00:00The next 12 weeks will be the toughest of your life.
00:04Lord Sugar is on the hunt for the next big thing.
00:07This is an opportunity of a lifetime.
00:11Battling for his backing, some of Britain's brightest prospects.
00:15Come on boys, look at that! Your life depends on it!
00:19And then hit him.
00:19It's a deal worth fighting for.
00:22I can sense a bit of friction, absolutely.
00:24Daniel, is that on you?
00:25No.
00:25I'm just in the class.
00:2720 candidates.
00:29I've never been kicked in the balls by a goat, to be honest with you.
00:3212 tough tasks.
00:34This is a complete and utter joke.
00:37Just jump straight in.
00:39One life-changing opportunity.
00:41You're fired. You're fired.
00:43You've completely messed it up.
00:45You're fired.
00:54Previously on The Apprentice.
00:56The next task is all about gamified fitness.
00:59Come on, you've got it!
01:01Harry's team had a dose of reality.
01:03Are you making this up on the spot?
01:05Yes, he's making it up on the spot.
01:06But earned the top score.
01:08You got a total of 205,000.
01:11On the losing team.
01:13You swapped me because I'm a Yorkshire twang.
01:15A bold move from Lawrence.
01:17That's not the way this process is supposed to work.
01:19The end of the road for Rajan.
01:21You helped build the bloody game.
01:23You're fired.
01:24And for Levi.
01:25Happy days.
01:26Thank you, Royal Sugar.
01:27An extra life.
01:28Whoever's on my team, I'm your next project manager.
01:396am.
01:44Morning.
01:46Good morning.
01:46Lord Sugar would like to meet you at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
01:49Please pack an overnight bag.
01:52The cars will be outside in 30 minutes.
01:55Wake up!
01:56Morning!
01:57Morning!
01:59Ladies!
02:00It's your wake up call.
02:0130 minutes.
02:02Cutty Sark.
02:03Pack your overnight bag.
02:05Morning time!
02:07Oh, you look grumpy today.
02:09What is Cutty Sark?
02:11It's a weird name.
02:12It sounds like...
02:13Japanese or something.
02:15OK.
02:15Wash my pack.
02:16Slippers.
02:17Cheers, man.
02:18Cheers, lad.
02:19Good luck today.
02:29Buzzing your PM.
02:30Cheers, mate.
02:31I'm glad to have an opportunity for it now, lad.
02:33Yeah.
02:33Obviously we had a great win last week, but obviously that's under no illusion that's going
02:36to be the same this week.
02:37There's a lot less people and everyone's going to be fighting for their lives.
02:40I'm just going to do me.
02:42It's got me this far.
02:43Why won't it get Mr Ian?
02:47In Greenwich, South East London, the Cutty Sark.
02:53One of Britain's most celebrated sailing ships.
03:14Good morning.
03:15Good morning, Lord Sugar.
03:17Welcome on board the Cutty Sark.
03:19You are standing on the fastest sail-powered cargo ship ever built.
03:25And sailing plays a major role in the place that I'm sending you to next.
03:32The Isle of Wight.
03:33Do you remember your very first task in this process?
03:38When I sent you to Hong Kong to find nine items and you totally messed it up.
03:45Well, I've decided to give you a chance to redeem yourself.
03:49So you are going to have to source nine items associated with the Isle of Wight and buy them
03:56at the best possible price.
03:57The team that spends the least amount of money to secure the items wins.
04:04You'll finish at the hovercraft that will depart from Wight, whether you're on board or not.
04:10So don't be late.
04:12Now I'm going to mix the teams up a little bit.
04:15Priash and Dan, swap with Lawrence.
04:21Levi, remember, you're the project manager, right?
04:24Happy days.
04:26We'll see how happy it is when you get back.
04:29Don't mess it up this time.
04:32Off you go.
04:36Off the south coast of England, the Isle of Wight.
04:41National centre for sailing and much-loved holiday hotspot.
04:49The Isle of Wight.
04:50Exciting.
04:51Nice little place, isn't it?
04:52It's lovely.
04:53With Levi already leading...
04:55As project manager, I'm going to put my heart and soul into this.
04:58I do not want to be in that bottom three ever again.
05:01First task for the rest...
05:03Guys, I'm going to open it up.
05:04I've got unfinished business with this task.
05:07Pick a project manager.
05:09I would like to put myself forward for PM.
05:11I know what we've got to do in this task.
05:13I've been through it.
05:13I've been the PMing it.
05:14I've got a plan.
05:16I think we've got this in the bag.
05:17Plot twist, I'm also going to go for PM.
05:21Karishma, you and I secured negotiations quite well in Hong Kong.
05:25And I think if we're placed well and we just work efficiently,
05:29I think it's...
05:30It's definitely the team for it.
05:32Kieran has a win in this already.
05:33And obviously you've been a good team leader before.
05:35Either way, we've got great options.
05:37So, guys, should we have a vote?
05:38Yeah.
05:39All in favour of Kieran.
05:40Oh, wow.
05:41OK, well done.
05:42Bravo.
05:42Yeah.
05:44The team all voted for Kieran because he won in Hong Kong.
05:48But from my recollection, they just scraped through that win.
05:51He wants to redeem himself.
05:53So, this is a make or break scenario for him.
05:56Obviously, Levi's PM for the other team.
05:58I'm going to do what Lawrence couldn't and I'm going to get rid of him.
06:02Both teams have maps, local directories and a list of nine items,
06:08including rhubarb and custard.
06:10I suppose rhubarb and custard could be a squeeze
06:11because there's rh...
06:12Have you had those rhubarb and custard sweets?
06:14Yeah.
06:14Now you've said that, Harry.
06:16It does make a lot of water.
06:17Something blue.
06:18The spec, 75cl times 6.
06:2275cl, that's 760 millilitres.
06:24What's usually that size?
06:25A bottle of wine.
06:26And Iguanodon.
06:28Did I read something about fossils?
06:29It could be a fossil from...
06:32I think there's an area that has loads of dinosaurs on the island.
06:35Not now, but there was.
06:38Right.
06:39This one, someone's going to have to help me.
06:41Iguanodon.
06:41And that's an animal, isn't it?
06:43An iguana.
06:43Yeah.
06:45Labouring over the same list...
06:47Could be.
06:48He says locally sourced.
06:48Locally sourced.
06:50So...
06:50Levi's team.
06:51It's like a lizard, isn't it?
06:53Yeah.
06:53I don't know if we'll be getting a real lizard on this one.
06:56No.
06:56Surely.
06:58Next one is moch line wear.
07:01Would that be some sort of...
07:03Clothing.
07:04Isle of Wives.
07:05But then that's how you spell wear.
07:07And then next one, red duster.
07:09One yard.
07:10One yard.
07:11No idea at all.
07:12As in duster, usually I associate with...
07:14Like a feather duster.
07:16Bird nest.
07:17Six made to order.
07:19Erm...
07:19So...
07:20I'm just thinking it says...
07:21Is that what it says?
