00:05I was going to buy a jersey based on how it looked, with no care about the team, who would
00:13I pick?
00:15Whose uniforms do I think were the best for the years? Okay.
00:21I've been in the car for two hours, driving, man. How do I look? I look okay?
00:26Everybody wants to look good.
00:28You look good. You feel good. You feel good. You play good.
00:33In the NFL, your uniform goes a long way toward how you look.
00:38And we have all the laughs. We have black jerseys and white pants.
00:40I love y'all uniforms, man.
00:41I think there's a real power to uniforms.
00:44You know what you're playing for when you're in this uniform.
00:46Some uniforms are simply more desirable than others.
00:50When I was with the Cardinals, the Cardinal that was on our head, we used to call it Chickenhead.
00:55We used to call it, get your chicken head on.
00:57I don't want to know what they're wearing today. I don't know what that is.
01:00I think it's very important to have that identification.
01:04Purple and gold is where it's at, though.
01:06Players come and go, especially at the age of the salary cap, they move around.
01:09So what you have left to root for, it's that logo, those colors, that uniform.
01:15That's what you're rooting for or rooting against.
01:17Throwback that!
01:19We begin our countdown of the top ten uniforms of all time with an outfit we can all root for.
01:27The number ten uniform of all time.
01:30Cheerleaders.
01:31Number ten.
01:33My particular favorite is all of them.
01:38Get excited, little fella.
01:40Who has buttered up?
01:42What makes a good...
01:43I mean...
01:45You have to skip...
01:47You have to be explained.
01:50Of all the hundreds of NFL uniforms...
01:52Jersey and pants, you know the monochromatic look.
01:54You like an Israel uniform?
01:55Huh?
01:56You like an Israel uniform?
01:57Yeah, I'm holding you personally responsible for making me look like the Kool-Aid man.
02:01Like a bunch of popsicles out there.
02:03In 2009, the Seattle Seahawks took going green to the extreme.
02:08The original plan was to have Green Day play at halftime.
02:12We were going to be pushing the environment.
02:14We were going to give everyone recyclable bags.
02:17Well, all of that fell by the wayside and we were left to run out on the field in those
02:21silly lime green jerseys.
02:23We took them all out of my house.
02:24They were all burned.
02:26Those have been retired.
02:31That was part of the recent trend of alternate uniforms, which rarely seem to hit the mark.
02:37Those mustard uniforms were like a bad McDonald's outfit.
02:40How ugly that is.
02:42Oh, yeah.
02:43The current Buffalo Bills uniform is just a disaster.
02:46And they've got all that trim and piping around the shoulder and the chest.
02:49But, you know me, I'll make anything look good.
02:50Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which might explain the next number on our list.
02:57The number nine uniform of all time, the Cree-sicle Bucks.
03:02That was the colors.
03:03So, orange and white was fine with me.
03:07Yeah, I won't say I was excited about wearing that particular uniform.
03:12I was fine with the colors.
03:14You know, maybe we could have switched the mascot up a little different.
03:18Yeah, that is not good.
03:19The expansion Bucks arrived in the NFL in 1976 and instantly made their mark.
03:26It was a color that had never been worn on an NFL field before for a new team that had
03:31never been on the field before.
03:32And so, you know, there was something nice about that.
03:34Pats, I've never seen anything like this in my life.
03:37Brand new franchise, trying something new.
03:39They take a dead movie actor, Errol Flynn, and put him on the side of the helmet.
03:42Time to go back to the drawing board.
03:44The winking pirate should have told us early on that we were in trouble.
03:49I'm sure the guys were like, um, we don't go around winking with knives in our mouth.
03:53So, maybe we don't want that on the side of our head.
03:58Thanks to the Bucks' putrid play, our No. 9 uniform soon became synonymous with losing.
04:04If you have to go 0-14 in one season, that's the uniform you want to do it in.
04:08You can't stop a pass or a run.
04:11Otherwise, we're in great shape.
04:12At first, you thought it was kind of cool to have that orange, and then you realize the other teams
04:17were basically laughing at the Bucks.
04:20No, no, no.
04:22In the late 90s, the Bucks finally ditched their long-time look.
04:26As soon as the Bucks got new uniforms, they won their division, went to the playoffs, and everything was okay.
04:31It wasn't Tony Dungy's impact.
04:32It was the new uniforms that got the Bucks in the playoffs.
