00:00Well we are very concerned about this current outbreak because it is extremely
00:04unusual and we know that meningococcal disease can be extremely severe and
00:09tragically during this particular outbreak we have seen already two
00:14people that have lost their lives with a further 11 people who are seriously
00:17unwell in hospital. It's important though to note that meningococcal disease is
00:22actually incredibly rare in this country thanks to the success of our
00:25vaccination programme but we do sometimes see these sorts of incidents
00:29occurring and that's why it's so important that we respond as quickly as
00:33possible.
