00:14After Sal betrays Lincoln and kills Sammy Nellis
00:17he knows that he needs more than just Cassandra's help
00:19so he contacts Thomas Burke
00:21He's just a really fun character
00:23he's just got a crazy mouth on him
00:25he's spent kind of his life drinking and indulging in every kind of vice you can imagine
00:30and at the same time it's kind of left a toll on him personally and professionally
00:35one of the side effects of that kind of got him into hot water with Sal Marcano
00:39Because of this he needs to be punished
00:41so Sal sends in a guy named Roman the Butcher Barbieri
00:44who takes a crowbar to Burke's left leg and permanently cripples him
00:48Burke is kind of at the lowest point in his life right now
00:50his son was murdered, he doesn't have any territory any longer
00:53and he's feeling pretty impotent
00:54when Lincoln comes along there's an opportunity to get some payback
00:57and also get a little bit more of that power that he used to have before
01:00Ever since then Burke has been basically looking for a way to kind of get back
01:04at first at the good side of Marcano
01:06and then eventually when he realizes that that's not going to work out
01:09he just wants to take him out altogether
01:11and part of that is exacting a horrific revenge on the Butcher
01:14in fact that's contingent upon him agreeing to assist Lincoln
01:17when it comes time to deal with the Butcher
01:19Burke wants to handle that himself
01:29he's going to be a fantastic sponsor