04:36Orange, creamsicle, red, bucko-bruce, never happened.
04:39You know, the orange represented at the time, a losing franchise.
04:43Our mascot wasn't the manliest manly stickers on our helmets.
04:54Our No. 9 uniform.
04:56There was no amount of deodorant that you could use to get the stink of losing off of those uniforms,
05:01and that's why they were bad back then.
05:03But now that they're throwbacks, they're hip now.
05:06That's why they belong on the list.
05:08The most spectacular comeback!
05:10I would say it's among the most important uniforms, because it definitely broke new ground, for better or worse.
05:15It was a landmark of a sort.
05:17I don't know if I would call it one of the best, but it was definitely one of the most
05:19significant.
05:21I'm always feeling like those were some pretty good uniforms.
05:24And I think also, the ladies enjoyed those guys in the white pants spinning over in the hub.
05:30The No. 8 uniform of all time, the Bengals switched to stripes.
05:36If there's anywhere you're going to put a pattern on a man, I would much prefer to see it on
05:40his helmet or on a tie.
05:44Prior to their dramatic change, the Cincinnati Bengals could have easily been mistaken for their in-state rivals.
05:52They look just like the Browns' uniforms, and I'm going, oh wait a minute, the uniforms look alike, what are
05:57they doing?
05:58Paul Brown is just like, I'm just going to put the exact same uniform on my new team, I don't
06:02care.
06:03And they put Bengals along the side, like that was going to make a difference.
06:06That is like the ultimate, like, bitter, angry, vengeful, like that's, I got my new team, I'm going to dress
06:13them in exactly the same clothes I had the old team in.
06:15Art Modell objected to that.
06:17You stole my uniform, he said.
06:20This was at a league meeting, and my dad said, well, who stole whose uniform?
06:27Any Browns fans who are upset about him taking the colors could feel better about the fact they chose the
06:32lamest helmet design ever.
06:33Could there be anything sadder?
06:34There's a classic photo of Paul Brown sitting in his office, looking at helmet prototypes that had been brought in,
06:40and to think he had all these things to choose from, and he came up with really, you know, arguably
06:45the weakest helmet design in NFL history.
06:48My dad had this helmet in his office, a stripe design, but the stripes were all the same size, and
06:55we used to tell him it looked like a barber's pole.
07:01In 1981, our number eight uniform made quite a splash.
07:06My first reaction, honestly, was, yikes, stripes.
07:08I looked at those bad boys, and I thought, jeez, I hope we play well, because a lot of kids
07:12are going to be wearing these on Halloween, you know.
07:15I'll tell you the truth, when you're wearing a helmet like that, it's one of those situations, you either got
07:19to put up or shut up.
07:20You either got to play, or they're going to laugh you out of the league.
07:23The Bengals.
07:23Two years, and they were in the Super Bowl.
07:27Earned their stripes, making it all the way to the Super Bowl.
07:30It changed everything within the franchise.
07:33I really think some teams change can really spark a run of excellence.
07:38Put those tiger stripes on the helmet, and suddenly, they were kind of a team to be reckoned with.
07:44If we had stumbled out of the gate, and not played well, and been the bumbling Bengals, the uniforms would
07:50have taken a severe beating, I'm sure.
07:57The number seven uniform of all time, the Browns.
08:01Yep.
08:02It's been the same forever.
08:04It's never changed.
08:06I think the Browns have classic uniforms.
08:08They're simple, they're plain.
08:10I love, you know, just the simple helmet with the one stripe, and the classic blend of brown and orange.
08:16It's so ugly, it's beautiful, in terms of what Cleveland and this team is all about.
08:22I like brown, and I like, you know, burnt orange.
08:25I don't know if together, it just seems so dark and gloomy and sad all the time.
08:29Let's look at the situation, first of all.
08:31They're named after Paul Brown.
08:33Paul Brown doesn't want the team named after him.
08:35They do it anyway.
08:36So now we have a human being as a mascot.
08:38So where we're going to put a Paul Brown portrait on our helmet for a logo, that's not going to
08:42work.
08:43So, got to have a blank helmet.
08:44We can't be named Browns and not have a brown outfit.
08:48We just can't.
08:49So now we have a blank helmet and a brown jersey.
08:51What do you do with that?
08:55He's green.
08:57This is a uniform that stands for a long history and heritage that they're proud of, and I just don't
09:02think that there's a reason to change it.
