00:00Gossip, it replenishes your electrolytes.
00:03It's good crack.
00:10Se hai un marito o quello che desideri, io ti posso aiutare.
00:13Siamo amici, no?
00:17Amici.
00:18I want to ask this to Lady Whistledown herself.
00:21Yes, of course.
00:21Why do we love gossip so much?
00:24Gossip, it replenishes your electrolytes.
00:28It's good crack.
00:30Yeah, I think most people do love gossip.
00:32People like to say they don't.
00:33I'm like, you're lying, at least I'll admit I do like it.
00:36It's why I love reality television, because it's like consensual gossip.
00:39So people are like, here's my life, and here's this person who's been cheated on,
00:43and they were having an affair, and they were doing this.
00:45It's like, a scandal, right?
00:48Colin says that living for the estimation of others is a trap.
00:51Once you break free, the world opens up.
00:54Yeah, that's it.
00:55Do you agree with him?
00:56Absolutely.
00:56Is it true?
00:57Yeah, I think so.
00:58And I think it's even more relevant today than it was back then.
01:02It's a real beautiful moment within the show, because it's like he's giving advice that
01:08really he needs to receive himself and take on board, which I just think is genius from
01:13Jess, that she's writing these little Easter eggs in, little comments that he's making to
01:18But don't you find that you do that in your real life as well?
01:20Oh, yeah.
01:20You're saying something, you're like, oh, you should really take that advice, actually.
01:23But then you convince yourself, you go, no, no, they need that advice, but I don't actually
01:28need to do that.
01:29Totally.
01:30Yeah, no, I think I do.
01:31I agree with him.
01:32There's a lot that I agree with Colin, but that statement particularly, yeah.
01:35We have to talk a little bit about the green dress.
01:38Yeah.
01:38How amazing is it?
01:40Oh, it was incredible.
01:41I have so many beautiful dresses this season.
01:43That one was special because there was so much of a focus on it being her like transformation
01:48moment.
01:49But if you could see the amount of people that go into making these things happen, like
01:52there's a team of six people who their job is to make Penn's dresses.
01:56That's what they do.
01:57That dress had to have a detachable skirt because, you know, it gets ripped and these things happen
02:02to it.
02:02And it's just like in that moment she's trying to say this is who I am.
02:06Look at me now.
02:07Like I'm not this little girl in my yellow.
02:09I'm a woman.
02:10And but it's interesting because she gets the dress, but she's not done any of the work
02:13to make herself feel comfortable in the dress.
02:16So it's quite a funny juxtaposition.
02:18Yeah.
02:18Colin says that you can learn charm and he gives Penelope some masterclass.
02:26Yeah.
02:27Yeah.
02:27Can you give us some advice?
02:29How can we learn charm?
02:31I think what's really interesting in the show is that he actually, he really doesn't
02:36give her like specific advice or anything to say.
02:40It's more about like finding what's already within of like finding that confidence within
02:46yourself and talking about things that you're passionate about and you're interested in and
02:50like being able to be yourself around people.
02:53I guess that's what he tries to bring out of her.
02:55He tries to get her to relax and it's not necessarily being like, say this, stand like
03:00like this.
03:00It's just like trying to own being yourself a bit more.
03:04I guess that's the lesson that we can kind of all take from it.
03:07Like being yourself is really cool and really like attractive.
03:11Totally.
03:12Was he a good teacher?
03:15I think he was, but I think she was an even better student because I think she surpasses
03:19him quite quickly.
03:19She suddenly overtakes him and he's like, hang on.
03:21And that's his theme throughout the season that he's like, this is how you do this.
03:24She's like, gotcha.
03:25And then gets really good at it.
03:27Yeah.
03:28You were saying that a little bit.
03:29I think that this season is really about how to become ourselves.
03:35Yeah.
03:35It's not easy.
03:36Yeah.
03:37How can we do that in your opinion?
03:39It's hard.
03:40It's a day to day thing.
03:41And I think, you know, like in, you know, society in Bridgerton, the Regency times, they
03:47were, you know, all on display for the Queen and other balls.
03:49And then now we have social media or like, like us, you're on the television and that's
03:54an excellent level of like scrutiny.
03:56But then I think just, yeah, getting away from all of that and feeling good in yourself
04:02and your heart and soul, like being good with who you are when the doors are closed
04:06and like, yeah.
04:08I think surrounding yourself with people that support the version of you that feels most
04:13like yourself.
04:13Yeah.
04:14Like finding that, finding that network of people that value you just as you are.
04:18You don't have to be, it doesn't have to be a performance.
04:21You have to be anything that you're not.
04:22No.
04:22Once you find that, then you start to value your qualities.
04:26Yeah.
04:27Yeah.
04:27As the Queen says, a person who performs for herself and not for everybody.
04:32Exactly.
04:33Yeah.
04:33Very good.
04:34Yeah.
04:34Thank you so much.
04:35Thank you so much.
04:36Nice to speak to you.
04:48I like it.
04:49And I just watch it.
04:52I want to see how I like it.
04:53And the prettier things.
05:01I can experience it.
05:01Good.
05:02Glad I can see my kids with some people.
05:02Before I leave the door from Windsor, they're worried.
05:02Grazie.
