00:03Hi everyone, Lauren here from Two Point Studios.
00:06Now I don't know if you know, but last week we were at EGX Resed
00:09where we did a developer session delving into how we put personality into the game.
00:14You can find the full video on our Facebook pages, on our Twitter page,
00:19but we've got a little cut down version that gives you everything you need to know
00:22and some really cool new gameplay.
00:24So let's check it out.
00:32Characters will interact with each other in different ways.
00:34They'll be looking at each other as they wander around.
00:36They'll go up to each other and have conversations.
00:39Some of them nice, some of them not so nice.
00:43All of the character interactions will have an effect on their moods.
00:47So if two people have an argument, that's going to leave them upset.
01:00Animations are a key part in bringing a game like this to life.
01:04The goal of the animators in this game
01:06is to get as much expression and character as we can
01:10for everybody within the game
01:12so that you genuinely care about all these little people
01:15both working at the hospital and visiting it to get treated.
01:27We want people in the world to have real personality
01:30by making them more individual.
01:32It helps create interesting stories and anecdotes as you play.
01:37Adding character traits creates some really interesting decisions
01:40when you're choosing who to hire
01:41and leads to some interesting emergent situations.
01:44Some of them good, some of them slightly more chaotic.
01:49You can get a real clash of personalities
01:52if you've got two argumentative people.
01:54They're just going to meet up and create friction.
01:59Oh!
02:12So don't forget you can head over to twopointhospital.com
02:15and you still have time to sign up for hospital pass
02:17and get your golden toilet.
02:19And do come and follow us on Twitter
02:21and like us on Facebook
02:22because we really love it when you guys do that.
02:25Thanks so much.
02:26See you next time.
02:26Bye.