09:03The mighty Cleveland Browns defending world champions come charging onto the field.
09:08Our number seven uniform begs the question, does success allow for a fashion faux pas?
09:13Somehow the Browns get away with it.
09:16Let's go!
09:17When are they ever going to do something about those uniforms?
09:20I think it's defiance now.
09:22I mean, I think it's reached a point where part of the whole Browns thing is to just be brown
09:28and just be orange and just be kind of ugly.
09:32Maybe not.
09:33Fans of the brown and orange are particular about how the colors are combined.
09:39I'm not a big brown pants guy.
09:42I don't like the brown pants.
09:44I really don't think you're going to see their legs when they're in brown pants.
09:48When white legs are crisscrossing against a dark background, we cannot mistake that they are flying.
09:54He's gone!
09:55Touchdown!
10:02Downplaying orange is always probably a good thing to do.
10:06Tell Cleveland to take them Halloween pumpkin helmets and put them somewhere.
10:09They're like a pumpkin patch.
10:12In 1975, orange found its way to the Browns' pants.
10:16We all look ridiculous in the 70s, so why not football uniforms?
10:22No.
10:23No, no, no.
10:24This white being a symbol of the cardiac kids, the change to orange pants was not popular.
10:30They have to go and mess with perfection.
10:33When you get a perfect steak, would you put sauce on it at that point?
10:38No.
10:39Where did it go?
10:41Where did it go?
10:43That's how I felt when they went to the orange pants.
10:45When did it all slip away from me?
10:50Why?
10:51Stop it.
10:52This was perfect.
10:53How did I ever lose my weight?
10:58They had the sizzle and the steak, and they didn't need to go with the orange pants.
11:03But the unique logo-less orange helmet solidifies their spot at number seven on our list.
11:09It separates them from everybody else.
11:10I don't think there's any reason why you would want to have a logo on the helmet.
11:14If they put a logo on that helmet, they're not going to be the Browns anymore.
11:19Jim Brown, one of the greatest of all time, never had a logo on his helmet.
11:24And when you think about the history of this team, and still maintaining that ugly uniform
11:30and those ugly helmets, that's consistency.
11:34I mean, that's the kind of thing that people, I think, hold dear to their hearts and can go
11:37through generations.
11:40The Browns, I don't know what to say.
11:42You know, they're always throwback.
11:44They're just so plain.
11:45It's like the city.
11:46It's always, like, overcast and brown.
11:51The number six uniform of all time, peewee jerseys.
11:55Peewee uniforms are the best because its mesh is probably worth about a buck fifty.
12:01You know, it's two sizes too big.
12:04And it has Costuro's trucking on the back.
12:07One of the most exciting moments in my career is the day I got my Pop Warner uniform.
12:13It's like your very first kiss.
12:15It's like your very first job.
12:17You point to that moment as a young football player.
12:20Those are things that stay in your mind.
12:24No.
12:25Isn't this the NFL we're talking about?
12:27I mean, what are we talking about?
12:28We're talking about top ten uniforms in the National Football League.
12:30Not about some freaking peewee team.
12:33My first team was 1985.
12:34I played for Lakeland Lumberjacks.
12:36I played running back.
12:38Never had shoes on or anything like that.
12:40Always just kept my shoes off playing football.
12:41Back in the day, it didn't matter.
12:43First started playing in seventh grade.
12:44It's the St. Jude Flying Jays.
12:46Started out as a running back.
12:48Toward the end of my seventh grade year, I started playing quarterback.
12:52Age seven.
12:54Seven-year-old little Mighty Mike.
12:55And our chant used to be,
12:57What the Falcons do?
12:59Swoop! Swoop!
13:00I'll never forget it.
13:01I mean, I had a great time.
13:03I think it's very special for players to think about their peewee days.
13:06That was when they were saying,
13:08Ooh, I want to be that guy.
13:09And then 15 years later,
13:10You're that guy,
13:11And you know that there's some kid
13:13On some little field with no grass
13:17That's doing the exact same thing you did when you were a kid.
13:20And for some players, the heroes were right in their own backyard.
13:27Hey, who's your favorite football player, then?
13:29My dad.
13:30Your dad's your favorite football player, too?
13:32Well, you're on the right track.
13:33You're going to be a football player when you grow up?
13:35Mm-hmm.
13:38I don't have a thought about peewee uniforms.
