00:03Exploring these areas, there's always a sense of danger and a sense of excitement and fear.
00:07These contradictions you can find in the human expression in these areas.
00:11You never know what you might find.
00:13You could be disappointed or you could come across gold.
00:17Hi, my name's Ammar and we're in Newcastle in one of my favourite tag houses.
00:21This is an abandoned warehouse where a lot of people come in and express themselves.
00:25I love coming into these kind of spaces to document traces that people have left behind.
00:31Exploring these areas where people aren't around but yet have left so much of themselves.
00:35These are the things I like to take photos of, document and record and use in my work as an
00:41artist.
00:42I've been coming to places like this and exploring these urban areas since as long as I can remember, since
00:48childhood.
00:50You get to know people without having to experience directly their life.
00:54It changes your world view.
00:57My job at Ubisoft is authenticity coordinate or visual identity.
01:00It's my responsibility to make sure that the visual identity of our game is as authentic and as realistic as
01:05possible.
01:06Many developers don't have a chance to come here and the fact that I'm able to document these places and
01:10experiences
01:11and bring them back to the studio gives us a creative edge and executing our work in a much more
01:16realistic
01:17and a much more dynamic way, both for the player and for the game.
01:21I love exploring remnants of areas where people have been and they express themselves through visual language or through subculture.
01:29And I think the division is perfect for that.
01:31It really taps into the people's vision of hope, despair.
01:34You have this society that was on top of the world suddenly crumbled.
01:39And now it's not about killing people or being the best.
01:42It's about helping your people around you and helping society.
01:48Exploring these places of desperation and hope and bringing these themes into our game,
01:52I think, will really touch humans and our players on a much more deeper level.
