00:00Hey, I got to ask you about this week's news, and that is the Max Crosby thing.

00:05You signed a contract, or, you know, you basically agreed to a contract on Friday.
00:12All of a sudden, the physicals, they come back, and boy, I think, Chris, it's more to me,
00:18like it looked like Baltimore had buyer's remorse because it was a meniscus injury.
00:23I talked to Dr. David Chow about it, and as you know, covering this league a long time,
00:28that's kind of a maintenance thing there when you're talking about meniscus.
00:32I mean, what was your takeaway, especially with an organization, Chris, like Baltimore,
00:36that's got such a great reputation on how they deal with people and how people look at them?
00:41That was a really wild show going on in Baltimore.
00:45Yeah, the time we're talking, I do think the league should investigate.
00:48I mean, I've heard what Baltimore said in the Raiders, and I did a couple of his games,
00:52and even later in the year with Crosby, and he wasn't missing a beat.
00:55I mean, we knew, the guy never does, but we knew he was going to have this type of surgery,

01:00I'm not a doctor, and if he was good enough to play for the Raiders,
01:04why isn't he good enough to play for some other team?
01:06I understand why they were making the trade.
01:09And then they go out, and they get Trey Hendrickson to help their pass rush,
01:13but the Ravens keep their top two picks.
01:15So, yeah, I think it was, there's something there that just doesn't seem to fit.
01:21However, you know, they have this league signing dates.
01:25They have these specific dates, and I think part of the problem,
01:29and I wonder if somebody, you know, if you get played on these,
01:31and if agents and or, I'm not accusing anybody,
01:34but people leak the word out that, hey, we got a deal in place.
01:37Well, coaches have changed their mind at the last moment,
01:39becoming a head coach in the NFL and switching.
01:42So, you're allowed to do that, but this is an organization,
01:44if you had an agreement in principle and a handshake,
01:46and I know nothing's official until that signing date with contracts, right,
01:51when the league allows that, you know,
01:53then I think if you can't be taken at your word in this,
01:56then people are going to have an issue with that.
01:58So, we'll see where it goes.
02:00I think the Raiders are the, you know, on the losing end of this.
02:03I mean, he'll still give their best unless there's some other trade
02:06that takes place in the meantime if other teams are interested.
02:09And I think I saw where the Cowboys are already out of, you know,
02:13they were in before, but they're already out of that mix.
02:15And that's the problem, too.
02:16A lot of other teams have moved on to fill other things or made a deal.
02:20You know, Dallas made the Rashawn Gary deal with the Packers.
02:22So, I think they have to bottle those things up before information gets out.
