00:07Yeah, I can understand why they would rather have picks in 27,
00:09which is why they may wait teams out at this point,
00:11because it benefits them to get picks in a draft they prefer,
00:14which is next year.
00:15And it benefits them on their accounting to do it after June 1st.
00:20So they'll wait it out.
00:22They'll get better picks.
00:23They're negotiating from a position right now that looks good,
00:28given the deal that went on yesterday in the league with Waddle getting moved.
00:32There is a difference, though, between Jalen Waddle and A.J. Brown.
00:36There's no indication that Jalen Waddle demanded to be traded.
00:39There's no indication that Jalen Waddle shot his way,
00:43as we like to say, out of Miami.
00:45There's no indication that he hated it there, hated his coach,
00:48or hated his quarterback, or any of those things happening.
00:51There's none of that there.
00:53So the Miami Dolphins did not appear to be in a position
00:56where they felt they had to trade the player
00:58because it wasn't functional anymore, that the relationship had soured.
01:02In Philadelphia, although it's not abundantly clear that that's the case,
01:06there are plenty of indications that maybe this player doesn't get along
01:10with the coach, or the player doesn't get along with the quarterback,
01:13or the player is generally not happy playing for the Eagles.
01:17I think we have hints of all of that in Philadelphia,
01:20which would tell you Howie Roseman's position is maybe not as strong as Miami's,
01:25which is fine.
01:26But the thing I'll go back to that we said yesterday is that A.J. Brown
01:30is perceived in the league to be a better player than Jalen Waddle.
01:35So that's why Howie Roseman can still sit there and say,
01:39if Waddle went for that, A.J. Brown should also go for that.
01:43Should go for Boer.
01:44If not.
01:45Well, no, I mean, if he's just being honest about the situation,
01:49he is not dealing a player that was in the same spot as Waddle.
01:53And we recognize there's a gap between those players.
01:56So all things factored in, okay, the distressed asset that you may have an A.J. Brown,
02:06I think all things are equal when you start talking about the fact
02:09that the Dolphins didn't have that.
02:10And this is a better player, so it makes up for that,
02:13for the distressed asset angle.
02:15If you think that the Patriots will pay a lesser price or the Rams or the Chargers
02:21or any other team is going to pay a lesser price just because A.J. Brown
02:26doesn't want to be there, I think you're wrong.
02:29They don't have to trade him.
02:31They really don't.
02:32He's a good player.
02:33I think they might, but I think they're going to have multiple suitors.
02:36And I think the market has really been established.

02:42And when some of these guys move, some of the big ticket guys,
02:44and you get through OTAs, you get through a minicamp,
02:46they're like, just something's not working here.
02:48Let's go get A.J. Brown.
02:49He's still out there.
02:51The longer you wait on this, I think it's going to be the worst for you.
02:54You're going to get left at the altar, and that would be bad.
