00:00Bam is not an offensive guy.
00:03We don't have a guy that just goes out and gets buckets.
00:0717 a game is Gabe Vincent.
00:10He is an all-star basketball player.
00:13He is a mediocre scorer.
00:17He's a mediocre at best.
00:19Mediocre.
00:21He's just not that threat on the offensive side.
00:23Bam doesn't even look at the rim anymore.
00:25He just doesn't even worry about that side of the basketball court.
00:29I said he's going to do exactly what Bam does,
00:31and he's going to get in the high teams.
00:32That's not impressive.
00:33You're making $50 million a year,
00:35and you're going to consistently give us 17?
00:38I don't think that's acceptable.
00:39He's a damn good quality NBA guy.
00:44That's it.
00:45When guys are looking at their schedule, they say,
00:47Bam, we play Bam on Friday.
00:49Cool, we got to get ready?
00:51No, Solana, they don't.
00:52Bam for Embiid straight up, Hawk, you're taking that?
00:55Yeah.
00:56Bam's turning into a hustle man, rebound master.
01:00He's an energy guy, hustle man.
01:03He said, how does Bam go whatever in the game without scoring 20 points?
01:08Be Bam Adebayo.
01:10If you think the Heat see Bam Adebayo, a one-time all-star,
01:15as untouchable, and you are out of your mind if you think that.
01:23Bam Adebayo is going to the Hall of Fame.
01:25He's on track to be a Hall of Famer, and it's not even close.
01:29I don't think it's a discussion.
01:31That's crazy.
01:40Yesterday.
01:42Here are some of the player props for tonight.
01:45Would you like to guess Bam Adebayo?
01:49Bam's up to 20.
01:50I'll go 20 and a half for Bam.
01:5223 and a half.
01:54Hmm.
01:57Too high.
01:58It's begging me to bet the under tonight.
02:01It is begging me to bet the under on Bam.
02:09We get underway.
02:10The Heat moving left to right in front of our broadcast position.
02:13Bam with the rock fed by Pella.
02:14To the right block, mid-post, bouncing in on Sarr.
02:17Fade away from the dots.
02:18Nothing but that for the captain to start our hoop party tonight.
02:21Three ball.
02:22Bam's on fire.
02:23Knocking it down from the right corner pocket.
02:25That man wants to get to 15,000 tonight.
02:28And Bam has incorporated the three in his game.
02:31You don't want to take it that shot.
02:32Incorporated or does he just shoot it more?
02:33Because it doesn't go in.
02:35Cooper the best.
02:36Here's Bam for three.
02:37Nothing but net.
02:38Bam raising his hands to the heavens.
02:42Keep the blessings flowing.
02:45Let our cup runneth over with the captain tickling twine all night long.
02:50He's got 27.
02:52Maybe on.
02:53Puts it in the hands of Bam.
02:54Why not?
02:55He's going up, scooping up off glass.
02:57And one for the Heat, captain.
03:00Don't stop until you decide you have enough.
03:04He's got 42.
03:06We don't have a guy that just goes out and gets buckets.
03:10Teller.
03:11Seating Bam.
03:13They post to the right side.
03:15Double team comes, of course.
03:16He'll drive now and throw it down.
03:19Oh, Cass knows what he's doing.
03:21He's like, I'm playing with a monster.
03:23Bam being himself is going to make him nuts.
03:25The average is 20 points.
03:27He's crowded.
03:27I mean, that's...
03:28He is a 16-point guy.
03:31A miss.
03:31Kick ahead to Bam.
03:32Get up two hands.
03:33Throw down for 52.
03:36Bam now joins the great scorers in Heat history.
03:40Talking about LeBron James and Dwayne Wade and Lonzo Bourne and Glenn Rice.
03:47Now add Bam out of bio to that 50-point club for the Miami Heat.
03:53Bam has it.
03:54Get it up.
03:55Throw it down with the right-hand hammer to be the finest single-game score in the history of the
04:01Miami Heat.
04:02He got up, he threw it down for one of, if not the most delicious Bam sandwich of his career.
04:12Everyone on their feet, praising the Heat captain with his historic 62.
04:2180 points for Bam on his 40th free throw.
04:28His 33rd make.
04:30His record's now as well.
04:34For 81.
04:37For Kobe.
