00:00Last season, the iconic pool table scene had Brie and Beatty fans screaming.
00:05This season, it will, of course, be the iconic motorcycle scene.
00:21What kinds of conversations did you have with Ben,
00:24and did you choose where that major moment was taking place?
00:27Because I believe that you chose the pool table.
00:30We did. We like to, like, we like to choose our surfaces.
00:35We're pretty soon we're going to run out of creative ideas.
00:37I don't know how we're going to top now the motorcycle.
00:40No, that one, the motorcycle was the writers.
00:44Ben and I really do get involved with the writers when it comes to a lot of the physical scenes
00:47with Brie and Beatty,
00:48because we feel like we really get them.
00:49And so if there's something in the script that feels like, ah, that's too boring or they wouldn't do that,
00:55like, you know, they hold down the spice.
00:57They're exciting.
00:57A lot of it was, like, the logistics of, like, how do you have sex on a motorcycle without it
01:02tipping over?
01:03You know, it was, like, a lot of that stuff.
01:06But we were really excited about it.
01:07We felt like that choice that Brie makes to really say, finally, finally, like, I choose you.
01:15Let it be me. Let's do this.
01:16It needed to be epic.
01:18It needed to be charged sexually.
01:19It needed to be visually beautiful.
01:20Once we figured out the basic logistics, everybody knows just to let us do our thing.
01:26Again, like, Ben and I both are so emotionally connected to our characters, and we're really rooting for Brie and
01:31Brady.
01:31And so we're always excited to work with each other, always excited when there's, like, a big iconic makeout scene
01:38because we know what we're giving them is, like, another chance to connect in a really powerful way.
01:42Well, you mentioned the pool table scene.
01:44Obviously, we have reached the point in the interview where I ask you about the iconic motorcycle scene.
01:50Tell me everything about that.
01:52What was your reaction to it?
01:53Were you and Zippy involved in choosing the surface, like, you were involved in choosing the pool table?
02:00The entire time as we were getting scripts, I was like, are we not doing Brie and Brady?
02:05Like, where is this going?
02:07And they're like, no, no, no, we're saving it for the end of the season, and we're going to have
02:11this epic kind of pool table-esque scene.
02:14And they hadn't quite figured out where it was going to be.
02:18I think we were all kind of trying to make it something that felt similar to the pool table where
02:23it's not planned, and it feels very, like, just raw and in the moment.
02:28And, yeah, the bike came up, and I had no idea at the time that it would be so uncomfortable
02:37because the body doesn't naturally, like, arc that way.
02:43And so I'm, like, humped back all the way over.
02:47And Zippy had it easy.
02:48She's just, like, right up there, like, I'm part of the motorbike.
02:51My back, the next day, for the next couple weeks, my back was, like, in shambles, and my abs, I
02:57don't think, got a better workout ever.
02:59So I should have done that prepping for the scene, actually.
03:03Bike, like, secured to the ground, or just that little kickstand was going on?
03:07Yeah, kind of shot it in two pieces.
03:08So the first part where it was wide, it wasn't.
03:11And then once they moved in, they had, like, straps.
03:16It was totally strapped down, so no falling off the bike.
03:19But, like, in real life, you're, like, I don't know if that's possible.