07:22Bird nest.
07:23I think we'll have to probably pull them up.
07:24I don't think it's just going to be a barrel of sticks.
07:29I think...
07:29Bird nest.
07:31I'm 85% sure this is a bakery item.
07:34I was going to agree on that.
07:35Made to order.
07:36Sounds like it makes sense.
07:38Next up...
07:39Suck.
07:39A stand-up paddle board.
07:41A speck with fins.
07:43So that is definitely a fish.
07:44I've heard of that before.
07:45It sounds quite self-explanatory.
07:48Especially if you've heard of it as a fish before.
07:49I've definitely heard of that before.
07:51Next item.
07:51Black cassette.
07:53Eight speed.
07:54Now, a cassette is the old school.
07:57You know the things you used to put in your radio?
07:59And then you just push it in and you just play it and you have to rewind it all.
08:02We're thinking music stores.
08:04Yeah.
08:06Next one is Madduck White.
08:0830 bulbs.
08:09I'm thinking this could be garlic.
08:11You know you get garlic bulbs?
08:12Yeah.
08:12I think it could be that.
08:14List looked over.
08:15I think we'll find out what things are when we're calling places.
08:19Steering his supporters.
08:21Levi, do you have an idea on the split?
08:23Lorry driver Levi.
08:27One minute.
08:28So, the split.
08:32I'd probably say...
08:36Erm...
08:36In terms of team split, I was thinking of myself and Roffner.
08:41Well, like I say, I'm not a dictator.
08:43I'm open to listen if anybody's got any discrepancies on that.
08:46It is up to you, Levi.
08:49Erm...
08:49Yeah.
08:49Just another thing on negotiation.
08:51Is there a percentage you want us to go in with?
08:55Erm...
08:56Try and see how they feel.
08:58I'm not going to micromanage you.
08:59Or if in doubt, I'm just going to go 50% off price straight away.
09:03And what time do you want us to be leaving to head to the Hovercroft?
09:08Erm...
09:08Obviously, I've got a...
09:10I'll have to leave that up to you.
09:11It depends where you are on Ireland.
09:13I think you should probably give us a time in which you want us to get there.
09:17I trust that you'll make it there on time.
09:20Levi's been given the title of project manager by Lord Sugar himself.
09:24So, you know, he really needs to step up.
09:26But there wasn't really a strategy.
09:27It was, I'll leave that to you.
09:29I believe in you.
09:31Not...
09:31Not really much management there.
09:33Who would like to be sub-team leader out of you?
09:36I'm happy to be sub-team leader.
09:37Perfect.
09:38Yep.
09:38We're happy.
09:39Yep.
09:39Happy days.
09:41I'm going to take Lawrence.
09:42Lawrence has been to the Isle of Wight previously.
09:44Been once before and I'm the expert.
09:46Once more than all of us, so...
09:48Setting out his strategy.
09:50We're going to play the 3-1-2.
09:52Kira.
09:53We're going to offer 30%.
09:54They're going to ask for 10 and we'll meet in the middle at 20.
09:57There can't be any silence in these cards.
09:59It has to be phone call, phone call, phone call.
10:00You want people reserving.
10:02You basically want to rock up at the shop.
10:03They've got it there.
10:04You agree the price you walk out.
10:05In terms of route, we're going to head around the side of the island.
10:08You guys head out to Newport and then work your way to ride.
10:12Head there, early doors, get everything, get the deals done and be on time.
10:17I've had the very rare opportunity to have a second chance at this task.
10:20I know it's all about getting the most items, not always about the best price.
10:25Get in, get out, move on.
10:27If they stick to that, we can't lose.
10:29Your list is Iguanodon, Rhubarb and Custard, Maddox White and the Black Cassette.
10:34Yeah.
10:34Correct.
10:34Right, let's do this.
10:36Let's do this.
10:37Cool, cool, cool.
10:37Pasha's team is going to go down to that sand down area.
10:40Me and Rothner will start looking round here, get some phone calls, mate.
10:43Well, yeah, let's go and smash it, team.
10:44We've got it.
10:45That's good.
10:489am.
10:49I don't know if you happen to know what an Iguanodon is, if you have that in store.
10:54Iguanodon?
10:55Isn't that a dinosaur?
10:57Brilliant.
10:58Teams have eight hours to find their items.
11:00We're looking for a fish called a sup.
11:03Would you have one?
11:06I don't mate, you know.
11:08And buy them for the best possible price.
11:10What is sup?
11:12Nothing's up with me mate, what's up with you?
11:14No.
11:16With most of their items still unknown...
11:19I think bird's nest is probably the priority because obviously it says made to order and
11:23that could potentially take time.
11:25Levi and Rothner look for leads.
11:28Hello, Freshwater Pet Store, Mark speaking.
11:30I'm asking about a bird's nest made to order.
11:34Is that something you know?
11:35No, we wouldn't do that.
11:37Hi there.
11:37I'm looking for bird's nest made to order.
11:41Do you know what they are at all, please?
11:43I don't know.
11:44That's not something I'm familiar with, I'm afraid.
11:47Morning.
11:47I'm needing some help finding bird's nest, six-metre order.
11:52Is that something you know of or...?
11:54No, it's not something we didn't sign.
11:57I don't even know where you'd get it from.
11:58No, me neither, that's why we were going for the call.
12:02Flipping heck.
12:05Sent by Kieran to search the island's bakeries...
12:09We actually wanted to find out about bird's nest.
12:11It's an Isle White donut, yeah.
12:12For the other team, treats tracked down.
12:15How much is it like if you wanted to get a sit?
12:17Best I could probably do is 860.
12:197.50?
12:21No.
12:227.50 come on now, David.
12:237.55.
12:247.55?
12:24Yep.
12:25OK, amazing.
12:26Donut deal done.
12:27How long do you think it will take to make...?
12:29It's about two to three hours.
12:30Karishma cooks up a plan.
12:33Mmm, did I ask you a question?
12:34Is this an independent shop or do you have branches?
12:36We do have other branches, yes.
12:38Do you have any branches in Ride?
12:40Yes.
12:40Oh, that's amazing.
12:42A great idea has popped into my head.
12:43Since we're on our way to Ride,
12:45could we pick them up from your branch and ride?
12:47Yeah, sure.
12:48Awesome.
12:48Yeah.
12:48That sounds great.
12:50OK, thank you.
12:52I have no concerns about the negotiation.
12:53It was quick, it was speedy, it was effective,
12:55and I did a very resourceful thing.
12:57I got them ordered straight to our finishing destination,
12:59which means we picked them up on the way
13:01and we go straight to the hovercraft.
13:02I couldn't actually have been any smoother.
13:05I love that.
13:06Great work.
13:06We are off to a window, sir.
13:08Yeah.
13:08Chef's kiss.
13:10That's the energy we need.
13:12In the seaside town of Shanklin.
13:14Jurassic Gym.
13:16It's there.
13:16Beautiful.
13:17Planning to test out Kieran's time-saving tactics.