04:4281 points on the board for Bam out of bio.
04:46Quickly into Bam.
04:47He's got space.
04:48Head down.
04:49Spins.
04:49Puts it up.
04:51And Bam going to the line.
04:54Again.
04:56Bam out of bio is a complete monster.
04:59Monster.
05:0383.
05:04For Bam out of bio.
05:07Only Wilt Chamberlain has more points in an NBA game in association history.
05:29I stand by what I said.
05:36Toyota Curselle, huh, Crowder?
05:39That was a one-night Lamborghini game.
05:43I'll tell you what, man.
05:44I just looked at his stats.
05:45He's still only averaging 20 this season.
05:47So, the 23 and a half over-under is...
05:50It went up a full point.
05:54Here's the thing.
05:55I mean, it was an amazing night.
05:57Solana was there.
05:58I'm watching on TV and Crowder was flying home from New York.
06:02I guess you saw the end of it by the time that you were home.
06:05But, here's my disconnect.
06:09I can only speak through the prism of being a Heat fan.
06:14And I know the rest of the nation, because I've heard from people out of state.
06:18And I'm sure everyone saw, you know, Mad Dog on first take this morning.
06:23And other pundits across the country.
06:27But, because there are differing opinions as to what we witnessed last night.
06:32But, as a Heat fan, it was glorious.
06:35And I don't think any of us are going to have the ability to look at it any other way.
06:39This was, in my opinion, because I can pick apart some of the things that happened.
06:45But, it was something that Heat Nation needed.
06:51And, BAM and SPO delivered it.
06:55They delivered it to the team, to BAM, to Heat Nation.
07:00This was, and it was very deserving of a guy like BAM.
07:03Now, I'm, again, not necessarily certain the rest of the country feels that way.
07:07But, I think Heat fans go, yeah, BAM deserved that.
07:10So, they delivered last night a moment that we Heat fans are going to remember forever.
07:17And so, as a Heat fan, I don't need more context than that.
07:24But, the rest of the country does.
07:28And that's what you're seeing, I think, on all these talk shows and opinion programs.
07:33And that's fine.
07:34They can do that.
07:35I'm going to have a difficult time doing it because I'm a Heat fan.
07:38And so, I'm watching it last night.
07:39I wish I was there like Solana was.
07:41But, I'm watching it.
07:42And, it's like the greatest party you've ever been at.
07:45You know what I mean?
07:46It doesn't matter how it's happening.
07:47You're just watching a magical night for a team that you root for and a guy that you root for.
07:52And then, all of a sudden, I even said to my wife last night, it's going to be 10 minutes
07:57before people start taking a negative slant on what we just witnessed.
08:01And, it was 10 minutes before the tweets started populating my timeline about, you know, what a carnival it was
08:10at the end.
08:12First off, I want to apologize to Bam.
08:16I never thought he had 83 points in a three-game stretch.
08:20That was crazy.
08:22When I got off that plane, I started texting y'all, listening to Jax.
08:26Solana's jumping in.
08:27This is a big celebration.
08:28Amy's talking.
08:29It was wild.
08:31I thought y'all were joking the text that said, Bam has 77.
08:35I thought it was a joke.
08:37I'm like, there's no way.
08:39That's when I actually started getting home.
08:41Because he texted on the plane.
08:43He goes, is Bam having a big night?
08:45Question mark.
08:46Because you must have been seeing Bam this, Bam that, or whatever.
08:49And, I'm like, 77 points.
08:53It does sound like a joke.
08:55When I got reception, I'm thinking, you're BSing me like, okay, Bam got 38.
09:00You know, Bam sneaking up on 40.
09:03We're good.
09:0377 points.
09:04Never saw it out of him.
09:06Went back and watched the highlights today.
09:09He was on.
09:10He was banging them down.
09:12And then, the one thing I love is all the X and O and all the schematics and all.
09:20In that second half, Spoh put all that crap out the window and said, hey, fellas, Bam is feeling it
09:26tonight.
09:27Give this man the damn ball.
09:29Then, when he got over 70, they were turning the ball over on purpose to get Bam one-on-ones.
09:34Like, that is amazing.
09:37Bam went out and did his thing.
09:38I love how he had his old lady up there on the podium after the game.
