00:08The original Age of Empires actually didn't have that main theme.
00:12That didn't actually come about until the second Age of Empires game.
00:15So I went back and I personally wrote the main theme for the game.
00:20And it's the first thing that you hear when you launch the title.
00:26It has the memorable thematic element that is identified with Age of Empires.
00:31So you will immediately recognize it.
00:33And then we expanded upon that.
00:38We picked apart every track.
00:40I must have listened to each of those tracks 200 times each.
00:43And we pulled out the elements.
00:45The elements that are endemic to the track.
00:51A lot of indigenous flutes.
00:55A lot of indigenous wind and brass instruments mixed with heavy percussion.
01:01Your A in the middle of the line, it's for example 31.
01:05The A in the middle is a bit too flat.
01:10Originally we were just going to take the tracks and make them better.
01:16As we started diving in, we realized, you know, we hit a gold mine of material.
01:30I went to the well and asked for some additional funding so that we could bookend the experience with orchestral
01:37tracks.
01:38The music was recorded by the Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague in a single one-day session.
01:44As music started rolling off the production line, people were really enjoying what they were hearing.
01:49So I was able at the end of the day to get about 20 minutes of the full score recorded
01:54with a 66 piece orchestra.
01:57It makes a huge difference.
02:10I want them to walk away with the fondness that the generation did 20 years ago.
02:16And be able to carry that on through the next generation of the franchise.
02:19All two indirect亮蒜
