00:16She went to the Olympics for slopestyle, shifted gears to freeride and has been blowing the doors
00:22off, made finals in her very first year and now finds herself in Alaska. What do you think that
00:28the mental state is after watching, you know, we've had five riders down. One of them has made
00:33it clean. Well, you mentioned her Olympic career, Derek, and it's clear to me with some of these
00:39athletes, just the way that they are such dialed competitors and they know how to get out of their
00:46heads, into their bodies and onto course, regardless of what's going on around them, even if it's
00:51total mayhem. Well, Lou airing stylishly off the cornice at the very top and already has stacking
00:58up features as she is staying over here way further on the rider's left, holding onto it
01:03though. She's got control using that powder to slow herself down. So a really good top section
01:09and a huge air from Lou Berrin. She landed right in someone else's bomb hole, but she managed to
01:15regroup there. A heavy landing for Lou, but holding onto it. She is mocking through here, Derek. That bomb
01:24hole was so big. I thought it was a rock. The way she held onto that is unbelievable. Such
01:30leg strength. Those hours in the gym really paying off for her right now. And she is hauling through
01:36this roll into the bottom section of this face. Yeah. And this is where it starts to get heavy
01:43again. You feel in that flat section, like, okay, I've done it, but it gets real. And we've seen this
01:48section. Take a few other riders down. Lou Berrin making short work. No! She goes down as well,
01:54getting gobbled up by that slough, but she's still got both her skis on, still launching off that air.
02:01What a bucking bronco ride for Lou Berrin. What a recovery on that bottom air there and managing
02:08to just stand back up and send her off that last hit. She was skiing so strong down through the
02:17slough
02:18in that bottom little coulee there, Derek, and then found herself down, but back up.
02:26Well, we saw Lou with that nice pop. She's got almost like the bald eagle style. We are in Alaska.
02:34A condor pop. And then getting control back, using the powder. I mean, so much of this was so good
02:41for Lou. And then she just put herself right into the heaviest landing. Oh my. That was not an easy
02:50one to hold on to for the folks at home. That is serious strength. Yeah. She got bucked there by
02:58by someone else's track in the slough. Stands up. Wow. Doesn't even speed check. Just launches off
03:05that lower air. So the judges are, they're in a bit of a pickle because they've got some stuff that
03:10they need to dock, but they also have a lot to reward in that run. I feel. I mean, aside
03:15for that
03:16one, I mean, call it a buck check. That was a pretty smooth run.
03:22So Sibylle Blanjean, I mean, this is just goofy. Like the only woman in the entire category to go
03:29clean top to bottom. We're going to see, I think, a decent score. I don't like to put any numbers
03:34out there in speculation because the judges, they're watching through binoculars. They're
03:38looking at details. We're cheerleaders here in the commentary booth and are cheering so hard
03:43for all these riders. So we'll see. They're probably weighing that against, against the run
03:48of, um, of Zoe Delzoppo, who is currently sitting in second. I have to think that the
03:53clean perfection of Sibylle Blanjean's run is not going to be troubled. Although the aggression
03:58that Lou showed, I don't know. I can't even dig into it. It is a tough one, Derek, but rules
04:04are
04:04rules. And I think that the, the crash at the bottom there, albeit recovered and able to send it off
04:10that bottom and manage it so well, may, yeah, there's going to be a control dock. There's
04:16going to be a control dock for sure for, for that. The rest of Lou Barron's run absolutely
04:21masterful. And I think important also to recognize the entire ski women's field has never skied
04:28in Alaska before. So they are throwing down out there 72, six, seven. So just behind Sibylle