09:43I know what happened last night or two nights ago for him to have the night he had last night.
09:48But, bro, the names of the top three scorers in single-game NBA history are known by one name.
09:59You say Wilt, you know who we're talking about.
10:01You say Kobe, you know who you're talking about.
10:03Now, you say Bam.
10:05The name Bam.
10:06It's a phrase.
10:08It's not even a real damn name.
10:09They know it's Bam out of Bayou.
10:12Bam, I'm going to officially apologize.
10:15But, you're still at 20 points a game.
10:17I need a higher point average than that.
10:19And, speaking of the one name wonders, Boozy, 41 last night.
10:23Hawk, please don't do that today.
10:26Boozy had 41 last night.
10:27Giddy had a triple-double.
10:29Bam had 83.
10:30You better not bring up.
10:31If you say Giddy.
10:3341.
10:33If you say Giddy, I'm coming to get you.
10:3641 for Boozy.
10:38Anyway, it was – and here's the thing.
10:41And, again, I understand the other side of it if you want to have another side of it.
10:46I get it.
10:47And, we're going to talk about it today.
10:48Jason Jackson is going to join us.
10:50Coach Jim Laranega will be with us for an hour.
10:52Zach Gelb will be on with us.
10:55The thing that I love – you talk about Spoh.
10:58The thing that I love about Spoh, you know, he threw out the window last night normalcy for an NBA
11:08game.
11:09And, the Heat generally stand on normalcy and unwritten rules and doing things the right way.
11:20That's how they've cultivated this DNA narrative that they have.
11:27And, Pat Riley just a few weeks ago said, I wish coaches would wear suits on the sidelines.
11:33The guy who says that, trust me, is not the guy who thinks they should be missing free throws on
11:40purpose up 30 for the chance of an offensive board and more points for your center.
11:46So, they threw all that out the window, though, because something special was happening.
11:52And, they had an opportunity to give a gift to Heat Nation that we'll remember forever.
11:58And, I compare it and contrast it to Mike McDaniel with the 70 points.
12:04And, he decided to take the high road, if you want to call it that, and not go for 73.
12:10When he could have gifted Dolphins Nation, who, by the way, probably needs it more than Heat Nation needs it.
12:17That moment where you go, hey, this, while 70 was great, 73 would have been the record.
12:24And, Mike McDaniel decided in that moment, I'm not going to do it.
12:27And, Spoh had a number of off-ramps last night where he could have done that.
12:32I wouldn't have blamed him, by the way, if he did, but also, I applaud him that he didn't, because
12:39he gave us something special.
12:42He gave the people in that crowd on a Tuesday night at the Kaseya Center against a depleted, unknown Washington
12:52team, he gave them something special.
12:54He didn't step in as the referee and say, I got to call this one, it's over, TKO.
13:02He let it play out the way fans love to watch things play out sometimes.
13:08Has he opened up a Pandora's box against the Heat?
13:11I don't know.
13:12We'll find out.
13:13But, I love that he did it last night.
13:16Humanity.
13:18That's what, he opened up humanity and fandom, where, yeah, I want to run, let's run the triangle, because they're
13:25protecting the three-point line.
13:27Listen, Bam's at 70.
13:28Y'all give that bastard the ball.
13:30Who cares what happens?
13:32We're already winning.
13:34If Bam has 70, and they're down, that's a different thing.
13:39They're up.
13:40They're beating the hell out of the other team.
13:42And Spoh can click out of X and O mode and understand the moment this is.
13:48I love that you bring up the Mike McDaniel, the Denver game, where, oh, no, we're already winning.
13:53We don't need to.
13:54Bro, you could be the highest scoring team in league history.
13:58A league that's been going on for 100 years, you could be the highest scoring team and give that to
14:02humans.
14:03Let's click out of this coaching mode and get into it.
14:06But Spoh is the epitome of hard-nosed culture, X and O, let's-do-it-right guy.
14:15Spoh had to step back and see the history that's about to be made.
14:19And I don't know what went on in them timeout huddles, but it had to be Spoh saying, hey, give
14:2613 that damn ball.
14:27I don't give a damn what y'all want to do after that.
14:29I want to ask Jim Laranega, because I wonder if Laranega would have unilaterally decided, we're up 30, you've scored
14:38over 50, you're coming out of the game.
