00:00So I know that you and Maya, you guys play a volatile couple in the movie.
00:04What kind of went into you preparing for that role?
00:07Well, Graham Parks, the director, has been my good buddy since high school.
00:11And so what's great about that when you work with somebody that you know and you love is like,
00:16we got to talk about this movie for, you know, like three years before we made it.
00:20And we talked about the character and we talked about the relationship and, you know,
00:24our own experiences going into that.
00:26And so it kind of felt like a seamless preparation.
00:29Like, by being able to kind of like, you know, kind of create the silhouette of a character initially with
00:37that much leeway,
00:38you just kind of are able to step into it.
00:40It was something very kind of close to home in a lot of ways.
00:42And so it was like, and there's so much improv and Maya is such an exceptional improver.
00:49There's so much that you kind of just have to go from the gut and you kind of got to
00:52let go of that preparation once you get in there,
00:54which was part of what I think is the magic that you see on the screen.
00:58Did you and Maya kind of bond over having famous parents?
01:03We had a lot more stuff to bond with initially.
01:07And then, of course, we did end up talking about that.
01:09But yeah, we're so similar in so many different ways.
01:12I mean, I think we have like a very similar kind of like how we view the industry and how
01:19we view what we do in this kind of very kind of,
01:21I don't know, we're both musicians.
01:24And then, of course, yes, there is that.
01:27But also in that, we had very different experiences, you know.
01:32All parents are different no matter what they do.
01:34We love you.