13:41I mean, you're going to put me in a bad spot,
13:43I'm going to start commenting on little kids in uniforms?
13:45Huh?
13:46You should take it off your list.
13:48Anytime you're a kid and you're playing an organized sport
13:52And you get issued your first uniform,
13:55You treat that uniform as something like,
13:58Hey, I'm playing a real sport with a real number,
14:01Just like the guys I watch on TV.
14:04Our number six uniform proves that the NFL breeds itself.
14:09My favorite NFL team was Minnesota Vikings growing up.
14:13Chris Cardo was probably my favorite player.
14:16My favorite team was Pittsburgh.
14:19The Steelers were the first team I played for.
14:21I was five years old.
14:23You know, I remember Terry Bradshaw.
14:26Niners for my team.
14:26We had season tickets to the Niners.
14:28Four years old, my dad took me to one of the games.
14:30Of course, it was the NFC Championship game
14:32When Dallas played the Niners at home,
14:33And Mike Clark made the catch.
14:35It turned out to be one of the best games of all time.
14:42Well, when it comes to the kids first getting cool uniform,
14:45It's like magic.
14:46And they don't want to put it away.
14:48They keep trying it on over and over again.
14:50They would hang it as art if they could.
14:52If I could go back in time
14:54And grab my Mort's Bootery number eight
14:56And have it framed,
14:58I would pay thousands of dollars.
15:00I should have stole that thing years ago.
15:02Because for every kid,
15:04Your first uniform has that special meaning.
15:06No, nothing special about it.
15:08It's great for the kid.
15:09Ooh, I got a uniform.
15:11I'm an adult man.
15:12I don't look at little kids' uniforms.
15:14Sick.
15:15Up next,
15:16Which white-wearing team fits this description?
15:20The number five uniform of all time.
15:22The 49ers of the 80s.
15:25I'm trying to come up with the best way to describe it.
15:28How do you describe perfection?
15:30I don't know.
15:30I'm thinking like the blush of a summer cherry
15:33And the gold of like a champion.
15:35Like a great Notre Dame helmet when they're good.
15:38And you combine these images
15:39Like the best of nature
15:40And then great championship gold.
15:43And it's just all of a sudden
15:44I'm seeing Joe and Jerry and Ronnie.
15:47And what a uniform.
15:49Pardon me while I have a moment here.
15:51Great uni.
15:51Love them.
15:57When you look at the theory of product
16:00You know, when you walk through stores
16:01Red is the first color that men see
16:04The clarity of the cherry red color
16:06And the white numbers
16:08Is very readable
16:10Even on a gray day
16:11And with bad light
16:12You're still going to see this color
16:14Touchdown, 49ers!
16:15You would think 49ers
16:17Could be a pretty cheesy uniform
16:18Gold was discovered
16:19Hey, let's put them in gold
16:20But the cherry red was so gorgeous
16:23The gold was tasteful
16:24It's really all about the gold pants
16:26And the width of the stripe
16:29On the side of the pants
16:30So thick
16:31With the red, white, and red stripe
16:33You look at Jerry Rice's profile
16:35From those days
16:37It's like the whole side of his leg
16:39And that was my favorite part
16:40About that old uni
16:41Man, that pants stripe was too wide
16:45The whole uniform is just
16:47It's like a good time
16:52Gold, 80s, you know
16:53Afros, sequins, headbands
16:55Shiny leg warmers
16:57Come and see them play
16:58You can have a good time
17:01When I think of the 80s
17:02Niners of the 80s
17:03Kind of bookended by two plays
17:04The famous catch
17:06And then John Taylor's catch
17:09In the Super Bowl
17:10Against the Bengals
17:11And they wore that same basic uniform
17:13Through that whole period
17:21You know, the way they played
17:22And all the passes
17:23And the short passes
17:24And the way they, you know
17:25Kind of chalked it up
17:26And everything
17:27And I always thought
17:28That there's a discussion
17:29To be had
17:30Whether Secretariat
17:31Is a great horse's name
17:33Or whether
17:34Because he was such a good horse
17:35Secretariat
17:36So I think that's the way
17:37I feel about the 49ers uniform
17:38In 1994
17:39Our number 5 jersey
17:41Had alterations
