FLOODWATER SWEEPS THROUGH PARKING GARAGE IN HAWAII
WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
A powerful storm sends heavy mud and floodwater rushing through a residential parking area in Hawaii.
Santiago Kirchner, from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, filmed the scene at the Alahou apartments as intense rainfall triggered a fast-moving surge of debris-filled water through the parking garage.
The footage shows thick mud flowing rapidly across the lot, pushing through and surrounding parked vehicles.
The video captures the strength of the storm, with water and debris quickly filling the space and overwhelming the area in a short period of time.
The video was captured on the 14th of March.
Viewers reacted with concern in the comments.
One wrote: “Scary how development up mauka ruins the flow and now Kona town just gets busted up at times like this. Praying all is safe.”
Another added: “Uh, your sunroof is open oh no.”