14:40Or if you would have left it up to the player, because 99, 999 out of a thousand times, Bam
14:51does not play in the fourth quarter.
14:53Doesn't play much of the third quarter.
14:55Game was over.
14:56It was in hand.
14:57You were playing a much lesser team.
14:59And that's the part where I say Spoh, forget about running the plays for him.
15:04That's the part where I say Spoh allowed everything to fly out the window and say, yeah, I'll just keep
15:09him in the game.
15:09I'll keep him in the game that he has no business being in.
15:13Well, it was chasing the Heat franchise record.
15:17Correct.
15:17And I think that had a little bit to do with it, because if the franchise record would have been
15:2148, let's just say, and Bam had surpassed it in the first half or early third quarter, maybe, you know,
15:29you end up benching him because of the sizable lead.
15:32He had to get to 62.
15:33Once he gets to 62, as early as he did, and there's still time left in that third quarter, a
15:40lot of time left, and all of a sudden you're ending the fourth quarter, and he's got 70.
15:45I don't think there's any coach in the world, any player, any teammate in the world that wouldn't give their
15:52guy, when you're up 20 points, against that defense who has been unable to stop in all night, the chance
16:00to go chase history.
16:02I think there are.
16:03I think there are plenty of coaches who just stand on ceremony and don't read the room.
16:09If he had 60 going into the fourth quarter, then he doesn't get to 81.
16:15I'm sorry, if he had 50 at the end of the third quarter, then it's a different conversation.
16:20I mean, he broke the franchise record, and there was more than 12 minutes of basketball left to be played.
16:26He ended up scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter.
16:30I mean, he was close.
16:32He was very, very close, and there was still nine minutes of game action left for him to go get
16:38more.
16:38It just doesn't happen very often.
16:40It's why I applaud Spoh, because it just doesn't happen that coaches allow that to happen.
16:45Mike McDaniel, I'm telling you, could have had the NFL record for points, but he played by the letter of
16:51the law.
16:52Not going to rub it in here.
16:53I'm with you.
16:54By the way, one of the best moments last night, that building, like, I can't.
16:58It was something I've never experienced before, where there's this crazy anxiety, and when Bam, with about two minutes and
17:0948 seconds left, it's an and one.
17:11Drew Smith kind of throws the ball over.
17:12It looks like an air ball.
17:14Bam catches it.
17:15He's fouled.
17:15He makes the shot.
17:16He goes to the free throw line.
17:18He gets points 75, 76.
17:19The free throw's for 77.
17:21There's this anxiety in the building, because there's two minutes and, like, 45 left.
17:26Everybody knows we're about to witness something that has only been done twice.
17:33Bam's going to pass Kobe.
17:34It's going to happen, but we don't know how, because they're fouling anybody not named Bam Adebayo when he gets
17:41the basketball.
17:42How is this going to happen?
17:44But everybody knew it was coming.
17:46We're all going to witness history.
17:47Bam drives to the basket.
17:49He takes out two Wizards defenders.
17:51Two.
17:52Charge.
17:53It was the clearest charge ever.
17:55Those two guys just stood there.
17:57Bam took them out both.
17:58And Spoh just waves his arm, and he comes running out onto the court, and it was so obvious he's
18:05going to lose the challenge.
18:06It had to have been an NBA record for quickest challenge in the history of NBA challenges.
18:12But it was great.
18:12It had that wrestling vibe.
18:14It had the wrestling vibe.
18:18Because he was so demonstrative with the replay.
18:21He's in the middle of the court.
18:21The whole bench.
18:22Yeah.
18:22Ron Butler, Chris Quinn are all out there with him.
18:25It was, like, you don't see that ever.
18:29It was like, it was almost like a movie.
18:30And, again, you watch sports movies sometimes.
18:32You go, well, that couldn't happen.
18:34That would never happen.
18:35This wouldn't happen.
18:36That wouldn't happen.
18:37And that stuff doesn't happen usually because, again, people are their own governors.
18:42And most sports, all sports really have unwritten rules.
18:46You know, there's times I've seen in soccer before where if there's an injury or whatever, but they can't stop
18:53the play.
18:53And they do.
18:54But then they give the ball.
18:55Yeah, you kick the ball out of bounds.
