00:00You know, you talk about depth, and we've been talking about this a lot.
00:03We might have even talked about it with you, is that if you keep the first-round pick
00:07and you end up taking a go-offensive lineman with that,
00:11do you think they'd be comfortable taking an offensive lineman in the first round
00:14that they weren't going to start the season as a starting offensive lineman?
00:20Yeah, I remember talking about that with you, and I've thought about it a lot more.
00:23It's embarrassing maybe to say that this is my life.
00:25I'm walking the dog thinking, like, well, maybe he's right.
00:27If they do a right tackle, what are they going to do there?
00:30But the more I've thought about it, I don't think that they're going to take an offensive tackle
00:34in the first round, in part because I think you've got to play the guy.
00:39You're a team that was in the Super Bowl a year ago, and then to use your best asset,
00:43your first-round pick, on a guy to sit on the bench, that doesn't make a ton of sense to
00:48me
00:48because you are so close and also because part of the value of these rookie players in the NFL
00:53is they're on that low contract, fixed deal, that rookie contract.
00:58And so then you're just going to throw away one year of that?
01:01That also doesn't make a ton of sense to me.
01:03So that's something I'm embarrassed to say.
01:06I've thought a lot more about since we last spoke.
01:08But I do think it almost has to be edge rusher or wide receiver.
01:12And of course, wide receiver leads into an A.J. Brown conversation.
01:14But that's why I'm leaning way more toward defensive line right now, edge rusher,
01:20or maybe even defensive tackle than I am offensive tackle,
01:23just because I think you've got to play the guy if you're going to draft him.