13:20Remember, 30, 10, 20, yeah?
13:22PR man Lawrence digs for a deal.
13:25We are looking for Iguanodon.
13:27Iguanodon.
13:28Iguanodon.
13:29That's the one.
13:29You're the man, you know what you're talking about.
13:31How much is it?
13:33This one is 17 pounds.
13:35I really like that.
13:36So what is it?
13:36It's a piece of dinosaur from the island.
13:38One of the most famous dinosaurs there is.
13:40We do need to save as much money today as we possibly can.
13:43Okay, yeah.
13:44So could we possibly do 11.50?
13:4815 pounds?
13:49If you can do 12, I'd be a very, very, very happy man.
13:54I'll tell you what, as it's you.
13:56Oh, absolutely fantastic.
13:59Lawrence stuck to the project manager's guidance of keeping it around 30% and they shook really
14:04quickly on almost the second deal that was offered.
14:07I really think they could have pushed them harder.
14:09We are killing this man.
14:11This is why you're on this team.
14:14I've just got a couple of questions.
14:16I know you might not have an idea, Ron, but we're just struggling.
14:18Across the island.
14:20Do you know what a mateward bird's nest is, please?
14:23No.
14:24Do you know what a morch line where is?
14:26No.
14:26And do you know what a red duster is?
14:28No.
14:29With Levi and Rothner still on the road to nowhere.
14:32No, he's...
14:38We're actually after 30 bulbs of Maddox white.
14:42Sent to sniff out a deal on gourmet garlic.
14:44So they're 170 each, so 51 pounds.
14:48The rest of Levi's team.
14:50Would it be possible to pick up the garlic from the field to get a better price?
14:55Oh, what, you mean they take it out of the field?
14:58I mean, if you don't mind going out on the farm in your beautiful outfit.
15:02Getting a bit muddy.
15:04If we were to do it ourselves, we were looking at around 36 pounds.
15:08Okay.
15:08You better get out there and change your shoes.
15:10Perfect.
15:10Thank you so much.
15:12So this is where the garlic crop is.
15:14Oh, wow.
15:15How wonderful.
15:16Definitely not in the fire.
15:18Right.
15:18That's one.
15:20Daniel, faster.
15:21Three.
15:22Oh, wow.
15:23They're coming up quite nice with the proper garlic.
15:26Ooh, lovely.
15:27Coming out of the negotiation, I think I did fairly well.
15:29I don't mind getting my hands dirty.
15:31That means getting a good deal.
15:32And that's what it takes to win this task.
15:34There you go.
15:3536 pounds.
15:37Amazing.
15:38Perfect.
15:38First item done.
15:4050p off a bulb.
15:41So, yeah, we've done a great job.
15:4411am.
15:45Do you by any chance have, is it more clean wear or more clean wear?
15:50You're referring to more clean wear.
15:52More clean wear.
15:54Amazing.
15:54For Levi and Rothner, first item finally found.
15:58Well, we have some related to the Isle of Wight in the shop.
16:02That is exactly what we need.
16:03Thank you so much.
16:05Bye.
16:06Yes.
16:07So good.
16:08Also, reeling in a clue.
16:10Do you sell a sup?
16:12No, we don't.
16:13And what is a sup?
16:14Karishma.
16:15It's a fish?
16:15It's a stand-up paddleboard.
16:17Oh.
16:18How sure is Kieran that a sup is a fish?
16:21Should I bring up one of these boat shops and cows?
16:23Yeah, yeah.
16:26Hi there.
16:26Yes, we're just looking to buy a sup.
16:29Yes.
16:29We've got one left in stock and it's actually on display.
16:33Oh, that's amazing.
16:34Thank you so much.
16:35We'd love to reserve that if that's okay.
16:36Yeah, great.
16:38Very, very promising call.
16:40Well done, Harry.
16:43In land.
16:44I'm happy to leave this.
16:46Making her move on Moklin wear.
16:48Those are all Isle of Wight scenes.
16:51They're all £15 each.
16:53Aspiring baker Rothner tries to whip up a deal.
16:58Could you do one of these for me for £7.50?
17:02I'm afraid I can't.
17:04I could give you 10% off which would be £13.50.
17:08Let me be a little bit cheeky here then.
17:11£11.50.
17:11You can buy it but you can't steal it.
17:14Come on.
17:14£12 and that's it.
17:15£12 is your last.
17:17You know it.
17:18£11.50.
17:18£50.
17:19Come on.
17:20That's less than I paid for it.
17:22Okay, fine.
17:23£11.75 and a shake on it.
17:24Come on.
17:2525p each.
17:25I get a bit of 25p to save.
17:27You gain 25p.
17:28Come on.
17:29No, sorry.
17:30No.
17:30Dave, you're stubborn as me.
17:32Yeah, I am.
17:35I have got £12 in my mind.
17:37This has been my lowest price and that's what I'm going to stick to.
17:41Ah, I feel we'll have to shake on that then.
17:43Okay.
17:44Yep.
17:45They spent about 10 minutes haggling over 25p.
17:49I know in the scheme of things it's important to them but it's much more important that they
17:54get all of their items, not just an extra 25p discount.
17:58Do you know, by any chance, where we could find a black cassette eight-speed?
18:04Any idea?
18:05You will need a cycle shop.
18:07A cycle shop.
18:08Oh, amazing.
18:09An eight-speed cassette is the cogs that go on the back.
18:11Yes.
18:12Oh, Dave, you're the man.
18:14Oh, Dave.
18:14You're the man.
18:16Five miles away.
18:18Hello.
18:18How are you doing?
18:19Hey.
18:19Lovely to meet you.
18:20Hi.
18:21Harry, lovely to meet you.
18:22Seeking to secure a stand-up paddle board.
18:24We're dead on the phone.
18:25We're looking to buy a SUP.
18:27Oh, wow.
18:27It's up there.
18:28It's 399.
18:30Finance man Harry.
18:32What's the sort of best price that we could get to on that?
18:35Best price would be 331.
18:38I do appreciate that it is on the show.
18:41We're on quite a tight budget.
18:43Yeah.
18:43Is there any way we can meet at 300?
18:46I'm sure that we can come to some arrangement, yeah.
18:49OK.
18:50Do you want to get that down?
18:51Yes, please.
18:52OK.
18:54So, I've just noticed it.
18:56It's very dusty.
18:58Yes.
18:58The price includes the dust.
19:01Is there any way, because we're going to have to clean it,
19:04is there any way we can get an extra £15 off?
19:07I don't think we could go that far.
19:09What about...
19:09Can we meet in the middle of ten?
19:11So, that would be like 290, you're saying?
19:13Yeah, 290.
19:15OK.
19:15290.
19:16Appreciate it, yeah.
19:18I don't know if that was like the cheapest that we could have found in the whole area.
19:21Like, we went to one shop, negotiated one deal, shook hands and then just left with it.
19:26Could we have got a better price?
19:28Maybe.
19:29Paddle board picked up.
19:31And by any chance do you have a red duster?
