00:00Hello and welcome to highlights of stage 3 of Torreno Adriatico, the longest of the race from Cortona to Magliano
00:07di Marci.
00:09A rolling one should be one for the sprinters with one King of the Mountains on the way and also
00:14a sprint at Cassette.
00:17The trident awaits for the winner of this beautiful race.
00:20Van der Poel in green, the mountains leader, is at Dol Toro in blue.
00:24And in Melio Ciclamino, Filippo Ganna, the winner of the opening stage.
00:27Primoz Roglic also signing on.
00:30As the flag was dropped by the local dignitaries, it was all calm, but it was to be a long
00:35day in the saddle.
00:37But a nice, relaxed ceremonial start in a beautiful surrounding of Cortona.
00:45Ride is filing through, Dol Toro wrapping up against the elements.
00:48It was a cold day, around 11 degrees. Rain was to fall as well.
00:52But after the official start was flagged off, there weren't initially any takers for the breakaway.
00:57A few kilometres rolled by with nobody jumping clear, but eventually one man, Diego Pablo Sevilla, did go clear for
01:05Pulti visit Malta and ended up taking the only King of the Mountains of the day ahead of Jean Buu
01:09and moving into the lead of that classification.
01:12Meanwhile, the rain started to fall and the temper was being led by the sprint teams.
01:16Emanuel Gebre-Jabir there, Kevin Ginietz, also having a little bit of a light lunch.
01:23Rad is having a problem with dexterity.
01:25Cold fingers, meaning it was very difficult to control things in the back pockets.
01:30Some beautiful sights and also the sights of Issa del Toro trying to keep his fingers warm.
01:35Shaking out the blood there.
01:36Alberto Betiol as well, helping our TV camera motorbike and wiping the lens.
01:42There was a nice carnival atmosphere in the peloton, despite the bad weather.
01:46There was a brief halt with just under 91 kilometres to go.
01:50The race neutralised and slowing for the passage of a train over some railway tracks.
01:56But once that was passed, we were back up and indeed running.
02:00A Roman Cascada, beautiful to behold.
02:04On the run-in to the finish, things started to get worse.
02:08We had first, though, a hotspot sprint.
02:10It was quite an interesting one.
02:11Little Trek opened up a little bit too early, opening the door for Danny Van Poppel to take the win
02:17and the bonus seconds ahead of Andrea Van Drame.
02:20But importantly, they're in third place, sprinting in the colours of UAE.
02:24It was Issa del Toro who took a valuable one-second time bonus at the sprint in Cassette.
02:31Filippo Fiorelli, calm at the side of the road.
02:33Once he had a wheel change, he was soon back on his way, with 52 kilometres still to race.
02:38And there's the confirmation of the sprint at Cassette Van Poppel, Edo Van Drame and del Toro.
02:43But valuable for del Toro, two points towards the Mali Ciclamino and one second towards the general classification.
02:49So a good day for the young Mexican as the peloton rolled over this grand viaduct.
02:56Then, one man that was to try and spoil the party, Jonas Abramsson of Uno X, went clear.
03:02The Norwegian rider was marked very closely by a couple of the riders from the sprinters teams.
03:09We've got a transition coming up right now, a big squeeze, they all had to get in there.
03:14Some are really having to work very, very hard. You heard the brakes squealing.
03:18So a narrow miss there, but with 10km to go, with that nagging little bit of a headwind, it was
03:22all together.
03:23Ethan Hayter looking round on the right-hand side, and there is the figure of Jonathan Milan
03:27eyeing his first win of this year's Torreno Adriatico. Five wins already under his belt this year.
03:34With 5km to go, the group was still all together, but things were getting a little bit stressful.
03:40And then things opened up very late indeed.
03:42EF Education, Easy Post, lining things out on the right-hand side as they came under the Flamme Rouge.
03:48Also the Catalan CMA CGM also in the mix as well.
03:51This was going to be a furious fight to the line.
03:54As they rounded the corner, it was Decathlon taking the lead, battling for position with this headwind finish.
04:03Still Lund, who's going to have a dink here. This is absolutely phenomenal.
04:06It's good for Stead, who's leading him in. Who else has got something to take out of this?
04:10Jonathan Milan hits the centre. Tongue out, risking that invisible ice cream.
04:14Is he going to help himself? He gets the line. He can see now what lies up ahead of him.
04:19Big response coming through here by Lund. Is he going to lunge up the centre?
04:23It looks like he might well get there. This is absolutely phenomenal.
04:26What a win. That was absolutely brilliant.
04:29What a win then for Tobias Lund-Andersen.
04:32Just look at that crisp acceleration coming out of the slipstream of Jonathan Milan, who faded.
04:37On the inside there, Jasper Philipson finishing fast on the right in the red.
04:40Arnard de Lee, but there was nothing they could do to stop this man.
04:45Yes, well done, boys. Toby got it. Great job.
04:52So Lund-Andersen took the stage.
04:54Head of De Lee, Philipson, Magna, Garcia, Cortina and a Welsford there.
04:58So a smile for this man.
05:00The man from Denmark had a brilliant day.
05:03Isak del Toro also extended his lead at the top of the general classification by one second.
05:08A cold day, but a good one for the Mexican.
05:10He also moved into the lead of the points classification.
05:13Amalia Ciclamino on his shoulders, ahead of Mathieu van der Poel.
05:19But there was a change in the King of the Mountains.
05:22It's a great day out for Diego Pablias of Sevilla.
05:25Taking the green jersey as we head into stage four.
05:29Del Toro extending the lead as well as you'd expect in the young rider classification.
05:34So all to play for still as we head into stage four.
05:40I'll see you next time.
05:41How do you when someone down to pack a그램 vaccination?
05:42Oh, how do I get into stage four?
05:43You thought you were worried about anything.
05:43How do you got so too far?
05:44So if I probably get into stage five, maybe to be the same cooker.
05:44I think are the only one that resolved.
05:44Have a great day.
05:44Grazie a tutti.
