00:05Welcome back to the Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay series.
00:08In this video, we'll focus on multiplayer,
00:11which enables you to take on new adventures
00:13and further challenges beyond the single player campaign.
00:17Multiplayer is a cooperative mode
00:18that encourages and rewards teamwork.
00:20Up to four players join together
00:22to survive escalating waves of enemies,
00:24complete a series of objectives,
00:26and extract from the battlefield.
00:29Let's jump right in.
00:31First, choose your character kit.
00:33There are over 25 character kits available at launch,
00:36including species from both the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies.
00:39Each has a unique set of skills and abilities
00:42suited for different play styles.
00:44From here, customize your loadout.
00:46Like the single player campaign,
00:48multiplayer weapons utilize Milky Way,
00:51Helios Cluster,
00:52and Remnant Technologies.
00:54Each technology type gives you an edge
00:56on particular types of enemies.
00:58Over 40 unique weapons will be available,
01:00with more arriving in the months to come.
01:02Any character can use any weapon.
01:04There are no class restrictions.
01:07Best of all, you can modify and upgrade weapons
01:09to give you an edge on the battlefield.
01:12Boosters are another element of your loadout,
01:14granting additional attributes like cryo ammo,
01:17increased shields, faster skill cooldowns,
01:20or even extra XP.
01:22I'm hopping into battle as a Turian Havoc Trooper,
01:24equipped for medium to long range combat,
01:26with a skill focus on combat and tech abilities.
01:29Our Solarian Operator is equipped for medium to close quarters combat,
01:33with a skill focus entirely on tech abilities.
01:35Our Human Adept is also equipped for medium to close quarters combat,
01:39but she's rolling into combat,
01:41with a skill focus entirely on biotic abilities.
01:44Last, but certainly not least,
01:46is our Krogan Engineer.
01:46This bruiser of a teammate is going to play a vital role
01:50in supporting us should things get tough.
01:52Looks like everyone's ready.
01:54Let's get to it.
01:56Here, we're on Firebase Sandstorm.
01:58This is Wave 4.
01:59We're taking on the Remnant,
02:01which will be arriving in greater numbers than in previous waves.
02:04We'll need to work as a team if we want to survive.
02:07Here they come.
02:09Wielding a Black Widow Sniper Rifle,
02:10I'll pick off some enemies with my squad mates.
02:17The Remnant have excellent combat range,
02:19and our position seems jeopardized,
02:20so we're going to rush ahead into the buildings
02:22where we aren't so exposed.
02:24The Nullifier and Assembler are stronger enemy types,
02:27but they're no match against a good fire combo.
02:29Still, the Remnant are advancing on our flanks.
02:32I'll post up behind cover
02:33and lay down fire with my Assault Rifle
02:35while my shields recharge.
02:39Looks like there's a clear path through these buildings,
02:41so we'll dart around and attack them head-on.
02:43In periods of calm like these,
02:45always consider using the supplies you've carried into combat.
02:50It seems to cut these observers by surprise.
02:53Using our powers combined, they won't last long.
02:56Remember, the best kill is a combo kill.
03:06The Remnant forces dwindled significantly,
03:08but those that remain are starting to swarm.
03:11Just like us, they're stronger together.
03:14It looks like our Krogan teammate needs some help.
03:17You can approach and revive Fallen Squadmates anytime,
03:19but be careful,
03:20as this will leave you exposed to the enemy.
03:24It looks like there's still a few stragglers.
03:26Let's send them out with a bang.
03:32We've cleared the wave,
03:33but they'll be back and in greater numbers.
03:36Make sure you and your team are ready.
03:38At launch, there will be five multiplayer maps,
03:41including Sandstorm.
03:43They are...
03:44Firebase Zero, an outpost built into an asteroid.
03:47Firebase Icebreaker, a fueling station on a frozen ice-covered planet.
03:52Firebase Magma, a foundry set on a cooling river of lava.
03:56Firebase Derelict, an abandoned Kett ship.
03:59And Firebase Sandstorm, a vacated Milky Way species outpost set in a sprawling desert.
04:05At the completion of a match, all players' XP, credits and medals are added up and awarded to each player,
04:11so there's no need to compete with your teammates.
04:14Use your XP to upgrade your character and evolve existing and new abilities.
04:18Use your credits to buy packs and unlock weapons, characters and mods.
04:23Then, put your strategies to the test in the next match.
04:27There's another way to engage with multiplayer missions called Strike Teams.
04:31From the Tempest, launch the interface for the Strike Team missions.
04:35Here, you send Apex Strike Teams on important missions for the Andromeda Initiative.
04:40You earn rewards from the Strike Team missions that can be used in single player.
04:44Missions can either be completed by your single player Apex Strike Team or by you in a multiplayer battle.
04:50As you play, you'll quickly figure out what works and doesn't for each character.
04:55Here are a few tips to help you jump directly into your first match and play like a pro.
05:00Always check your supplies before starting a mission.
05:02You never know when you're going to need an extra revive pack or a Cobra RPG.
05:07Begin your multiplayer adventure with the tutorial mission to earn some helpful rewards.
05:11Use cover. It's fast, easy and it will save you from taking too much damage.
05:17Play as a team. Stick together, support each other and communicate.
05:22Working together is the only way to ensure humanity's survival in our search for a new home.
05:28We'll see you in Andromeda.
05:42Go toamyon,45 to catch up on all the options.
05:42Am I going to use this channel?
05:42For a new path.
05:42The track is a new path you're going to.
05:42You're going to be able to take your best route.
05:42You're going to be able to give you some points.