19:33Yes.
19:34We've got them just over there.
19:34You see above your head, and that's what they call a red duster.
19:37Right.
19:38For Connor, a bonus buy.
19:40Could we bring it down to £12?
19:43We can do that.
19:44Perfect.
19:45Thank you so much.
19:46Brilliant.
19:46Three items ticked off, five hours still to go.
19:50All right, let's get this out.
19:54Lunchtime.
19:55Mate, go in.
19:56You can do the hellos.
19:57I'll do the numbers.
19:58Get out.
19:59Ace out.
19:59For the rest of the team.
20:01So here you go.
20:0230 Maddox White for you.
20:04Hoping to speed through their second deal of the day.
20:07So those are 170 per bulb.
20:09Goodness.
20:10That would be £51 total.
20:12Kieran turns on the charm.
20:15So £35, all in.
20:18That would be too much of a discount.
20:20There is a first for everything, right?
20:23Well, I could squeeze a 10 per cent.
20:32But we can squeeze a little bit more.
20:3515.
20:36And you can have your basket back as well.
20:39The basket not included.
20:44Come on, 15.
20:46Look at his face.
20:47Make his day.
20:48I'll give you the 15 per cent.
20:49Thank you so much.
20:51Deal done.
20:51At £7 more than the other team.
20:55I could have got 20 per cent.
20:57She would have gone.
20:58But I just physically haven't got the time.
21:00I said in the brainstorm this morning.
21:02Get in, get out.
21:03I'm sticking to my guns today.
21:04And I'm leading by example for my team.
21:07See you later.
21:08Bye.
21:09Mate, we're an actual dream team.
21:13I'm looking for birds nests.
21:16Is that something you can do?
21:18Birds nest donut.
21:19Birds nest donuts.
21:21Is that what they are?
21:22Yeah.
21:23Is that what they are?
21:24Yeah.
21:24Oh, perfect.
21:24While Levi locates a second item.
21:27Driver, can you take us to Grace's Bakery in Newport, please?
21:32Having tracked down the local tipple.
21:34We're here to get six of something blue.
21:38Certainly.
21:38Yes.
21:39What is it by the way?
21:40English sparkling wine.
21:42The rest of his team, led by Pasha.
21:45Now, they're £41.95 per bottle.
21:47They are, yes.
21:49Do you think we could push for near off half price?
21:52No.
21:53I mean, it's a premium product.
21:54Yeah.
21:55We don't have much time.
21:58I notice on the board here that you've got some discounts.
22:01We need six, I guess.
22:02Six?
22:03Something blue is included in that 5% discount.
22:05Unfortunately, we have a very, very tight budget.
22:08Could you do a nice discount for us at maybe 13% for six bottles?
22:13No.
22:14We always manage to sell out of this product every year.
22:17Yeah.
22:18Right.
22:18Is there any pain just because we don't have much time to be hanging around?
22:24I would agree 10%.
22:26That's not something we'd ordinarily contemplate.
22:29But I'm not going to be pushed beyond the tail.
22:30No, no.
22:31OK.
22:31Thanks.
22:31Thank you so much.
22:32Cool.
22:33Part of their negotiation strategy was to tell the woman they were on a tight budget and didn't have much
22:38time.
22:39Well, what does she care about their budget and their time?
22:41I think if they spent more time engaging with her and her product, they would have got a much bigger
22:47discount.
22:49£226.53, please.
22:51Blue bubbles bought.
22:52Buy.
22:53Buy.
22:53Three items left to find.
22:57Newport.
22:58I'd do the six for the £9.60.
23:00Is there any way you could reduce the price for me a little bit?
23:04£7.55.
23:04£7.55.
23:06£7.55.
23:06For Levi and Rothner.
23:07How long do they take to make?
23:08They take about two hours.
23:10OK.
23:10Birds nests bagged for the same price as the others.
23:15That morning was tough to find what it was, but we got there in the end.
23:19But 30 minutes further from the finish line.
23:21We just need to make sure that we get it into our time.
23:24Now, I do want to say to you, it's a bit tight for time.
23:27Yeah, definitely.
23:28Where are we going to now?
23:29We're going to the bicycle shop so we can get the black cassette.
23:32Yeah.
23:35Near Sandown.
23:36I am looking for a black cassette eight-speed.
23:39I wondered if you've got one, you personally own one, or you know where I can get one.
23:44No.
23:45Cassette, still a mystery.
23:46Right, we need to call the other team, figure out where they are, what they've got.
23:51For Kieran, a chance to check in.
23:55Hey, guys.
23:56How are you?
23:57Very well.
23:58My question is, where are you guys now?
23:59Because there's only one place on the island where you can get the something blue.
24:03Where is it?
24:04It's in Sandown.
24:05We're in Sandown.
24:07We'll go there.
24:07Okay, brilliant, okay.
24:08Are you in Ryde?
24:09Yeah.
24:10In Ryde, we've found the...
24:12Moorshield where?
24:14...and the swings.
24:14If you're there, go get them.
24:16Okay.
24:16And that means we can have some more time.
24:18Brilliant, guys.
24:19Just a warning that the boat leaves at 5pm prompt.
24:22Obviously, we're here.
24:23Just don't be late.
24:24All right, speak to you.
24:25All right.
24:25See you guys later.
24:26All right.
24:293pm.
24:29Run, run, run, run!
24:31Already in Ryde and less than a mile from the finish line...
24:34This way, this way.
24:36Oh, sure?
24:36Connor, Karishma and Harry hunt for their pre-booked birds' nests.
24:42Now, so we're looking for...
24:4340.
24:44That's 44.
24:45So could it...
24:46We've walked past it.
24:47Should we look at what the numbers are on the right and then we'll be able to find out?
24:50Is there higher numbers here?
24:53Um...
24:53Is it there?
24:54I think we've gone too far.
24:56Yeah.
24:56Yeah, because it's going up.
24:57So it must be that way.
24:58We've walked past it somehow.
25:01That tattoo piece is 143.
25:03It's on the other side of the road.
25:05143?
25:06Yeah, guys, let's go back.
25:07Do you know where Grace's bakery is?
25:09There is a bakery further down on the left and I don't know if that's the right one.
25:13Okay, well...
25:15Where are we now?
25:17Okay, I'm just going to...
25:1740 something.
25:18That one is 44.
25:19Oh, there it is.
25:20That's Costa.
25:21If that's 44 and we're looking for 40...
25:26Hmm.
25:27Are we on the right street?
25:34At the vineyard...
25:35I'm very excited to try this.
25:37Cheers.
25:38Cheers, sir.
25:39Taking a more relaxed approach.
25:43It's very nice.
25:44That is absolutely wonderful.
25:45Kieran and Lawrence.
25:47That went down very, very easily.
25:50So what does this normally retail for?
25:53£41.95 if you buy it from here.
25:56I was wondering if, to start off, we could look at around the £27.50 mark.
26:03That's quite a substantial discount.
26:06It is.
26:06It is a little bit.
26:08£35 a bar.
