00:08I want to put you inside his operation.
00:10Welcome to the family.
00:18So, I play Angela Burr, and in the novel she was a man,
00:24and they changed her to be a woman, and I'm very pleased they did.
00:30How did you feel about the director and the director of Susanna?
00:34They were very kind about it, because my first meeting with the director was Susanna,
00:40and I had to tell her that I'm pregnant.
00:43And she went back, and they all talked to the producers,
00:46and they decided it would add to it, and it was a good thing, so that was great.
00:49So I didn't lose the part, because I was pregnant.
00:57No, I'm ashamed to say, I'd seen dramatizations of his novels,
01:04but I'd never read his books, and I didn't know this story until I read the script.
01:10Do you ever meet Richard Roper?
01:12Roper's a world-class M.D.R.
01:13He's the worst man in the world.
01:22Well, noticeably, there was more money involved in this production,
01:26so we were all able to travel, and because the book is such a massive piece,
01:33you needed to give it a lot of time to be able to faithfully adapt it for the screen.
01:40And the fact that we were all able to travel to Mallorca and travel to Morocco,
01:45and yes, normally I don't get to do that.
01:57I think the heat in Morocco, and I was pregnant, so I was very hot,
02:04but my scenes were all inside in Morocco, so that was fine.
02:08But I think just the day-to-day, just being hot, was a challenge.
02:14But the rest of it was a joy.
02:15It wasn't difficult to do, it was just really fun.
02:24I think making friends with all these people,
02:31it was a really enjoyable job.
02:34It's very hard to pick one thing, but I'm very proud of it,
02:40and I'm very pleased to take from it some good friends.
02:56It was a privilege to watch them.
02:59They both have a very strong work ethic.
03:01They're very driven and very intelligent about the way they approach things,
03:08and very committed.
03:09They take it very seriously.
03:11So it was lovely to watch and to be part of it,
03:14and I think everybody upped their game.
03:16Everybody wanted to be as good as them.
03:25Oh, I love Happy Valley at the moment.
03:27Is it on television at the moment in the UK?
03:33I don't know.
03:34I'm very grateful to get any work.
03:36I'll say yes to anything.
03:44I don't think so.
03:46Well, no one's ever mentioned it to me.
03:48.
03:49.
03:50.
03:50,
03:50.
03:50Grazie a tutti
