THOUSANDS OF STARLINGS CREATE MESMERISING SIGHT IN MURMURATION
WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
Check out the breathtaking moment thousands of starlings swirl through the sky in a stunning murmuration display at sunset.
Steven Lomas, from South Shields, UK, filmed the incredible natural phenomenon at Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The footage shows a flock of starlings moving together as one fluid entity, twisting, turning, and pulsing across the twilight sky in perfect unison.
As the murmuration continues, the flock shifts seamlessly, reacting to one another in split seconds, creating waves and patterns that ripple across the sky.
These coordinated movements are often used by starlings to confuse predators and communicate before settling for the night.
Steven said: “It’s amazing to see how many people come together just to watch this every evening.”
Viewers were left in awe of the natural display in the comments.
One wrote: “Absolutely beautiful and mesmerising to see starling murmurations you can also watch wonderful events like this each evening before your eyes at big waters.”
Another added: “Well I never thought people would come together for this!”
