00:00Welcome back to another Luanty Mod Review.
00:02Today we are looking at the Object Tracking Tablet, which provides more of a server moderation
00:09type tool than something really designed for end users.
00:14And as you see on the screen here, it provides this radar slash compass HUD overview when
00:22we're holding the item.
00:23So we have this Entity Tracking Tablet.
00:25You literally just hold it.
00:26So make it your active item in the inventory.
00:29And then you can do some sorting as well.
00:32It is worth noting there is no craft recipe for this, as previously mentioned.
00:37It's more for development and server moderation type things.
00:41So it's really not intended for end user.
00:45It does have occasionally some weird flickers.
00:47I don't know exactly what causes that.
00:49Hopefully it doesn't show up on video too much because that would be pretty annoying.
00:54So here we can see that this is picking up all of the entities.
00:59Mobs have a red circle and then dropped items have a yellow circle.
01:03I'm the little green dot in the middle with that white line coming off of me.
01:06The white line pretty much is showing the direction I'm looking.
01:11If I was in a multiplayer scenario, I think the other players would be green dots as well.
01:16But I don't know that for sure.
01:19And now, right now, of course, this is quite, quite messy.
01:23So let's go ahead and do a little sorting.
01:25So if I go ahead and right click in the air, I can enter a string to search for.
01:32And here I can find there's a dropped orange tulip around here someplace.
01:36Hello, cat.
01:37I'm looking for a dropped orange tulip.
01:39There we go.
01:43You'll notice I can point at it.
01:45Well, maybe you won't notice that.
01:46Can I?
01:46There we go.
01:47I can point at it.
01:48It pulls up the text that I'm interacting with it.
01:52But I can't actually pick it up until I take that off as my active item.
02:00Now, I'm still filtering.
02:02It shows you on the screen.
02:03Is there any way that I can get my...
02:05Okay, yeah.
02:05Can I see my mouse?
02:06Yeah.
02:07So it tells you count of objects, what you're filtering for.
02:09And then it tells you your username, which I don't really know what the necessity of that is.
02:16There are no more tulips.
02:17So let's go ahead and change this to, I don't know, cat.
02:21Okay.
02:21Well, what's the cat called?
02:25Animal kitten.
02:26Type animal.
02:27Okay.
02:28Well, let's try this.
02:30Okay.
02:31Filter of animal doesn't work.
02:34Kitten does, though.
02:36So here is a kitten.
02:37The distance is 8.2 nodes, and the height difference is 0.3, which we're both standing on the same
02:44plane.
02:44But if I jump, or actually if I climb on top of these bushes here real quick.
02:50I am now the kitten's 1.7 nodes below me.
02:56And if I go ahead and change this to monster, we'll see there is a meese monster 55 nodes below
03:03me and a stone monster 51 nodes below me.
03:05I can't even tell there is a cave below me.
03:09Minimam is disabled, so I can't see that.
03:11But there are some monsters.
03:12Now, it is worth noting, if I go ahead and capitalize the emmon monster, it won't pull them up.
03:19So it is a case-sensitive search.
03:21So if I do, I see a sapling in the distance here, right?
03:25If I try sapling, it doesn't work.
03:27But if I do sapling with a capital, there we go.
03:35There are some dropped bush saplings.
03:38And I can use this.
03:40Again, I can't pick them up while I'm holding it.
03:43But I can use it to locate the items.
03:47Here's one in the snow.
03:49That might be the last of them, actually.
03:52It does appear to be the case.
03:55To clear it, you just search for nothing, and it filters and shows you all items.
04:04And if you are playing on a different sized screen than I am, you may find yourself with the display
04:14not being great.
04:15So I think this is going to be the default, which feels a little large to me.
04:21But that may default to something very differently for you.
04:26You can change the size of it simply by doing set underscore hud underscore scale and then a decimal value.
04:38Now, of course, the object filter and single player should pretty much line up to these three areas for it
04:49to be optimal.
04:53So in my case, 0.75 is really a little bit too small.
04:58It probably should be like 0.8.
05:01No, 0.8 is a little too great.
05:04So it's going to be 7.75.
05:067.75 doesn't feel quite there.
05:097.7 is a little too small.
05:11Let's try 7.9.
05:137.9 is a little too big.
05:16Let's try 7.8.
05:18You know what? 7.8 is going to work.
05:218.8 is going to work a bit of blinking.
05:23I don't, again, know what's causing that.
05:26But we have some white sheep.
05:27We have some orkies.
05:29Some meese monsters.
05:30There's a chicken out over some place this way.
05:36It must be like right on the shore.
05:41Chicken, where are you?
05:42There it is.
05:43There's the chicken.
05:46so this is quite useful if you are doing oh i don't know well let's just do cow so one
05:53cow
05:54has spawned in so if you were developing a mob and you wanted to test it test out its spawn
06:05rate
06:05or you know how many of them would spawn in an area before the the spawning system said hey
06:13there's already enough of them let's not spawn anymore this was a useful way to just well the
06:19cow just despawned to find your items so let's go ahead and do sheep there we go oh there's actually
06:26four different sheep out here there's a couple different colors of them it does tell you how
06:32many objects there are so i can easily tell at a glance hey there's four sheep total
06:38and now there's three because one of them must have despawned uh it's really useful for like
06:43monsters and things underground just to see well i guess not to see because they're underground and
06:50you can't see them but to get in a quick overview of how your entities are existing or if you
06:57again
06:58a lot of developer stuff if you're doing something that has their nodes but the nodes are spawning
07:04entities as a part of the node so like say an animated node that has well just use like a
07:11sharpening stone for example so you have the housing of the stone that's the node but then the actual
07:17stone piece itself is an entity and you can interact with it and the entity will spin or whatever it
07:22could
07:22be anything it's an easy way to tell hey is my entity duplicating itself inside of itself and to tell
07:31you would just pull this up and look at it and say okay well i see one listing but it
07:35says there's you know
07:36seven objects all seven of those objects must be existing in the same space um i am assuming that the
07:45text
07:45would get not necessarily bold but you would notice if there was multiple stacked on top of each other
07:52maybe not though in this example i don't have a you know a perfect existing in the same place
08:00same thing um i can drop multiple of an item but that will result it's like i just dropped three
08:11of
08:11those saplings um and now if i go ahead and do
08:17it'll only say there's one sapling because there is only one entity there and the entity just has a
08:23count of three in it so that's a little different than having three actual entities in the exact same
08:31place that aren't combined into an entity if what i'm saying is making any sense so useful for testing
08:40handy to find you know where animals are or if you were on a server and this did work with
08:47other
08:47players and you're underground you could find other players quite easily um again you can't really get
08:54it unless you have the give command but you could of course always make there a recipe for it or
09:01add it
09:01as a drop to something so there are ways around that of course not anything too super crazy or difficult
09:09i think that really is gonna wrap things up here so this was the object tracking tablet you can find
09:17on the content database via the in-game browser or on the actual internet itself i'll have all the
09:24links in my website as well which will be linked down in the description below if you would rather
09:28obtain it that way thanks for watching and i will see you next time are you looking for custom models
09:35to bring your mod to life i can create static or animated meshes for your project or maybe you need
09:41some help with code textures or voice talent as it so happens i'm in the freelance business if it relates
