00:54xing yuan julie geom xing yuan it is essentially a rival for the seagull and the beauty dolphin

01:52and it's also powered by an nvidia drive oran chip with 254 tops of computing power now nvidia drive oran
01:59chip is new and it's good but if you look at the computing power speed of that chip not particularly
02:06impressive is it 254 tops in comparison to say xpeng's cars with 2250 with their turing chips
02:14so it's interesting here i mean of course this is a base model car now you wouldn't expect the seagull
02:19to have that kind of computing power but i'm just comparing the nvidia drive oran chip to the xpeng
02:24turing chip and there's a quite a big difference in computing speed that may not be a big factor
02:29though the hardware enables advanced features like automated valet parking and urban express navigation in
02:36other words basically being able to drive on self-driving on a freeway which is not exactly
02:42new now apparently the car is going to be a little heavier because well more range but also the motor
02:49is a little bit more powerful it's now got a 60 kilowatt motor instead of 55 kilowatt the car size
02:55is the same i haven't changed that so can you get lidar outside of china well not currently but bill
03:02has a partnership with robosense and they're expected to offer lidar as an optional upgrade
03:07for about 1 500 us dollars or 10 000 rmb so you know about two and a half thousand australian

03:16is it worth it in my opinion absolutely not i don't think it's going to make much of a difference

03:21honest i don't think that would be the bottleneck here uh and i really don't think it that um paying
03:26that money would give you really a good return on investment now it's not like they're saying for an

03:35it's just saying you'll get lidar anyhow the beauty seagull is it's a pretty small car i mean it's much
03:41smaller than the geolish geom xing yuan it's 3780 millimeters long and it's 1715 millimeters wide
03:51but it's got a surprisingly good amount of boot space i think the seagull is a great car it's the
03:56cheapest ev in a lot of different countries around the world now not just china um well obviously it's not
04:01the cheapest ev in china not by a long shot but it's the cheapest ev in countries like australia
04:05that said other companies are planning similarly priced vehicles to the seagull so bwd may have
04:13just put in their new blade battery they have two different versions of the new blade battery one is
04:17the long blade one is the short blade not sure which one they would have used but maybe the long
04:22blade because that's the one that has the higher energy density that might be what's enabled this
04:27extra 100 kilometers of range because that's a lot of increase in range now that cltc range though i
04:33should say so the wltp range will probably be about 410 kilometers which is still a really good
04:38improvement for me personally i think the seagull doesn't have quite enough range for what i would
04:43personally want but a lot of people don't care about that you know they drive them in the city but

04:48think this is a good upgrade it probably will increase the charging speed of the seagull as well
04:52because these new blade batteries and bwd's new architectures are capable of much faster
04:57charging speed are they going to put it with 1000 kilowatt charging now of course not oh i don't
05:01think so very unlikely but i do expect a charging speed increase similar to what we've seen with the
05:08byd auto 3 which went from slow one of the slowest charging cars to one of the fastest charging cars
