00:09I can't believe it's been five years already since I recorded for the first Banner Saga game.
00:14Getting to sing on the Banner Saga franchise was just a dream come true for me.
00:19I had this far off dream of someday hopefully getting to sing on a score
00:24and Austin was the very first composer to invite me to sing.
00:27Being part of the soundtrack of all three of these games has been an awesome experience.
00:32I met Austin Wintry I think it was a few years before the first Banner Saga game.
00:36He was so kind about everything and we developed a really nice friendship ever since then.
00:42This was really an honor that he asked me to perform on one of the video games that he was
00:46composing for.
00:47I'm so grateful that throughout these three games Austin and I got to know each other, got to develop a
00:52friendship.
00:52It's a friendship that I treasure because he has just been a great source of wisdom and of guidance.
00:59The first game was the first time I'd ever performed on any video game soundtrack.
01:03Austin wanted a very rustic style, almost out of tune sounding in certain sections.
01:09So this was totally different from anything that I've tried before.
01:13He had a very clear idea of what he wanted.
01:16When you get such clear direction, it becomes almost easy to just fill in the blanks.
01:22English? Lovely language. Icelandic? Oh my dear lord is that language. Impossible to sing.
01:31It was so difficult. It's like holding a very strange sounding vowel to me.
01:36It's like stretching it out for like eight measures.
01:39Hate is a very extreme word.
01:41To this day, I would just like to formally apologize to the country of Iceland for butchering their language.

01:52One of the reasons that this project has felt so special is that it also included two of my really
01:57great friends
01:58who I also have such respect for as musicians, both Maluka and Peter Hollands.
02:04Working on any project with Taylor Davis and Maluka is an incredible honor.
02:08I love getting to work with Taylor Davis and Peter Hollands.
02:11Peter, of course, is a one-man orchestra and Taylor is a tremendous violinist with such a beautiful, beautiful sound.
02:18That's what music's about. It's about collaboration.
02:20The great thing about this experience was that it was such a specific score.
02:24The tone of it, the instrumentation of it, it's unlike anything else that I've heard.
02:29This is always going to have an extremely special place in my heart.
02:33And the fact that it was something I was able to work on with friends like Austin, Peter, and Maluka,
02:38honestly, it's going to be, I think, tough to top this experience.
02:41It's so great to be part of something that started as a crowdfunded project and to see it flourish.
02:46It's an absolute treat.
02:48This was such a wonderful experience.
02:50I am so thankful to Stoic and to Austin for inviting me to be a part of it.
02:55It's something I won't soon forget.
02:57It was honestly a dream come true.