18:56There's unwritten rules where you could keep the ball in that situation, you know, but there's unwritten rules.
19:01And you watch a movie and you go, well, that couldn't happen.
19:04That wouldn't happen or whatever.
19:05And last night was like a movie or wrestling because stuff that normally doesn't happen, especially by a team and
19:13a coach who are the gatekeepers of everything that's right about the sport, allowed this stuff to happen because it
19:20was a special moment.
19:22Like, you can't go back and do it over.
19:25You don't get mulligans on those chances.
19:28And Spoh went for it.
19:31And Bam went for it.
19:33And his teammates went for it.
19:35And it was, it will be a magical night that we all remember.
19:39Spoh hit it on the head.
19:41And then Bam hit it on the head when they were getting Drew Smith, a damn Myron.
19:47I don't even know his last name.
19:48Gardner.
19:49No, Myron didn't do jack.
19:52Myron, there's a couple things.
19:54Myron Gardner, how about you get your four field goals so I can cash a big ticket, all right?
19:59He was, what was it, two for four, I think, from the field.
20:02How about you hit the other two, Myron?
20:04Also, Bam, double-double.
20:06Wouldn't have killed anybody last night.
20:07One rebound away.
20:08Put up 83 points.
20:10Hey, how about a double-double?
20:11He was a little tired, Hawk.
20:13A little bit tired.
20:15Three assists.
20:16Passed the ball a couple times.
20:17Imagine having Bet-Bam double-double, and the dude ends with 83 points and nine boards.
20:24Yeah, I mean, you wouldn't be able to look at yourself in the mirror.
20:27And he stopped defending, too, which was great.
20:29He just stopped defending.
20:30Oh, Kendall Gill, you want to take that three?
20:32He just wanted the ball back as quickly as he could get the ball back in his hand.
20:35Yeah, go ahead.
20:36Hey, Kendall Gill, you want to take that three?
20:38Yeah, go ahead.
20:39Oh, Sharif Cooper, you want to drive to the rim?
20:41Yeah, go ahead.
20:42I'd make it, miss it.
20:43I don't care.
20:43I just want the ball back.
20:45To the point of people today who chose to pick apart how it happened and who only watched
20:55three minutes at the end of the game, where it did become something that's not basketball.
21:00Well, you have to understand it if you're not a heat fan.
21:02You have to.
21:03I don't.
21:04I don't.
21:05Because if you only watch the final three minutes of the game, you're doing yourself
21:10an injustice of one of the greatest regular season slash NBA history performances ever,
21:19ever, because the last three minutes are not what transpired for the other 45 minutes of
21:26the game.
21:26And if you're picking apart the amount of free throws that he took and you're picking apart
21:31why he was on the line, which, by the way, all those fouls were fouls, then you're just
21:38a hater.
21:39He did something that basketball fans should treasure.
21:44He put up a stat line that basketball fans should marvel at.
21:51And less than 24 hours later, less than five hours, less than one hour later, people are
21:57just looking at the box score, looking at what the Wizards and what the Heat were trying
22:02to accomplish and just picking it apart and saying it's not a real 83 point game.
22:08And it's an embarrassment to the sport.
22:10You should treasure somebody like Bam Adebayo, maybe the most improbable 50 point score in
22:18the history of the NBA doing something that nobody thought he could do.
22:24And he delivered the entire game.
22:28Solana, how do you feel about Michael Strahan's stack record?
22:31Because I've always thrown water on that.
22:33It's not the same, though.
22:34It is.
22:34It's not.
22:35It is.
22:35For a lot of people watching, again.
22:37But it's not.
22:38Again.
22:38But it's not.
22:39It is.
22:39It's not.
22:40Solana, he had a legit, he had a legit, he had a legit 70.
22:45Those last 13 were, that was questionable.
22:48Many people say, because you say, hey, don't just watch the last three minutes.
22:51But the problem is, the last three minutes, for many people, impugn what he actually accomplished.
22:58But Michael Strahan and Bam Adebayo are two completely different situations.
23:03First of all, Michael Strahan got a sack that he didn't deserve.
23:08Bam Adebayo.
23:09Bam shouldn't have been in the game.
23:11Bam Adebayo.
23:12But why?
23:13He's chasing a record.
23:14Because Michael Strahan should have been in the game.
