00:02where we're going to show you what you need to know before going into battle.
00:05Today we're going to look at V2 Rocket.
00:07Boom!
00:11Hey, I'm Matt Abbott, Lead Artist for Multiplayer at Sledgehammer Games.
00:15And I'm Gabriel Galaz, Multiplayer Level Designer at Sledgehammer Games.
00:19And I worked on the maps for DLC 2, The War Machine.
00:22V2 takes place at Pinamunde,
00:24which is on a secret island out in the Baltic Sea.
00:26The entire map focuses on one structure,
00:30which is the launch tower in the middle of the map.
00:31The star of the show is the V2 Rocket.
00:34My favorite thing in this map is to get to the top of the rocket
00:38and see how long I can stay up there.
00:40It's a good challenge to get up there, and if you can own up there,
00:43no one's looking at you and you can just have a field day on them.
00:46You can.
00:47You climb up the ladder, you can stand right here.
00:49You can look out on everyone running around down here.
00:53Now as soon as you shoot, boom!
00:55You better be ready because everyone's going to know you're there.
00:58Your fastest ways to get here are probably going to be this entrance here
01:02because the stairway leading up to that tower is immediately to your left.
01:07You enter from here.
01:09There's an alternate path which is going to take some platforming and some mantling.
01:13So if you go from here to here, you can jump up from this location.
01:16If you're having problems fighting people who are controlling the launch tower from here,
01:22from here, and from here, you can go underneath the launch tower
01:26and you pop up right beneath the rocket.
01:29And then from there you can take the stairway up,
01:31or you can shoot directly up because there is grating.
01:34So you can shoot right up into that guy.
01:37You don't even have to worry about going up there.
01:38The recess pit is there in order for the rocket's exhaust to escape through these giant vents.
01:44And that's where the button at the top of the rocket comes into play.
01:48What cool thing could we add to this map that's going to be really unique?
01:51It's turn on the rocket, fry everyone with the thrusters.
01:54So I'm running in this room, I get up the stairs, I come onto the balcony,
01:59I go up, on the other side of this we've got a ladder.
02:01I'm going to climb this ladder, get to the button,
02:05I'm going to hit it, boop!
02:07And I'm going to say, see ya!
02:09This whole room catches on fire.
02:12It doesn't take off, but...
02:14It does the job.

02:16Yeah, you're just seeing your score counter, boop, boop, boop, boop!
02:18Yep.
02:23Don't forget to press the button to turn everyone into crispy critters.