26:12Again, I do struggle to see what it is we're getting out of this arrangement.
26:17We would love to offer something in return if there is something we can do.
26:20Feed the goats.
26:23Erm...
26:24That's a joy.
26:25People love to do that.
26:26For 30, we will literally do anything.
26:29Ah, you could muck out the goats.
26:31If you do £30 a bottle, I'll muck out the goats.
26:33And I will even do it in this cream suit.
26:35You can't be serious.
26:36I will go in there now and start cleaning.
26:38I genuinely don't know what to say.
26:40Yes.
26:40OK, fine.
26:4130 a bottle.
26:4230 a bottle.
26:43Right, come on.
26:45I wasn't expecting Lawrence to come out with a clear the goats out.
26:50But do you know what?
26:50I'll pull my sleeves up and get stuck into anything.
26:53I hate goats.
26:54I need to do the most bang-up job for you you've ever seen.
26:57For 30 quid a bottle, it had better be perfect.
27:03On the other half of the team...
27:05Oh, it's there!
27:06I see it!
27:07Let's go!
27:08...bakery finally found...
27:10We have come here to pick up our six...
27:13erm, Joe Nuts.
27:15She can't do breath fast.
27:16We run all the way here.
27:18...karishma goes for broke.
27:21Thank you so much.
27:22Erm, and I know we discussed £7.55,
27:25but for all of our hard work,
27:26and I did just run from pretty much Newport,
27:28could we get them for £7?
27:31Yep.
27:32Oh, and what about £6.50?
27:34Oh, now you're...
27:35No, no, no, no.
27:36OK, £7?
27:37You're my best friend now.
27:39Thank you so much.
27:41So, just while we're here, we're also looking for antique.
27:43Top of the high street.
27:45Top of the high street.
27:46Brilliant.
27:46Let's go, thank you guys!
27:48Bye-bye.
27:48Thank you so much.
27:51Ten miles from the finish line...
27:53I'd give it to you for £19.99.
27:55£9?
27:56£10.99 is yours.
27:57£9.99.
27:58Up here?
27:59Done.
28:00...cassette in the can...
28:01I'm just thinking of time.
28:02Get them donuts and get back.
28:04...taking a detour to pick up their pastries,
28:07Levi and Rothner.
28:09Driver, could we please go back to...
28:12...Gracie's Bakery in Newport, please?
28:14That is quite a while away.
28:16Yeah.
28:16We cannot be late and if there's anything I learnt from Hong Kong,
28:19we're not being late.
28:20Yeah, I'm happy with that, yeah.
28:21Yep.
28:21OK.
28:23Across the island...
28:25That's the iguana don bone.
28:27I could probably do it for £13.50.
28:30While Dan gets down to business...
28:32We were looking more around the £10 mark, would really help us out.
28:35£10.50.
28:36You know what?
28:37I'll shake your hand on £10.50.
28:38OK, brilliant.
28:38Thank you very much.
28:41Sit.
28:42Oh, no, they're not dogs.
28:44Still frolicking on the farm...
28:48I've never been kicked in the balls by a goat, to be honest with you.
28:51Kieran and Lawrence.
28:53Give me that.
28:54I'm getting in.
28:55Right.
28:55You do it, mate.
28:56Go on.
28:58Oh!
28:59Yeah, I'm in.
29:00It stinks.
29:05They're not looking happy.
29:08That nearly went on me.
29:11You do your bit.
29:12I've done all of mine.
29:13I've done the worst part.
29:14There's only one of you doing any work here.
29:16Yeah, it's been like that all day, mate.
29:20Kieran had the strategy of get in and get out really quickly
29:23because time was the focus.
29:24But they spent nearly an hour in the vineyard.
29:27They weren't messing around with goats.
29:28Were they?
29:28And making the lady laugh.
29:29Yeah.
29:29They could have used their time more effectively.
29:32And that's down to Kieran.
29:33Now we've delivered a service.
29:35Could we do exactly £150 on the nose, which makes a £25 bottle?
29:40Do you know what?
29:40That was such a good giggle.
29:43Yes.
29:43Yeah!
29:44Thank you so much.
29:45Thank you so much.
29:46Bubbly Bought.
29:47For £76 less than the other team.
29:50Go!
29:52Don't drop them!
29:564pm.
29:56Let's go, let's go.
29:58Teams have one hour left to tick off their list.
30:01David!
30:02Oh, amazing.
30:03You're a star.
30:04You have to rush.
30:05Thank you so much.
30:06Sorry.
30:06I'm sorry.
30:08For any missing or incorrect items.
30:10Antique, I'll see you.
30:11But fine.
30:12You got a call from one of our colleagues earlier, talking about muslinware.
30:16Moklin.
30:16Moklinware, sorry.
30:18What is the sort of best price you could do for us?
30:21What about £30?
30:22Yeah, we'd love to buy that if that's OK for 30.
30:24That's perfect.
30:26Hi there.
30:27We are looking for a SUP.
30:29Do you guys have any?
30:31We do, yeah.
30:32You call us just in time.
30:33We're literally just packing up.
30:34Well look, we will head straight over.
30:36Yeah.
30:37I am wondering, do you have two kg of rhubarb and custard sweets in stock?
30:41Um, yes, I do, yes.
30:43OK, perfect.
30:44If we go there, we're going to be late for the boat.
30:46If the boat leaves, we're not going to be honest.
30:47Mm-hm.
30:47I think the boat is the priority here.
30:49I think we make the move as well.
30:50I think we make the move.
30:50OK, let's head.
30:51Let's go, guys.
30:54Got the garlic.
30:55We got the sparkling wine and we got the fossil.
30:57There's three out of the four.
30:58God knows where this black cassette is.
31:00Mate, we have never worked out what that is.
31:02I just want to focus that we're there on time.
31:04Driver, can we go to the hovercraft, please?
31:11While the rest head for the finish.
31:13Hello, Eddie.
31:14Eddie, hi.
31:15Nice to meet you.
31:17Looking to land a last minute deal.
31:19We've got a sup here, so this is like seven, eight hundred quid.
31:23Oh my gosh.
31:24Pasha's posse.
31:25I'll tell you right now, that's way out of our price range.
31:27Yeah.
31:28We are looking for something you just want to get rid of.
31:30Do you have like a kid's version, perhaps?
31:32I got a second-hand one.
31:34Oh, that would be right.
31:36Like 250, somewhere around there.
31:38Do you think we could get down to the sort of 80?
31:41Oh.
31:42If we could take it off your hand.
31:43I could go 200.
31:45I'm sure Eddie could do us a 180.
31:48Come on.
31:49That's the rock bottom I could go.
31:51OK.
31:51That sounds like a...
31:52180.
31:52180 will take it.
31:53If anybody asks, you've got to tell me you've got it for a sick price.
31:57We were, Eddie.
31:59Paddleboard procured for over a hundred pounds less than the other team.
32:04Keep pushing.
32:0830 minutes to go.
32:10Switch up.
32:10We don't have time.
