00:00The U.S. and Israel are continuing to strike Iran as the war enters Day 17,
00:06with the Allies reporting major successes on the ground and a significant decline in Iranian combat power.
00:12The U.S. military's Central Command says it's carrying out daily attacks against critical military sites and infrastructure,
00:19which it says are being used to target Allies in the region in retaliatory strikes, as well as vessels in
00:26the Strait of Hormuz.
00:27Attacks on the tight waterway have ground shipping and energy exports from the region to a halt
00:32and have sent oil prices in a spiral as Brent crude continues to trade at over $100 a barrel.
00:40U.S. President Donald Trump says he has demanded, quote,
00:43about seven countries to join a coalition to police the Strait
00:47and help escort stranded oil vessels out to resume energy supplies.
00:51It'd be interesting to see what country would help us with a very small endeavor,
00:58which is just keeping the Strait open, and by comparison, isn't small.
01:02It's small because Iran has very little firepower left.
01:06About seven, talking about seven.
01:08Uh-huh.
01:10Just remember that it's something that we don't need, and these countries don't need.
01:18Israel says it has so far struck over 2,000 targets and 10,000 munitions across Iran
01:23as it continues to identify new positions to attack daily.
01:43Meanwhile, Tehran is also claiming success on the ground, as it too says its attacks on Israel
01:49and across the region are proving effective.
01:52The death toll in Iran has now surged past 1,300,
01:56with officials noting that women and children make up at least 445 of the deceased.
02:02More than 820 people were killed in Lebanon, according to the Health Ministry,
02:07as the UN warns of an unfolding catastrophe,
02:10reporting that close to 1 million people have become displaced
02:14amid continued Israeli attacks on the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.
02:18In Israel, 12 people have been killed in the war so far,
02:22while the U.S. has suffered 13 fatalities of its service members in the region.
