00:05Guerra, the owner of DG Homes, a real estate company with housing developments in several parts of the island,
00:12was gunned down along Oropoge Road, Sandy Grandy, shortly before 5 p.m.
00:18A senior investigator tells TV6 Guerra was exiting his vehicle to enter his DG Homes office
00:24when four heavily armed masked men confronted him and opened fire.
00:30Senior Superintendent Christopher Pampanet, in a brief phone conversation,
00:34said Guerra was pronounced dead at the Sandy Grandy Hospital.
00:38Sources say that prior to his arrest, Guerra hired two armed bodyguards who accompanied him wherever he went.
00:46However, they recently stopped working for him.
00:49Sources believe Guerra was being monitored.
00:53On January 2nd this year, Guerra was released after being detained for nearly six weeks
00:58under a state of emergency preventative detention order, which was subsequently revoked.
01:04He had been accused of being part of a criminal syndicate plotting to kill a government minister.
01:10In late 2025, he was accused by authorities of leading an organized crime group involved in illegal quarrying and other
01:20activities.
01:21He and 17 workers were specifically charged in October 2025 with unlawful processing of aggregate without a license.
01:30Guerra later challenged these allegations, retaining a British King's Council to represent him.
01:37The High Court previously upheld an injunction he filed against police officers
01:41for violating his constitutional rights during searches of his business.