32:11Finish line, ride hover port.
32:14I can see a hover boat.
32:15I can actually see one.
32:16The hovercraft is waiting.
32:18And we are early.
32:20Right.
32:20Come on.
32:21Go.
32:21Go.
32:21Let's go.
32:22Let's go.
32:22Come on.
32:23Come on.
32:24Come on.
32:24Come on.
32:25Come on.
32:26Come on.
32:29Four miles to ride.
32:30That's what it says on the sign.
32:32Oh, God.
32:32We need to make it on time.
32:34I'm stressed.
32:35We need to go up to ride here.
32:36That's about six miles.
32:38We're about six miles away.
32:39Yeah.
32:40Welcome aboard.
32:4420 minutes.
32:47Let's take a seat.
32:494.40.
32:50Push up against time here and I'm not liking this gridlock.
32:52I don't feel going to be able to get rhubarb and custard.
32:54We might just have to head straight to...
32:57Hover travel.
32:57Yeah.
32:58I really don't want us to be late.
32:59Driver, could we please change the postcode and get to hover travel?
33:03Cool.
33:04I think we're getting out.
33:05Okay.
33:05That's the hovercraft there.
33:08There they are.
33:10Oh.
33:11Don't let them on.
33:13We're full.
33:15Hi, guys.
33:16Where's the rest of them?
33:17Where's your PM?
33:19There he is.
33:20Oh!
33:20Oh!
33:23The old rides food shop there.
33:25Do you think we run it?
33:26Driver, could you pull up here, please?
33:28We haven't got a minute, we haven't got much time.
33:30Come on.
33:31They could have taken a risk and gotten a last minute sweet deal.
33:34We're looking for two kilograms of rhubarb and custard at your best price.
33:38The hovercraft leaves in two minutes.
33:40Can we shut the doors, please?
33:4230 pounds.
33:42Go a little bit higher.
33:43Go 32.
33:44to say one pound 50 going in 31 50 all right thanks so you have to run back guys
33:49since second i was checking it twice get on bridge it's one minute to five it's five
34:12five p.m time's up
34:21that is so cool i'm so happy that livo henna made it and we ran with the bag of sweets
34:28my only regret from the day is that in the morning we potentially wasted a lot of time driving around
34:33aimlessly and i just hope that that's not the reason why we lose this task i believe in the
34:38strategy that i done which is why i stuck to it for most of the day it's really going to
34:42come down
34:43to the numbers will my strategy pay off i don't know tonight back to the mainland tomorrow's trip to the
34:51boardroom
34:57hey up louis in pm all right we slept well how did you sleep oh i like a light mate
35:03did you get all
35:04the right items this time we'll have to wait and see won't we that doesn't spark much confidence
35:07well mate go and buy my track record i ain't lost you but if i lose i'd be happy to
35:11lose to you
35:12oh cheers mate i wish i could say the same
35:21there's a lot more pressure on me in this boardroom being picked by lord sugar to be project manager
35:26we took a big risk on getting sweets and we're hoping that's paid off
35:31put myself up as project manager to prove that i can do better than hong kong
35:35i feel like my strategy was strong i'm confident and i'm not going down without a fight
35:43you can go through to the boardroom now
35:56so i sent you to um the isle of white to try and redeem yourself from the complete and utter
36:06disaster
36:08in hong kong i haven't forgot that um anyway so kieran yes lord so you were the um project manager
36:18for team alpha yeah you kick off very confidently and say that's it i'm going to redeem myself right
36:25that was the plan something like that good one of your words of wisdom to your team was that when
36:32negotiating with a vendor try for 30 percent initially is that right that is correct if we
36:38had a figure in mind we could save time they can go in at the 30 percent and get out
36:42yeah and then
36:44what was this three one two three one two you start at 30 percent they're more than likely going to
36:48come back around 10 percent and then you hope to aim in the middle oh i see is that your
36:5230 10 20.
36:53i'll remember that in future yeah um sounded good so tell me how you set out then so myself and
37:01lawrence were uh one team we went along the coastline down to shanklin yeah we found a shop
37:07that sold iguana dom which we figured must be dinosaur related yeah it's not the only terrifying
37:13dinosaur you had to find you got me here yeah um lawrence you negotiated for that thing did i did
37:21indeed how much did you get it for it started at 17 so i followed kieran's tactic i think it
37:26was
37:2612 quid on the on the nose 12 quid right okay next come on then we're moving along i had
37:32a call with
37:32the other team they'd found the something blue and we were in sand down which is the area that the
37:37vineyard was so we went straight there right so tell me about the wine then it was very nice indeed
37:43um chateau smurf de pap yeah yeah i personally think this was our best of the day um we ran
37:52and
37:53cleaned out the goat pen yeah that point in the day the only other item that was on our list
37:57was the
37:57black cassette which we still didn't know what it was um so we agreed 30 pound a bottle i'm not
38:03the
38:03biggest fan of goats and spent most of the time screaming um and then because she laughed so much
38:09lawrence said can we get an extra 250 a bottle so what did you pay in the end uh we
38:13ended up paying
38:1425 a bottle so 150 total it was a good discount okay let's move on to this uh connor's team
38:22team
38:22two karishma what did you do you bought the donuts didn't you yeah so there were six bird nests uh
38:28we
38:28went to a bakery and then this idea came to me that maybe they have branches near our end destination
38:34so i said could we get the other branch of your bakery to make them instead and that saved us
38:40a
38:40lot of time when we got to ride we ran so far to get to the bakery that because we
38:46were sweating
38:46and huffing and puffing i asked for a cheeky 55 pence off and we got it down to seven for
38:51six donuts
38:52we were in out time efficient with the three one two strategy in and out next one right yeah oh
38:59yeah so
38:59that so then we luckily we must be awful on a date haven't been on all right all right excellent
39:05for a while so we then we realized that the sup was not a fish we found out it was
39:08a stand-up
39:09paddleboard uh harry took the lead on this one um yeah so it was it was priced for 399 um
39:13gotten
39:14down to 300 then we hoisted it down and it was dustier than a sort of haunted house so we
39:19came
39:19back with 290 for for the sup what what's the last thing you picked up it was the morkeland
39:25where we legged it from the bakery to the antique shop um we we wanted to get in and out
39:31harry went
39:31in did it super quick and we were out of there do you know just for your reference that where
39:37you
39:37bought that stuff six minutes walking distance and you could have found the sweet shop we didn't know
39:43exactly where it was we didn't have our orientation we would have risked your exact words of getting
39:47late to the hovercraft which is always a calculated assessment based on my behalf the team did agree
39:51and i stick by it hmm again i mean so many sweet shops on the isle of white yeah oh
40:00well okay now
40:02then levi yes happy days happy happy days now you and rovna were what i would call team one yep
40:14karen
40:15said you were driving around for ages yeah because we were trying to find out what a business was you're
40:20hoping to run over an iguana don i mean you weren't on safari was you why why was you riding
40:27around for
40:28so long because we just wanted to find what our business was and we're trying we're just calling
40:31after calls after calls anyway how did you finally find out what it was because then i just went bakeries
40:37okay so you you you worked that out yeah the magic moment where'd you go next so yeah um so
40:44we got to
40:45the location where the mocklin where i was um i thought it'd be good for roffner to take the lead
40:49on this one he said it was 15 pounds um i managed to bring it down to 12 pounds and
40:54we didn't want