17:43Bill Walsh returned to the front office
17:44In the late 90s
17:45And by then
17:46They had replaced the cherry red
17:47With a cardinal red
17:49And it was white pants
17:51Which, you know
17:52With the white on white
17:53On the road
17:53Looked really terrible
17:54You know, the gold
17:55Was more metallic
17:56There was a black element to it
17:58And I saw Bill Walsh
18:00Get almost as upset
18:01As I've ever seen him
18:02And he just said
18:03You know
18:03They had the greatest
18:05Classiest uniforms
18:06In all of sports
18:07And they just took it
18:09And they ruined it
18:10And I don't know why
18:12It was hard to see
18:15Them winning that Super Bowl
18:16Because they were wearing
18:18Those hideous looking uniforms
18:19With the black backdrop
18:22Hated them
18:22Hated them
18:24Niners have five Super Bowls
18:26You know, maybe it's like
18:27A family with five kids
18:28And there's that one child
18:29Where you're kind of
18:30Maybe you're a little
18:31Disappointed in him
18:32The Niners wearing
18:33Those white pants
18:33With those shadow numbers
18:35When you're not wearing
18:36The cherry red
18:37And the champion gold
18:38Then you're just
18:39You're the black sheep
18:40Of the family
18:41I'm sorry
18:41In 2009
18:43The herd was heard
18:44And the classic look
18:46Came back
18:46The Niners uniform
18:48They really don't need
18:49Much changing
18:50Colors wise
18:51You're doing just fine
18:51You know, sometimes
18:52You got it made in the shade
18:53And your only job
18:54Is to not let the tree
18:55Fall on you
18:56The number four uniform
18:57Of all time
18:58The Cowboys wear white
19:01They said that they put
19:02The hole in the roof
19:02At Texas Stadium
19:03So God could see his team
19:04God wouldn't have it
19:05Any other way
19:06Than have the Cowboys
19:07Wear white
19:09I don't exactly know where
19:11The Cowboys
19:12White uniforms belong
19:14But I do know
19:15If you're looking
19:16For the classic look
19:18With the star and all that
19:20That's one of the classic looks
19:22In the history of the league
19:23When we think of the Cowboys
19:24You think of wearing white
19:25You know, that's just
19:26What the Cowboys look like
19:28It's just such a clean look
19:29We have so many connotations
19:32For white
19:32Clean
19:33Positive
19:34Good
19:34Virtuous
19:36They're America's team
19:37Aren't they?
19:42Not including their
19:43Thanksgiving throwbacks
19:44The Cowboys have worn
19:46Their white jerseys
19:47At home
19:47In every game
19:49Since 1964
19:50Yes, they're arrogant
19:52But that's America's team
19:53So they dictate
19:55Hey, if you hated that team
19:56It's just like
19:57Here they come
19:58Look at them
19:58They think they're so great
19:59With their white uniforms
20:01They played into the Hollywood notion
20:04That the guy that wore the white
20:06They gave the other team motivation
20:10To try and dirty those uniforms
20:12To try and knock those guys down
20:16The white hat was the good guy
20:18The guy that wore the black hat
20:19Was the villain
20:20And the Cowboys
20:21Were the good guys
20:22They were America's team
20:24They had Captain America
20:25Quarterback in the team
20:27For three
20:32You could come in there
20:33With a lot of different teams
20:34Where you'd see
20:35What their colors
20:36Red or blue
20:37Or green
20:38You know
20:39And the Cowboys
20:39Always had the white
20:40If you just wore the blue colors
20:42You know
20:43It'd always be a blue and white game
20:45And that was the idea behind it
20:46That was Tech Tram's idea
20:47To have more visual interest
20:48At his home field
20:49You know
20:50That his fans would have
20:51A more interesting thing
20:52To look at each week
20:54I love that they wear white at home
20:56In part because
20:57It sets up uniform gamesmanship
20:59How many sports does that
21:00Come into play
21:01You know
21:01The Cowboys sort of
21:02Allow for that
21:02By having this white at home policy
21:05They felt that white was lucky
21:06And they felt
21:07The Cowboys are like
21:09The Cowboys are like
21:10The Yankees
21:13Without the pinstripes
21:14Also the blue was unlucky
21:16It seemed like
21:17Whenever they wore
21:17Their blue jerseys
