00:09Lincoln can earn money in a variety of different ways.
00:11Everything from just taking out individual gangsters
00:13you'll kind of get a money boost from that
00:15to actually the process of unpicking
00:17the crime ecosystem in the city.
00:19Districts in the city are built up of criminal rackets.
00:22As Lincoln takes those down
00:24he gets tip-offs on
00:25high-value targets.
00:27You can interrogate people
00:29that will tell you where a different racket
00:31is storing all of its money.
00:32And so you can go after that one
00:34specific place where everyone stashed
00:37the money for the racket.
00:38And if you take that down you'll get a huge amount of money.
00:41One of the great ways to
00:43make more money is by
00:45recruiting racket bosses.
00:47If you wiretapped that district enough
00:48you're given the option whether to
00:50kill or recruit that racket boss.
00:53And if you kill that
00:55you get, you know,
00:57a lower amount of money.
00:58But if you recruit that racket boss
01:01you make a larger amount of money
01:03over a certain period of time.
01:05And so it really incentivizes
01:08recruiting as many racket bosses
01:09as you can instead of killing them.
01:11The hideouts themselves then
01:13start to generate earn.
01:14So over time you get access to more
01:17and more cash and this allows Lincoln
01:18to upgrade his fleet.
01:20He can upgrade all of those vehicles
01:22and add performance to them
01:24as the game progresses.
01:25There's different types of weaponry in the game
01:27that Lincoln can gain access to as well.
01:29Ever more powerful stuff.
01:30Basic supplies which you'll call in through
01:32one of the other services, your arms dealer.
01:34Things like grenades and C4.
01:37As Lincoln goes through the game
01:39obviously picking up money
01:40he stores it in his wallet.
01:42But if you were to die at some point
01:44then you would lose a significant chunk of that cash.
01:46So we have a service through one of the underbosses
01:49and this is called the consigliere
01:50so you can kind of call this driver in
01:52who comes and picks up money from you
01:55and then stores that in a safe location.
01:57So you want to keep doing that throughout the game
02:00so that you make sure when you die
02:01you're not going to lose all of your money
02:03because that could be potentially quite a big hit
02:05depending on how long you've been stashing it for.
