Two dead in meningitis outbreak in Kent:what is the illness?

Two people have died following an outbreak of meningitis in Kent.The UK Health Security Agency said it has been notified of 13 possible cases of the disease in the county.Meningitis is the inflammation of brain and spinal cord tissue, and can be the result of an infection.