40:54to push too much so i kind of settled at you did push quite hard for a 25p discount sort
41:00of 20 minutes
41:01negotiation yeah it was a bit of it was quite tough like okay can i just move on um right
41:07did you know
41:08what the cassette was dave in the antique shop he told us it's the gears for the bike yeah that's
41:14that's what we come across it we're gearing for the bike where did you get that been like a bike
41:18out of place and in a second hand one yeah that's correct yeah whilst we could go and negotiate for
41:22the black set the bird's nest could be baking so we went straight to bakery um negotiated there at
41:28seven pound 55 for the bird's nests like seven pounds you got yours yes they got it 55p less
41:33um let's move on um who were the vampires that went to get the garlic then we we all went
41:41three
41:42vampires did you kick up a stink in there did you yeah it was yeah it was fun that's part
41:48of our
41:48negotiation we knew that you know i think it was one pound 70 per bulb so then we thought why
41:53don't
41:53we pick it ourselves we got it for 36 pounds so they gave you a discount for for picking yeah
41:58you
41:59paid 43 that's correct we didn't pick it ourselves right next um so then we went straight to uh
42:07something blue uh we went to the vineyard um we went in and initially it was she was quite a
42:13tough
42:13cookie to crack how much did you pay for the wine 226 226 pounds she would have actually given you
42:21a 15
42:21percent discount have to you well hold on a minute this lot got 450 yeah wow yeah we know with
42:29that
42:29one we we could have definitely tried a bit more we could have spent another hour there and looked
42:33then is it true to say that you're so sophisticated that you think little haggling is a village in the
42:40cotswolds or something yeah um right carry on what else so after that we went to uh get the sup
42:49we
42:50found eddie's um surfing surfing surfing place the first up that he showed us was 800 pounds obviously
42:57we were not going to go anywhere near that one um and priesh pushed for a children's sup or second
43:03hand
43:04and he showed us this bashed up sort of yeah you know second hand uh you start but it ticked
43:09the
43:09boxes we ended up shaking hands um on 180 pounds so you got it for 180 quid the second hand
43:16one yeah
43:16yeah and and it wasn't bashed up you know it was a good working yeah yeah but yours was new
43:22did you
43:23ask if they're the second hand one um i don't believe so they did say that was the only one
43:29they
43:29they said we asked how many one they had and it was on display okay it was a really good
43:33negotiation
43:33to be fair from starting at a brand new supper 800 pounds to you all then run to the uh
43:39checkpoint
43:39to the checkpoint yeah and going back to the jackpot you what we decided to go to this shop to
43:46buy the
43:46sweetest well we did get the sweets we did get the sweets that's correct well let's total it all up
43:53and see what happened so um tim let's talk about the results um what happened with your team well
44:01they bought seven items on the list that you gave them and they spent a total of 544 pounds
44:07but as they didn't buy two of the items the rhubarb and custard and the black cassette it meant that
44:13you imposed fines on them of 200 pounds and given them a total of 744 pounds right okay karen
44:23uh well they got a fine for not getting the red duster uh which was a hundred pounds but they
44:29managed to get eight correct items eight out of nine yeah so on the eight correct items they spent 514
44:37pounds and seven pence so there's a total spend for this team of 614 pounds and seven pence
44:47well done well done well done um congrats mate at least ladies and gentlemen at least we did redeem
44:56ourselves a bit from hong kong because at least you found a lot of items um okay off you go
45:03back to the
45:12house thank you well bearing in mind we were looking for these um iguana dons
45:22as far as this process goes one of you is about to become extinct off you go thank you
45:30all right well it's two aisles it's two aisles two items down them up
45:37hmm i am buzzing chopping out honestly i know how much this one meant to you it's like in your
45:46face david with all that cockiness of that this morning oh my god i knew that was just a front
45:50back yeah you were worried i do not envy the other team
45:58there's negatives and positives on everyone here we got this up
46:02but i spent 110 more than the other team i honestly believe there would be no sup if we
46:07didn't get it from that shop yeah i think if kieran brings me back to the boardroom i think he'll
46:11probably try and pin this up on me but i followed the strategy we were given um and i'm hoping
46:15that
46:15lorchig will see that you guys said you enjoyed a few drinks you then were in the gold's house it
46:20sounds like a great school tour you were there all of the second half of the day i had to
46:24get one item
46:25we may took a little bit longer than we needed to but we got a good prize we were told
46:28to be in and
46:29out and that's what we did they didn't follow their own strategy so lawrence and kieran they
46:33better be coming up with a great defense right now the other teams they're the same amount of time
46:37as you at the end to get the sweets there was absolutely no time if we missed out at any
46:41point
46:41we would have been late to the hovercraft and lost ultimately what this boils down to our team
46:45got four products you guys got three i'm nervous going into the boardroom everyone's going to be
46:51coming for me and my strategy however i will be fighting back could you send the candidates in
47:05please good luck babes let's do this
47:19right uh kieran one of your initial comments was to catch up from hong kong it was unfinished business
47:28yeah uh well you still have unfinished business you didn't buy the cassette or sweets did you
47:35no no no why we didn't know what the black set was and just to cover me and laurence we
47:41passed over
47:42and where the sweets were and we told the other team therefore we thought they had got them um it
47:47was it was purely a time thing lord sugar we we had to make sort of exact decision that we
47:52didn't have
47:53enough time you know you rushed back to the hovercraft you got there 20 minutes early uh you
47:58remind me of fans who leave the football game early you know a part of me feels like i wish
48:04we went for
48:05the sweets but it was a huge risk and if it went wrong it would have completely fallen on connor
48:09and
48:09if i was in this position i probably would have done the same but levi and rothner still got the
48:14sweets and got to the hovercraft on time yeah um so it was possible yeah it was possible it was
48:22a
48:22boat to portsmouth not a flight to pyongyang and and and fair enough do you know what it was
48:27possible we could have risked it the hinging of this doesn't essentially lie on the sweets because
48:31we would have the hinging of this comes down to the sup you've gone into a shop that sells one
48:35sup they could put whatever price tag they want on it i think the negotiation that i did there was
48:40good and it meant that we saved loads of time you know it does raise the point really there are
48:45other
48:45vendors on the island that sell this stuff absolutely but we yeah so you could you could have walked away
48:50we we could have but i doubt we would have got one to be honest lord sugar the other team
48:53got one
48:54they've got a second hand one in a shop in japan less if we knew there was other options obviously
48:58we would have gone for them but we were under strict time slash location difficulties but it's
49:02using an initiative mate if you go in a shop which only has one sup they're obviously going to put
49:06the
49:06price up because they can't compare you can't compare it to any others you know you like we've
49:10seen in this process you have to walk away sometimes if we walked away we'd have had six items you
49:14spent an hour in a goat's pen you guys had time to enjoy drinks we were out there running around
