00:00So this week, we're going to focus a little bit on how to track somebody's fertility period,
00:05especially in women, when your menstrual period is a little bit irregular.
00:16What are the sort of like problems that resulted in menstrual period become irregular?
00:21Some people are naturally born with hormonal changes, which is a bit irregular.
00:25Conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome and all these genetically determined hormonal changes
00:33are actually difficult to predict and difficult to change.
00:37So other things such as thyroid problems or excessive exercise or even malnutrition
00:45can actually result in irregular period.
00:48So in order to enhance this, perhaps get those things sorted out first.
00:53For example, increase nutrition, live healthily, exercise more
00:58and also actually have a better sleep pattern to avoid stress
01:03so that the period can actually be more regularised.
01:07However, despite doing all those healthy manoeuvre
01:12and you can't still regularise the actual period,
01:15then there are several manoeuvres you can do.
01:18Number one is actually tracking the amount of the cervical secretions
01:24because during ovulation, the secretions in the cervical area
01:28actually comes up with a bit of egg white kind of like texture of secretion
01:33and that itself can give you a subtle sign of ovulation is about to begin
01:38and actually two or three days prior to that, just engage in more sexual activities.
01:43Other thing which is tracking the body temperature
01:46because before the menses, the temperature actually drops
01:50and then afterwards go up by about 0.5 degrees.
01:55If the bodily temperature goes up, it's a good sign of ovulation has occurred.
02:00The other thing which is buying a device in order to find out whether LH,
02:05which is luteinising hormone, goes up or not
02:08and that kit will give you some idea.
02:11But other sign or like telltale sign of someone is ovulating
02:15will be nipple tenderness, bloaty sensation, lower abdominal discomfort
02:20and also slightly increase in libido
02:23and that's the time when ovulation occurs.
02:26So if you can track all that and live a healthier lifestyle,
02:29plenty of fluid, plenty of exercise, less stress, more balanced diet
02:34and also always have plenty of sleep,
02:37then you know that you're on good track in order to get into a fertility year.
02:43For the following week, from looking at women increasing the fertility,
02:48we're looking at men.
