00:00So it is two pages of basically stuff you can find from Google.
00:05I think this does contain the brilliant disclaimer at the top of it as well.
00:10It says something like, she says reading it.
00:14Checks should not be considered exhaustive.
00:17I absolutely love that.
00:18There's some spectacular arse covering that goes on in these papers.
00:21And that is like, to put it at the front and the top of the document,
00:24by the way, can't guarantee anything written down here.
00:27I've done like a really lame job.
00:29But there are a few things in this which are, I mean, I would say not just troubling,
00:33but really, really bothersome.
00:35I don't think it's an excellent piece of work.
00:38And the one thing that I don't think really, really kind of made me stop in my tracks
00:44is when you get to the section on Jeffrey Epstein,
00:49it describes his crime as procuring an underage girl.
00:56Which, I don't know what I do.
01:00It's actually wrong, for starters.
01:02It's not an accurate description of the crime.
01:05So somebody has taken the accurate description of the crime,
01:09which is soliciting a minor for prostitution,
01:12and has written it up as procuring an underage girl.
01:18And, you know, I know it's a truism and everybody says, you know,
01:23why aren't we talking enough about the actual people who were really damaged,
01:27really damaged by all of this?
01:28And by the way, that is not Peter Mandelson.
01:31The people who are actually really damaged, not people, the girls who are really damaged.
01:34But this is just another sign of how kind of casual and it's horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible to read that.
01:44And I don't really understand.
01:46And maybe there is.
01:46Maybe anybody who read that had the same reaction that I did and you did
01:51and has gone, what the hell?
01:53What on earth do you mean?
01:54Well, and also, you know, as a former criminal barrister and director of public prosecutions,
01:59you would think the prime minister might say, what does procuring a young girl mean?
02:06Procuring?
02:06It's just not accurate.
02:08And it's so weird to speak in these kinds of euphemisms as though to be delicate about it.
02:16And particularly combined with what we now know was coming from the Washington embassy
02:22about everything here was going to kick off vis-a-vis Epstein.
02:27You can just put the two together.
02:29How can you miss something like that?
02:31And so you get to all of this kind of, and people have said, like, come on, hang on a
02:36second.
02:36If you read this, how would you possibly think it was okay?
02:39You know, how did the prime minister read all of this stuff and then go, yeah, that seems fine to
02:43me.
02:44But there is also kind of who is advising properly here?
02:48Because you've got this absolute charge sheet of horribleness.
02:52Yeah.