21:18In a big game
21:19They'd lose
21:19The blue jersey
21:20Jinx dates back to 1968
21:22When the Browns
21:24Upset the blue clad Cowboys
21:26In a playoff game
21:27It continued
21:28In Super Bowl 5
21:29As the designated
21:30Home team
21:31The Cowboys
21:32Were forced to wear blue
21:33Dallas lost
21:35The Super Bowl
21:36To the Colts
21:37They got to the point
21:38Where other teams
21:38Were buying in
21:39To the white jersey
21:42Superstition
21:42In that NFC championship game
21:44In the early 80s
21:45The Eagles chose
21:46To wear white at home
21:47To invoke
21:48What was seen as
21:49The curse
21:49Of the Cowboys
21:50Blue jersey
21:53Well the opposing teams
21:54Always believed
21:55That it was a jinx
21:56For the Cowboys
21:56And so the Cowboys
21:57Believed it too
21:58So you always thought
21:59The Cowboys were going to lose
22:00When they wore those
22:01Blue jerseys
22:02And they usually did
22:05But all 5 of Dallas'
22:07Super Bowl titles
22:08Have come in white
22:09Seems nothing can stop
22:11The good guy
22:12From winning in the end
22:13Cowboys back to back
22:14In that hand
22:15It's just a brand
22:17That nobody else
22:18Will ever be able
22:19To take anything away from
22:21That uniform really
22:22I think defined
22:23A lot of people's
22:24Memories of football
22:26Coming up
22:27There was a survey done once
22:29That their uniforms
22:30Were the second
22:31And of course
22:33Intimidation
22:33They gave us
22:34Black uniforms
22:35For a reason
22:36They put the black
22:37Unis on us too
22:38Damn
22:40It's totally
22:40Disrespecting
22:41I think it's been proven
22:42That if you see black
22:44It's like a bull
22:45Seeing red
22:45You know
22:46It is that
22:47Whole mystique
22:48About you coming out there
22:49And being the bad guy
22:51The bad guy color
22:52Has definitely caught on
22:54We have something called
22:56BFBS
22:56Which is black
22:57For black's sake
22:58There's so many teams
22:59Just doing black
23:00For the sake of doing black
23:01It has no part of their
23:02History
23:03It's not one of their
23:03Efficient team colors
23:04And then suddenly
23:05Hey we're wearing
23:05A black alternate jersey
23:06This season
23:07Everybody's wearing black
23:08That must mean
23:10That black is the hottest
23:12Toughest
23:12Best football color
23:14This black thing
23:15Is very simple
23:16It goes back to one team
23:17The Oakland Raiders
23:19Number one
23:20Number one
23:21Right
23:21Top team
23:22You for number one
23:23We're number one
23:23On your list
23:24Right
23:24I mean I'm no
23:26The number three uniform
23:28Of all time
23:28The silver and black
23:38You can think about
23:39Black and gold
23:40Or green and gold
23:41And kind of figure out
23:43Who you're talking about
23:44When you say silver and black
23:45You know it's the Raiders
23:48You talk about the classic uniforms
23:50You talk about
23:51A singular look
23:52That defines a franchise
23:55That is a case
23:56Where the uniform color
23:58Matches the identity
24:00Of the team
24:00Dark
24:01Black
24:02Nasty
24:04Criminal
24:07Outcasts
24:13The color and logo
24:15For our number three uniform
24:16Were born in 1963
24:18When Al Davis
24:19Took over a fledgling
24:21Oakland Raider franchise
24:22Al Davis I know
24:23Always liked those colors
24:25In part because
24:25He made players look big
24:26And Datter
24:27Came with the wins
24:29The Raiders are bound
24:30For the Super Bowl
24:31For the third time
24:32The total research
24:33Into the silver and black
24:35The Raiders
24:36Of the 70s
24:37In the 80s
24:38The total Al Davis
24:40Raiders
24:40With Lyle Alzado
24:42It was like pro wrestling
24:43I mean you had
24:44Your bad guy
24:45They were telling you
24:47They're not hiding it at all
24:48They're just like
24:49We are totally going to cheat
24:50We don't really care
24:51We're going to hit you
24:51Late because we
24:52Have a helmet
24:53That has the guy
24:55With an eye patch on it
24:56And the flag
24:57And the big pilot
24:59Here come all the Raiders
25:00Oh and Toledo
25:01It's a free for off
25:04And they would come out
25:05On the field
25:05And you knew
25:06That the other side
25:07Was looking at them
