00:04I play Chenaulte, and she is Sanderson's, who's played by Erin Eckhart, she's Sanderson's
00:12girlfriend. And she's a luxury, just like the rest of Sanderson's life in a lot of ways.
00:20She also has a mind of her own, and she's a free-spirited girl who's maybe slightly,
00:27I don't know, caught up in the world and caught up in the life that she has found herself and
00:32gained
00:33for herself in a lot of ways. These two characters, Sanderson and Chenaulte together, really embody
00:42that thing, that she's a piece of what he owns. She's a piece of the American dream herself.
00:51And he is this smooth-talking, handsome, witty, you know, businessman who seemingly has it
01:00all.
01:04She becomes interested in Kemp from the second she sees him. And I think that when they meet
01:10outside of the party on the lake, I think she falls in love with him right away.
01:16And Kemp, being our protagonist, is taken with her as well, and kind of together they go through
01:26this whirlwind of events that ultimately leads to everything changing in their life and on
01:34this island with them.
01:39Johnny Depp plays Kemp, and I know that they were close, Huntress Thompson and Johnny Depp. I know that
01:46they were close, or were close, and I know that he's a fan of his work, and I really can't
01:53imagine what I
01:54would say it is for him. But Johnny working on this and playing Huntress Thompson again, I think, is really
02:01important. And it's an honor to work with somebody who really knows more than anything what he's
02:12doing and why he's doing it.
02:17Aaron Eckhart is Sanderson, and I think that there's just a real elegance about who he is. He steps on
02:24set, and you
02:25really couldn't, I don't think he could write that. He has an air about him in this role, and he
02:32just, he
02:33fills the shoes. He really does, he fits the role perfectly. He brings a real element of class into it
02:39that
02:40could probably be done horribly wrong if it weren't for him. I'm really, I love watching him work. He's something.
02:54Bruce Robinson's a director, and I think that, I don't really, I don't think I'm the first to say this,
03:00but he
03:00brings something truly authentic to the style, the Hunter S. Thompson style of life. I mean, there's something
03:08truly authentic about the way he reads it, and read the book, and obviously wrote the script. And I think
03:14that
03:16I don't really know how or when he became involved in it, obviously, but there really
03:23couldn't be a better person for the job. I couldn't trust somebody's opinion more. Bruce is, from day one,
03:28since I met him, has been crucial in developing Chanoa, obviously, but also crucial in developing
03:35how I read her, how I carry her, how I wear her.
03:42Well, Colleen Atwood is a costume wardrobe veteran, and I, it was kind of, it's kind of interesting
03:50when you have, I guess, that side of the business. When somebody gains so much popularity and notoriety
03:58that you're kind of taken aback or a little while starstruck when you meet them. It's interesting
04:03to be on that side of the camera and still have that much notoriety when you're, I don't
04:09know, I was really excited to work with her, actually. And let's just say that I think she's
04:16living up to her reputation.
04:21Anybody who's read the book kind of gets a feel for the, all the colors that are making up this
04:28story, this particular story, but it's also, of course, done with impeccable, our impeccable
04:34sense of class and style and art. And I think that there's something truly unique about this
04:40project, and I think everyone that's working on it feels the exact same way.
