00:02E' arrivato.
00:07Ciao baby!
00:08Perché sente sempre la musica?
00:10Da piccolo ha avuto un incidente, gli è rimasto un ronzio nelle orecchie e mette la musica per coprirla.
00:16E questo lo rende il migliore.
00:22Tu sei uno misterioso.
00:24Forse.
00:27From music to silence, the main character is very quiet, and this thing disturbs in a way the Jimmy character
00:36and John Benton characters.
00:37Why do you think in a society where everybody needs to tell something about everything, a person that is silent
00:45and quiet is strange?
00:48Well, I think in this sort of, the thing is that in the movie, like, sort of, Ansell's character is
00:54trying to sort of, like, shy away from the others.
00:57He's doing the job, but he doesn't really want to fraternize with somebody, so he kind of plugs himself in
01:03and shuts himself off.
01:04There's a sort of, you know, ears in, sunglasses on, as a way of, like, just, um, um, um, not
01:13being present.
01:14And I think that, uh, annoys John Bernthal because John Bernthal perceives that to be the answer, thinks he's above
01:22it all.
01:23Um, so, it's, like, different ways that I think, also, if you were, like, in, like, a gang of bank
01:27robbers, and there was this kid in the corner who's, like, 21, and is, like, listening to his iPod the
01:34whole time, you'd be, what's his story?
01:36Everybody would ask the same question, so that's the idea.
01:39He's, like, the baby face of the group.
01:41Okay.
01:42And, um, since in this movie, uh, everybody drives a lot, I want to know what happened, uh, the day
01:48of your driving lessons exam?
01:50Um, okay, so this is funny.
01:52I, I, I, I did my driving test in England when I was 17, and it took me four times
02:00to pass.
02:01And then cut to, like, 24 years later, I had to take my driving test again in Los Angeles because
02:10you have to get an American license.
02:11So then I sort of did my driving test at the age of, uh, 17, and then I get it
02:18at 41.
02:19That time I passed the first time.
02:21Yeah.
02:22But it's very strange to do your driving test twice and that far apart.
02:26Mm-hmm.
02:27Uh, in this movie, uh, there's also Kevin Spacey, and I want to know, is, uh, is, um, is he,
02:33uh, approachable, or is he difficult because he's the president, so?
02:38Um, no, he's very approachable.
02:41I mean, you know, like, he, it was great to work with him because he's such a, uh, a charismatic
02:46actor and, like, you know, he just kind of comes to work completely prepped and you can just kind of
02:52have fun with it and stuff.
02:53And then if things are getting stressful, you can just get Kevin to do some impressions, which is always, like,
02:57lightens the mood.
02:59Mm-hmm.
03:00Uh, speaking again about music, uh, this movie is amazing because it seems like, uh, a rock opera with, uh,
03:07with car chasing cars.
03:09Uh, so I was, um, pulling all that together.
03:13It's amazing.
03:14Nice job, by the way.
03:15Thank you.
03:16Somebody else said the other day to me, they said it was like a car chase opera, which I, I
03:20like that idea.
03:21Mm-hmm.
03:22Yeah.
03:22It was, it was difficult to use In Your Blood, I don't know, music and, uh, action.
03:26I know, I was a big music fan and just the idea of doing a whole film set to music
03:31was, like, just like a dream idea for me.
03:34Mm-hmm.
03:36Uh, last curiosity, um, in your movies you always choose, um, a large cast.
03:42There are many characters. Why do you think that it's better, uh, to tell a story with all these different
03:48point of views?
03:50I don't know. I mean, I think it's just, sometimes it's just the nature of, like, the movie that it
03:55is, like, you know, Hot Fuzz has a big cast because you've got the entire police force and the entire
04:01town.
04:02And this one's a big cast because you have three separate, like, gangs of bank robbers, um, you know, so
04:10it's just, like, more interesting to write, I guess.
04:13Mm-hmm. Okay. Thank you.
04:15Thank you very much.
04:15Very nice job.
04:20Aspetta, devo rimetterla da capo.
04:23Okay, bye.
04:25Baby, dimmelo tu, chi muore.
04:26No, io guido.
04:28Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
04:36Non vi serve altra musica, gente?
04:38No.
04:40No.
04:41No.
04:42No.
04:42No.
04:42No.
