01:18And I think you're right, Arthur in the end is a protector and Vortighe is a user.
01:28And from Dickens to Harry Potter to Batman, the stories that move us the most are the
01:36ones in which the protagonist struggles for the loss of a parent or a difficult family
01:44situation.

01:45You've done that in The Young Pope for years, there's a huge family issue, a big family
01:50issue.
01:51Uh-huh.
01:51So why do you think that these stories are the ones that move us the most?
01:54Well, it's a really, it's a very good point.
01:57I think clearly it's because it is a story device that affects us all very personally.
02:05It's something that we've all experienced first-hand, second-hand.
02:09But families are very potent, emotional, raw, individual, affecting and effective parts
02:19of all our lives.
02:21They're probably the source from which we get the most emotion and the most feeling.
02:26and so to tap into those in storytelling is a, also let's not forget storytelling stems
02:34back to people sat around fires sharing stories that warn you of how not to behave or how to
02:42behave of heroes and villains and myths and stories that warn you of perilous journeys
02:53and what have you and the family is linked very closely to that.
02:57So how to affect people is to go to the heart of the matter and the family lies at the
03:01heart.
03:02In these last few years you have put on the purple robes, the king crown, and next you
03:09will have the wand of a wizard.
03:11Which one, which one excites you the most?
