:34I would probably say it would go for $200.
40:36Wow.
40:37Really?
40:38Yeah.
40:38I wasn't expecting that.
40:39You might get a very eager re-enactor that wants to use it or a collector.
40:43Now, this one...
40:43Okay.
40:44I have my doubts about the carpet.
40:46It might have been redone.
40:48Okay.
40:49But it needs a little work, but it's still functional.
40:53Yeah.
40:54I would also say probably $200.
40:57Great.
40:58Yeah.
40:59And then...
41:00Let's look at this one.
41:01I think it would probably go for at least...
41:06It's $200.
41:07Hello.
41:08Yeah.
41:08That's $200 for $600.
41:10Amazing.
41:11I am so glad my profit went north.
41:14They're nice chairs, and the fact that I'm sitting in this one...
41:17Yeah?
41:18...is very impressive, because I thought you never asked.
41:20You were out of uniform.
41:22Yeah.
41:22I think this will complete the picture.
41:25I do love a good stogie, my friend.
41:29Which end?
41:30This way.
41:34Brandy Passante bowled over the competition, carving out a sensational 1,300 stone.
41:41It's bellissima.
41:43It's bellissima.
41:44Dusty and Lupe got super-soaked with $1,000 extra in profit.
41:49Dave Hester saw red and green, unwrapping over $600.
41:56While Lisa DeLarios added a civil $500 to her campaign.
42:13My dearest Augie and Junie, it's been a fortnight since I've set eyes on you.
42:21I sure hope the neighborhood kids are keeping your bellies full.
42:26The great storage war is taking its toll on me.
42:29But this battle-scarred buyer will never surrender.
42:32My enemies have more resources, but I have more gumption.
42:36I will fight on to bid another day.
42:39I can't wait to have you in my lap again.
42:43Your humble and obedient human, Lisa.
42:52You'll be back at registered.
42:52Well, let's go, don't spit.
42:53Thanks to all that, Lisa.
42:53For that, Lisa.
42:53We're next alguien.
42:53We're next Captain!
42:53We're next!