49:18the
49:19streets there's a complete mismatch of your lads day out versus our tactical and reasonable decisions
49:26lads day yeah drinks drinks yeah i was drinking blue blue wine did you we did sample the wine
49:34to get to know the product and again it then brought a close relationship with the vendor which we then
49:40managed to negotiate a very good so lawrence the bone the guanodon yeah i've got a bone to pick with
49:47you
49:47over this because um you paid more than the other team i paid 10 pound 50 you paid 12 quid
49:54for it
49:55yeah so i literally with the project manager he said 30 percent i went in at what was almost exactly
50:0130 percent um the guy came back and said 12 uh or a bit more than that and then we
50:08eventually agreed on
50:0812. um yeah karishma what did you get off on the donuts so i think we got around 28 off
50:14the first
50:15mention price do you think the 30 percent constraint that this he put on you really cramped your style
50:22i'm a little bit naturally like with negotiations i'm a bit more aggressive with them so we were
50:27we were doing our best with these numbers but we were capped at this 30 percent one of you
50:33or at least one of you is going today where do you think the responsibility lays here i think the
50:38failure lies with lawrence and the pm ultimately we failed this task because we didn't receive enough
50:41items we got seven they got eight our team secured four your team secured three yeah which we gave
50:47you on a plate too mate um let's wrap this up now um who are you bringing back into this
50:53boardroom uh
50:54kieran connor and harry all right okay lawrence and uh karishma go back to the house thank you so much
51:10oh lord well i'm just gonna ask you to pop outside for a while and uh you'll come back in
51:18here and
51:18we'll see who's leaving yeah okay off you go so what do you think well i can see why i
51:32bought harry back
51:33of all the items they bought he negotiated this up you go into a shop at midday you have got
51:40time
51:40to walk out of that shop and find it somewhere else somewhere else yeah seems like connor's pretty
51:47fired out of here i think connor's got a right to feel annoyed this team were really pushing hard
51:51however he was the sub-team leader and he oversaw negotiations that weren't great yeah i'm wondering
51:58whether the 30 thing backfired a little bit his whole strategy was be quick and yet he wasted the most
52:05amount of the time in the vineyard drinking wine by the sounds of it yes could you send the three
52:13of
52:13them in please i'll start with you kieran in telling me why you brought these two gentlemen back in
52:32so i bought connor back just simply for the fact we haven't got any sweets and with harry it's just
52:39the difference in price from the other team the hundred pound it's just it's the largest amount
52:43of money in the in the task you know someone does have to try and get the most expensive item
52:47that's
52:47just how it works and actually it came out with a good negotiation i think the thing is there was
52:51no
52:51there's no there's nothing to compare it to so they could put any figure they want on it use your
52:55initiative if it's the only one look for others to compare it to we simply didn't have the time and
53:00i
53:00think we did have the time it was midday you could have walked away we could we could have walked
53:04away absolutely but then i think there's other places on the island that you could have got to
53:07we were always talking about time we need to be on time there's a lot of items to get throughout
53:11the
53:11day i think you know it showed we had three items by lunch they had one so you think if
53:16you weren't
53:16petting goats for an hour you could have got either the sweets or the black cassette honestly i was
53:20actually very scared of the goats and didn't pay any of them um but i think you need to get
53:24away from this
53:25little lad's holiday that you think we had and rather that we actually got a better negotiation than any of
53:29yours lord sugar and with this i think we obviously the suck was expensive i'm not going to lie about
53:35that that obviously was expensive but we had to make the executive decision whether we get it from
53:39that shop or risk not getting it at all you also spent more than twice what the other team did
53:43on the
53:44mock limb where yeah absolutely we did not have time to go to another shop to get it um okay
53:50so i've got
53:52to decide which one of you uh is leaving today so why shouldn't i fire you connor i think my
53:59biggest
53:59challenge over this process has been to prove myself as a viable business candidate and if you
54:03go back to both discount buying tasks i was the person on both teams who received the highest
54:07percentage discount in both marketplaces both the flowers and the food i was the highest seller of the
54:12day why shouldn't i fire you uh kieran lord sugar you said to me on week two when i told
54:18you i'm not a
54:20children's book writer you said i'm looking for someone to adapt i think from the person i was then
54:26to who i am now i've definitely adapted i've proved to you that i'm not just the typical estate agent
54:32yeah
54:33why shouldn't i fire you i think lord sugar i've really grown throughout the process i've shown
54:37a lot of progress but also some good results i did a good negotiation i believe on that sup and
54:42i agree
54:42there are other subs on the island 100 right well look i'm it's very very hard really um kieran um
54:51to
54:51be fair this is nowhere near the disaster it was uh in hong kong um it does show how i've
54:58adapted as well
54:59lord sugar well i don't know if it does i mean uh he didn't win if you had won i
55:06would have said yeah
55:07you've adapted yeah um connor you're a good talker but um the sweets you should have gone and got them
55:16it's as simple as that and harry um you know midday you should have walked away harry you should have
55:25walked away and found another vendor but um kieran i gave you two cracks at the whip
55:34and you failed on both occasions and for that reason um you kind of give me a dilemma
55:46um
55:49do i like your character do i like your spirit yes
55:54um connor i like your spirit also
56:00she's regretful when i say that um my gut feeling is telling me harry you're fired
56:08thank you very much for the opportunity no sugar 10 pounds brady it's been absolutely amazing
56:12okay good luck to you thank you so much
56:22i didn't know what to do there just now i really didn't know what to do
56:29okay well just just go back to the house now okay thank you thank you thank you
56:44oh it is difficult that was a difficult one he's such a nice man he's a very nice man but
56:52i have to do what i have to do it's as simple as that i'm gutted to go on those
56:58negotiations i
56:59thought they were good enough obviously they weren't in the end um and yeah it's just a shame
57:03i'd love to go on further but it just wasn't meant to be it's so hard now because like everyone's
57:10got
57:10such a win behind them to have got to this point it's all too close to call really and you
57:15can't you're
57:16only picking people up from a little bit yeah any rhubarb and custard oh my is it just you well
57:24done mate
57:26harry harry's gone oh my god trophy now harry what the hell well done i i thought it was gonna
57:36be a
57:36double and what you gotta tell us everything like what happened it come down to the price we paid for
57:42that's up wow it's getting tough now you can't hide like one mistake it's fatal now nine candidates
57:51remain the search for lord sugar's next business partner continues next time being on screen is what
58:01you lot are gonna have to get used to lights can he hear us kieran not if you can hear
58:08us he's in
58:10trouble here aren't he camera you've got 20 seconds on the phone hey come on you're just being very
58:14chaotic action i think he was diabolical
58:22unfinished business harry joins angela scantlin over on bbc 2 now on bbc iplayer borders his back the
