00:00What would it mean to finish the job?
00:02I mean, it would just add icing on the cake.
00:04I mean, I would love to beat St. Anthony's again and win the chip.
00:09We haven't won an allied chip since 2014, I believe, so that would be an amazing experience.
00:14Our team is great. We have a lot of skilled guys.
00:17A lot of skilled guys that can score.
00:18Deke with the puck.
00:20So I think our goalie will lock it down for us and we just need to put points on the
00:25board.
00:25So the seniors picked the stalls for everyone.
00:27It goes by years.
00:28So the captain's stall is really just an honor to be in that stall right next to Garen's old stall.
00:35So it's an honor to sit there.
00:37So you just want to, I mean, when I was a freshman, I would look at that stall and be
00:41like,
00:41I want to be there someday and that's what happens.
00:44So I'm really grateful and honored to be a captain on this team.
00:48Garen, he was a great captain.
00:50I mean, I came to this team.
00:52He told the coach, told his parents that he loved the freshman that year and that he was just, he
01:00was a great, great kid.
01:01Great, great captain.
01:02Showed us what we need to do on and off the ice.
01:04He was a great guy.
01:05If you need a ride, I'll pick you up.
01:07If you, if you needed a spot on the ice, show them what to do, what the drill is.
01:12He would always, he would run the practice basically.
01:14He would show everyone what to do.
01:16And he held every Marines tradition.
01:19And he was, he was really great captain.
01:21Great guy.
01:21When he was a senior, I was a freshman and he passed away.
01:24Every April, April 11th is G2H day gear.
01:27Everyone comes down.
01:28It's an amazing day.
01:29The guardians play like the FDMI or something.
01:32It was a great time.
01:33It's, it was an honor to share next to him.
01:36I mean, when I would sit in the freshman stalls, just look at all the seniors and all those stalls.
01:42I just wanted to be one of those today and it's a real honor to sit there.
01:46The nerves are up a little bit, but I'm definitely amped to go out there and play my hardest in
01:52my last game of the season,
01:53last game of my high school career and leave it all out there.
01:57That was probably one of the most dramatic parts.
01:59I think how none of us really knew that it went in until like Liam and the ref,
02:05they both started like skating away and we saw the ref's hand go down.
02:08And that's when we like knew it was in and it was just a crazy moment.
02:14What was it like before that?
02:15I mean, I watched double OT in the playoffs and I get nervous.
02:19I can only imagine playing it.
02:21Yeah, for sure.
02:22It was super nervous.
02:23Like, um, it was, I don't know how to explain, but it was, it was for sure like very scary.
02:30We thought we had it for sure.
02:33Like we believed in ourselves the whole way and we, we gave it all we got.
02:37And we, we really thought we were going to come out with the win and we did.
02:41I mean, I want to win it more than anything.
02:43And, uh, yeah, I mean, last game, it's really sad.
02:47I've seen a lot of people come and go from this, this team.
02:50And, um, I just want to end on a good note and take the, take the trophy home.
02:54Oh, all right.
02:55If something has gone.
02:58It's a little, not fine.
02:58When there's a little exhibited.
02:59Right.
