President Donald Trump is signaling a renewed push for diplomacy with Iran as efforts intensify to restore stability around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical energy corridors. Trump has suggested that negotiations with Tehran are progressing and that a broader agreement could help reopen vital shipping routes and ease pressure on global energy markets. The shift comes after months of heightened regional tensions, raising questions about whether diplomacy can succeed where military confrontation failed. With global trade and oil supplies at stake, the outcome of talks could have major consequences for the Middle East and beyond.

00:00Do you want to say two or three days or two or three weeks?
00:03Two or three days.
00:04You'll be signing a peace agreement?
00:05No, no, we have a good chance of doing it.
00:07We should be able to do it in one hour, if you want to know the truth.
00:11What's the biggest sticking point right now?
00:12I don't think there are any sticking points.
00:15I think we're very close to having a very, very good, strong, powerful deal.
00:23If we go and bomb, which we can do very easily if we want,
00:27and we spend another two or three weeks bombing,
00:30they'll have nothing left whatsoever.
00:32But you won't have the straight open for months.
00:35If we do the bombing, you know, a lot of people are going to be killed.
00:38Who wants to do that? I don't.
00:40And we'll get, we'll have a signed document
00:42that's actually stronger than doing the bombing.
00:45What has proven to be a very powerful thing is the blockade.
00:49The blockades turned out to be much stronger than bombing.
00:53And it was really a combination.
00:55It was our initial thrust and then the blockade.
00:59But, you know, their economy is really suffering
01:01and they're going to make a deal.
01:03The Pressure tonight, did you enroll and talk about the Penn Station project at all?
01:10They are talking about it.
01:11We're trying to get the Penn Station project approved.
01:16And I know Lee's involved and Doug is involved.
01:20A lot of people are involved.
01:21It's a very big project.
01:23It's the rail station in New York.
01:26The Pressure tonight, did you and him talk about it at all?
01:29We did.
01:30We talked about it.
01:31He's a friend of mine for a long time.
01:32And he's a great guy.
01:34He's done a fantastic job.
01:35Secretary Duffy was also at the game tonight.
01:39He came over to pay his respects.
01:41As president, he came over.
01:43And we talked a little bit about the NBA and about the game and the game's changed.
01:49I said, it's gotten rougher, which is a good thing, not a bad thing.
01:53It's gotten rougher.
01:54When you look at the way they guard people now, I don't remember them doing that 10 years ago.
02:00And he knows a lot about basketball, but it's good.
02:05It's good for the game.
02:06It's a tougher game.
02:07The left wing stuff that they were getting criticized for?
02:10Well, it's a little left wing.
02:12I think so.
02:13It tends to be a little bit left wing.
02:14But it's great entertainment.
02:16Is there an oil or gasoline price, sir, in this conflict that would prompt you to release
02:22more from the strategic petroleum reserve?
02:24Well, we are.
02:24And we are releasing more from a lot of oils coming out of the Hormos Strait.
02:30A lot of it is coming out.
02:32And if you notice, the price is not very high, relatively speaking.
02:36I mean, it's lower than during the Biden administration.
02:39And he wasn't stopping a country from having a nuclear weapon.
02:43He didn't even know what we were talking about.
02:46Because they had a very failed, you know, the JCPOA was an absolutely failed agreement.
02:52There was a road to a nuclear weapon.
02:54See, we're the exact opposite.
02:56We are a road to absolutely no nuclear weapon.
02:59They were a road to a nuclear weapon.
03:02So we have that, you know, we're very far advanced.
03:06So a federal judge today struck down the $100,000 fee for the H-1B visa,
03:12saying you need congressional approval.
03:13Are you going to push for Congress to do this?
03:17These federal judges are really giving us a hard time.
03:21It's really crazy what's going on with the court system.
03:25They are giving us a very, very hard time.
03:27And they shouldn't be doing it.
03:29They're hurting our country very badly.
03:30Thank you very much, everybody.