23:16But we don't know.
23:17Bam Adebayo.
23:18No, no, no, no.
23:19Solana.
23:19He's talking about it all the time on this show.
23:21Rest your starters in the fourth quarter kind of game.
23:23But that's normal in the NBA.
23:25I agree with that.
23:26You're up by 20, Solana.
23:27Quickly.
23:27You're up by 20.
23:28But when they were turning the ball over on purpose to get offensive possessions, like, that's not basketball.
23:35I'm not.
23:36Listen.
23:37When Keyshaud Johnson.
23:38There's context.
23:38When Keyshaud Johnson missed a free throw.
23:40Come on.
23:41There's context.
23:43Because.
23:43No, no, no.
23:43No, no, no.
23:44No, no, no.
23:45There's massive context to that.
23:46The Miami Heat don't have Keyshaud Johnson miss a free throw on purpose.
23:50And they're not giving up possessions on the defensive end.
23:53If the Washington Wizards don't start fouling Drew Smith and Keyshaud Johnson the second you inbound the ball to ensure
24:03that Bam Adebayo wasn't going to get the basketball.
24:06That's an important part of this story.
24:09If they had just D'd up Bam Adebayo and if they had double teamed him from earlier in the game,
24:15he doesn't get 70.
24:16He doesn't get 80.
24:18They could not stop him.
24:19And then every free throw he took, every single free throw.
24:24Go back and watch the tape.
24:26It was a legitimate foul.
24:28I would agree that this wouldn't be a true 83-point game if the referees were calling ticky-tack fouls.
24:35I would agree if the Wizards themselves were purposely putting Bam Adebayo on the free throw line.
24:41None of that happened.
24:43The Wizards were actively sending three, four bodies at Bam and they still couldn't take the ball away from him.
24:51They still couldn't not foul him.
24:53You have to give it the context because the Heat were still playing with the hammer down in a situation
25:00that most teams don't.
25:01It's the situation, listen, when someone's dribbling the ball out to end the game and someone comes up and steals
25:09the ball, we're outraged.
25:10Right?
25:11We saw it happen to Dwayne Wade.
25:12We saw it happen to Dwayne Wade with the Heat.
25:15Hey, game's on.
25:16You can steal the ball if you want.
25:18Last night was a situation that doesn't happen.
25:21All I'm telling you is you can understand if we don't look at it through the prism of being Heat
25:26fans, which I'm telling you at the beginning of the show, it's impossible for us to do because we're all
25:31Heat fans.
25:32But you have to understand someone from across the country looking at that and going, wait a second.
25:38They could do that with Giannis every game if they wanted to.
25:42They could do that with Kevin Durant every game if they wanted to.
25:46If they foul, if they miss free throws, if they keep KD in for the entire game and only allow
25:53him to shoot, it could happen.
25:55That's why I said I wonder if the Heat open up a Pandora's box by doing so.
25:59I'm just telling you, if you can't understand the other side, then you've got to disconnect between real basketball and
26:06being a Heat fan.
26:07No, I think the people who want to pick apart what Bam Adebayo did yesterday and brush it off like
26:12it was gifted to him, like the Heat did something that shouldn't be done.
26:17They did something that's not normally done.
26:19You can't not acknowledge that.
26:21Aren't real basketball fans.
26:23But wait a second.
26:23They're not.
26:24Doesn't a real basketball fan know that starters rest when they're up by 30?
26:28Doesn't a real basketball fan appreciate another team who's getting punked by Bam Adebayo?
26:35But you're answering a question with a question.
26:38Defending him.
26:38Solana, you cover basketball.
26:41You love basketball.
26:43You watch hundreds of probably thousands of games in your life.
26:47That fourth quarter was not normal basketball.
26:50He was chasing a record.
26:52They were trying to stop him.
26:54They were doing stuff to stop him.
26:55And they were strategically making to not stop him.
26:59I don't agree with the other side, Solana.
27:01But you have to understand that wasn't basketball we watched for the last three minutes of that game.
27:06It doesn't make you less of a Heat fan to say, yeah, that wasn't a typical fourth quarter.
27:10I'm not arguing that it was a typical fourth quarter.
27:12I'm saying the reason the Heat had to go that way, the reason it became a chess match between Spoh
27:17and the Wizards coach is because they, the Wizards, turned it into not basketball.
