STUNNING STARLING MURMURATION WITH VID BY SALONI MATHUR Watch this video of a mesmerising murmuration of rosy starlings. Payal Mehta, a wildlife guide and trainer from Mumbai, India, was in Ahmedabad when she noticed this captivating dance in the sky. A huge flock of rosy starlings moved together in a synchronised pattern across the sky. Thousands to over a million birds create, shifting, cloud-like shapes at dusk, primarily observed in Gujarat, India. The birds move as a single, coordinated "living organism" without a leader, often creating complex, twisting shapes in the sky just before sunset. Payal said: “These starlings can be seen doing their evening ritual of elaborate murmuration seemingly unperturbed by the chaos of the city. “This is what they do every day before they settle for the night in their winter home.” ENDs
