00:09In the Mafia universe, the city of New Bordeaux, which is our version of New Orleans, has been run by

00:14the Marcano family for decades.

00:16And when the game opens in 1968, it's actually being run by a guy named Sal Marcano, who is the

00:21big shot, the head of that family.

00:24He worked his way up through the organization until he finally made the right kind of moves, some bloodier than

00:34others, to seize control of the mob and run things his way.

00:39He has a relationship with Leo, who you may remember from Mafia 2, and the Commission, in that he kicks

00:45up to them, but they pretty much give him carte blanche to run the city however he sees fit.

00:49The one thing that they do ask of him is that he basically accepts anyone they send him.

00:54So it's kind of a dumping ground for mobsters, which is also how Vito ends up there.

00:59Maybe the most important relationship Sal has is with his son Georgie.

01:03And Sal is essentially grooming Georgie to take control of the city at the start of Mafia 3.

01:08He's the person that Sal trusts more than anybody else, he confides in, he relies on.

01:15Georgie is young, he's ambitious, and his plans and desires don't necessarily line up 100% with his father's.

01:24But at the end of the day, this is a game about family and a game about loyalty.

01:28And we put that to the test with Lincoln, but also with Georgie as well.