25:08They look bigger than we do
25:10They look faster than we do
25:11And they sure look nastier
25:12Than we do
25:13It became part of the Raiders
25:14Brand image
25:15As outlaws
25:17Did a color scheme
25:18Actually affect
25:19The roster makeup
25:20And behavior of the team
25:21I mean that's sort of
25:22An interesting thing
25:22To think about
25:23Did you see them
25:24In one of those chargers
25:26Jack Tatum
25:27In a powder blue jersey
25:29I don't think so
25:34You know a lot of jerseys
25:35Nowadays are kind of fancy
25:36There's a lot of stuff on them
25:39Those Raiders jerseys
25:41There's just something
25:41So simple
25:43So pure
25:44It just looks good
25:46Silver pants
25:48Striped down the side
25:50Black jersey
25:51Silver numerals
25:52And that silver helmet
25:54That's it
25:56You have to live up
25:57To the helmet though
25:58That's the tough part
25:59Of the Raiders
26:00When you're playing
26:01Very poorly
26:02Suddenly it's like
26:03Why do these guys
26:04Have like
26:04That guy
26:05And their helmet
26:06Everything looks stupid
26:07Now they look like
26:07A roller derby team
26:08However fans
26:10Of the silver and black
26:11Represent why
26:12They deserve to be
26:13On our list
26:15Damn right
26:16I always sport my colors
26:17I represent all the way
26:18Wanna see my chonies
26:19See the Raiders
26:20Had their colors
26:21Long before we had
26:22The black hole
26:23But I think
26:25The Raiders fans
26:26Being the intense
26:29Maniacs that they are
26:30Just saw the black
26:32They said wait a minute
26:33I'm wearing black
26:34So they wore black
26:35Wait a minute
26:36These guys are nasty
26:39And they wear black
26:40We'll put a spike on
26:41We'll wear a helmet
26:42We'll wear face masks
26:43We'll carry hatchets
26:44To the game
26:45We'll carry swords
26:46To the game
26:49How did he lose his eye?
26:50Do we know?
26:51Does anybody know
26:52How the Raider lost his eye?
26:53I mean that's
26:54Whatever happened to him
26:55We don't wanna know
26:56Who's number two?
26:57Cowboys?
26:58Coming up
26:59That's
26:59An elegant
27:01Uniform
27:02Uniform
27:03Genius
27:05He's right
27:06They probably should be number one
27:10The number two uniform of all time
27:12Throwbacks
27:13Oh we all love the throwbacks
27:16Yeah
27:18I love throwback jerseys
27:20I think they're fantastic
27:21The throwbacks
27:22From the standpoint
27:23Of the marketing
27:24Trend of the last decade
27:26To me are an abomination
27:28With no bad wheels
27:29I love throwbacks
27:30Because people have never seen
27:32Those uniforms in color
27:33If they've seen them at all
27:34Totally opposed to throwback uniforms
27:36Especially some of the ones
27:37That go back to the 50s
27:38If there's a reason they change
27:40Everything that was once old
27:41Is new again in the fashion
27:42I mean come on
27:43Back to the old Raiders
27:44Old uniforms
27:45Back to the old Raiders
27:46There should be at least one team
27:48Every week
27:48That has a throwback funeral
27:50It's this classic NFL
27:52You know what I mean?
27:53I see Al's still got
27:54He's got his
27:55Old view
27:56Yeah he never did get away
27:57From the same one
27:58He wears now
27:59Old times
27:59There are good throwbacks
28:04And there are not good throwbacks
28:05The Bills throwbacks
28:07Are beautiful
28:08The old
28:09OJ years
28:10Gorgeous
28:13That Patriot throwback is awesome
28:15I love that
28:16That was a hot look
28:18Boy Pat Patriot looked good
28:20He had that look on his face
28:22He was crouching over
28:22Ready in that three point stance
28:25And that's just good
28:26I mean because the founding fathers
28:27I think that when they were
28:29Done putting the country together
28:30They were thinking
28:31You know what we need?
28:32Somebody to hike a football
28:33Through his legs
28:33Such as good times
28:34That's America
28:37Summer is just ridiculous
28:38I mean that Broncos uniform
28:39Was ridiculous last year
28:41That rotten banana look
28:42That they had
28:43It was embarrassing
28:45It was the socks
28:46That did it
28:47The brown and yellow
28:48I'm okay with
28:49But those
28:50Tall socks
28:51That had to
28:51That had to go
28:53Why did they wear those uniforms?
