00:41kinakausap nila ang manufacturers at retailers na huwag magtaas basta-basta ng presyo.
00:46Minomonitor po namin ito on a regular basis kasi meron kaming 18 regional offices nationwide
00:53and on regular times, minomonitor po nila ito on a daily basis.
00:58So in times like this, like crisis and calamities, we continue to monitor but mas mahigpit na po kami dito.
01:06Sa ngayon raw, may sapat pang supply ang bansa ng basic commodities na aabot sa dalawang buwan
01:12at ito ang mahigpit nilang binabantayan.
01:14We have to make sure that the prices are down for now.
01:18They have informed us that they have inventory that will last for the next two months.
01:26Pero nakikita ng DTI na ang posibleng taas presyo sa bilihin maguhugat sa gastusin sa logistics delivery
01:32at hindi sa mismong presyo ng mga produkto.
01:35Kaya naman humihingi ang DTI ng pansamantalang libreng toll fee para sa mga nagdi-deliver ng essential goods.
01:41We also recommend the temporary moratorium on toll fee for cargo and delivery vehicles
01:47transporting basic necessities and prime commodities products traversing the major expressway.
01:54Makikipagbulong din ang DTI sa 30 logistic firms para mapanatiling mababa ang delivery fees.

02:07where we work closely with them to make sure that kahit may calamities or may crisis,
02:14they keep their prices mababa po.
02:17So we will meet with them again this week to make sure that yung impact nitong crisis na ito

02:28Pero ang Department of Energy, makakatulong din daw na payagan muna ang importasyon ng biofuels
02:34para mapababa ang pump prices ng langit sa bansa.
02:37Sa pagdinig naman ng Senate Committee on Energy, ayon kay DOE Secretary Sharon Garin,
02:42sa ngayon kasi, sa batas, kailangan muna ubusin ang lokal na supply ng biofuel bago makapag-import.
02:49Pero lumalabas na mas mahal ang lokal kesa sa imported na biofuels
02:53dahil 75 pesos ang lokal at 37 pesos naman ang imported.
02:57The proposal is to allow importation if the price of the domestic is 5% more than the price of
03:09fuel, Madam Chair.
03:11So may limit naman siya and we limit it to a certain period para hindi naman siya institutionalized na only
03:19on certain circumstances lang.
03:21So the proposal is allow it when the price is more than 5% of the pure fuel, pure gas,
03:31only to a maximum of one year. Hopefully it will be shorter, Madam Chair.
03:37Pero umaalma ang mga magsasaka, lalo na ng tubo, dahil sila naman raw ang malulugi.
03:42Ayon naman kay Senator Pia Cayetano, kailangan balansihin ang mga industriya.
03:47Kahit sa pag-suspinde ng excise tax, nais nilang masiguro na kung may mawawala na 136 billion pesos na revenue,
03:55kikita pa rin ang gobyerno.
03:57At ito raw ay sa pamamagitan ng value-added tax.

04:04hindi nila opsyon na galawin ang VAT ng langis.