27:22The Wizards started fouling Drew Smith.
27:25The Wizards started fouling Keyshawn Johnson.
27:27But of course you're going to leave Bam in for that record, Hawk.
27:30No, you're not.
27:31Of course you are.
27:32He had 70 points with nine minutes to go in the game.
27:36Nine minutes of game action.
27:37And by the way, at one point in that fourth quarter, it was only a 12-point lead.
27:41It's not like the Heat were up 30 the entire game.
27:44It was a nail-biter.
27:45Not calling it a nail-biter, but a 12-point lead with five minutes to go in the NBA is
27:50not a foregone conclusion that the game's over.
27:52The Washington Wizards, if they wanted Bam to not get the record, maybe they should have stopped them.
27:57Maybe they should have stopped grabbing them every time Keyshawn Johnson set a pin down so he could come to
28:03the nail and catch the ball.
28:04But guess what?
28:04They were unable to do it.
28:06Then they start sending three, four bodies at him, and they couldn't stay in front of him without fouling him.
28:11He earned every single point he got last night.
28:14And to suggest otherwise is an absolute disgrace when somebody put up something that everybody should be cherishing, not blaspheming.
28:24Well, Solana, you got your thong in a bunch.
28:26And I understand it.
28:27I understand your thong is rammed deep right now.
28:31That's why I brought up the human side of it where Spoh understood the assignment when Bam got to 70.
28:38He did.
28:39The Wizards didn't want to get embarrassed.
28:42So it wasn't a normal game.
28:45Like, you get mad when I say he earned 75.
28:48Let's say he earned 75.
28:49That was basketball.
28:51He earned 75.
28:51He earned 83.
28:53And I'm telling you.
28:54No, no, no, no, no.
28:55But, Solana, when you're turning the ball over, you're missing foul shots.
28:58I – and Hawk started by saying the other side.
29:02I had to watch it today because I was – I'm watching the shows, and I'm like, what the hell
29:07are y'all talking about?
29:09I remember Kobe's 81.
29:10Did you watch Kobe's 81?
29:12I did.
29:13And I went back last night.
29:14I don't want to do this now.
29:16Kobe was one-on-one, still hitting fadeaways.
29:19We're all celebrating Bam, and we're all saying it was the most magical night maybe in the last, I'm going
29:27to say sports-wise, in South Florida.
29:30Well, actually, I have to go back to the Stanley Championship.
29:32Yeah.
29:33Well, all I'm saying is I do understand why people would pick it apart because it was not a normal
29:40fourth quarter.
29:41It just wasn't.
29:41It wasn't, but I would say people who are picking it apart are missing the context of why it turned
29:48into what it turned into.
29:49That's fine.
29:50And instead of doing that, they should appreciate the fact that Bam Adebayo scored 83 points in an NBA game,
29:59and nobody, nobody in the NBA would have put Bam in a top 50 list of players to go score
30:0780 points in a game.
30:08Nobody.
30:09And he did it, and I'm telling you that he earned every single 83 points.
30:14That shouldn't be lost upon what happened last night because people on ESPN this morning watched three minutes of the
30:22game
30:22and decided that it wasn't a true 83-point game.
30:27Those people were disgracing maybe the greatest regular season feat ever.
30:32But they're literally telling you he, the Heat, disgraced the game last night.
30:38They have a wildly different opinion of it than you do.
30:42I'm hearing you, and I'm telling you, the Miami Heat aren't in a position yesterday to turn that into a
30:48funky game
30:48if the Washington Wizards don't start fouling Drew Smith.
30:52He doesn't have to be in the game.
30:54He doesn't have to be in the game.
30:55He's chasing an all-time record.
30:58I get it.
30:59And they wanted to try to stop it, so they muddied it up.
31:02I mean, you're arguing apples to apples here.
31:06What's the boys' name?
31:06Cooler Belly?
31:08You got it.
31:09You think Cooler Belly wants to say, I was on the other side of an 83-point game by Bam
31:13Riley?
31:14Back in my day, late 70s, early 80s, someone would have clocked him.
31:18Oh, yeah.
31:19He's getting knocked out in the paint.
31:21Knocked him out.
31:21Oh, yeah.
31:21You