28:55Because the Broncos
28:55Original owner
28:56Was too cheap
28:56To buy new ones
28:57And those were salvaged
28:59From an old college bowl game
29:00The Copper Bowl
29:01And he got used uniforms
29:03And recycled them
29:05Remember the Titans baby
29:0750 years ago
29:10Throwback
29:11Sometimes our number two uniform
29:13Can cause some
29:14Identification problems
29:15There's a lot going on
29:17During a football game
29:17But now I gotta figure out
29:18Which team is wearing what?
29:19Really?
29:20Light blue and yellow?
29:21Oh
29:21That's our team?
29:23It's an awful day
29:24To be a Philadelphia Eagle
29:25Awful
29:25Keep my team in a uniform
29:27That I can understand
29:28But what's not confusing
29:29Is how this game is gonna end
29:31Oilers
29:32Oilers
29:34Victorious
29:34Not Titans
29:35If it's the Titans
29:36That means Jets won
29:38But if it's the Oilers
29:39That means the Titans won
29:41Y'all figure it out
29:45You look at the retro
29:47And there is such a trend
29:49In fashion always
29:51To look back
29:52And that's very beautiful
29:55As a historical thing
29:56It gives the player
29:58Some sense of history
29:59Because I think a lot
30:00Of these guys nowadays
30:01Have lost the history
30:01Of the sport
30:02It's probably really cool
30:03For the people who were
30:05Like seven or eight
30:06When it was first
30:07On the field
30:07Sitting in the living room
30:09With their dad
30:10With a bowl of popcorn
30:11And the feeling
30:13Of seeing it alive again
30:14Is probably substantial
30:16What a throwback, huh?
30:20Still to come
30:21There should be only one
30:22Throwback jersey
30:23The number one uniform
30:26Of all time
30:27The Chargers Powder Blue
30:28The greatest uniform
30:31In NFL history
30:32Love that uniform
30:32Best uniform ever
30:34Love it, yes
30:36You finally got it right
30:38The Powder Blues
30:39Are the greatest uniform
30:41Uniforms ever
30:42In football history
30:45This is beautiful
30:47This is simplicity
30:48This is cool
30:49This is funky
30:50It's all of that
30:51I love that uniform
30:57Best thing about
30:58The Powder Blue
30:58Chargers throwback
31:00I love the numbers
31:01On the helmets
31:01They're the only uniform
31:03Regularly worn in the NFL
31:04These days
31:05With the numbers
31:06On the helmet
31:08The Powder Blue
31:09Charger uniform
31:09To me
31:10He was the best
31:11Looking uniform
31:11In the American
31:12Football League
31:13You look at that
31:14Light blue uniform
31:15You think of the players
31:17That wore the Powder Blue
31:19John Hadle
31:20Lance Allworth
31:22It is Allworth
31:23Grabs a quick pass
31:24And he cuts back
31:26Whists and scampers
31:28Through a whole herd
31:29Of baffled buffalo
31:30Everybody looks like
31:32Bambi
31:32In those Powder Blue
31:33Uniforms
31:34That's what's so cool
31:34About it
31:35It could be
31:356'6
31:36It's 350
31:36And you still look like
31:37Lance Allworth
31:38I know we got that
31:39Throwback
31:40Beautiful
31:40Best jersey in the league
31:42Color
31:42The only reason
31:43People like it
31:44Is because they like
31:44To say Powder Blue
31:46It just feels cool
31:47No one cares about the Houston
31:49Oiler uniforms
31:50If we called it
31:50Oh the Oilers
31:51Remember the white
31:52Red and Powder Blue
31:53We still love the Oilers
31:54But we didn't
31:57Powder Blue doesn't sound
31:59Like a football color
31:59By the way
32:00When you think
32:00Baby Blue
32:01You think
32:01Two year old boys
32:02In pajamas
32:03With feet on them
32:05This color
32:06I think that this is
32:08Definitely strong enough
32:09For a guy to wear
32:10And not feel fluffy
32:13How y'all feel
32:14Powder Blue is a great color
32:15It's absolutely gorgeous
32:17It has a bit of a fantasy
32:20To the color
32:21Because it's not a color
32:22You see everywhere
32:22Perhaps more commonly
32:25In a comic book
32:26It feels kind of
32:27Superhero-ish to me
32:28And so
32:29What do superheroes wear?
32:30They don't wear uniforms
32:30They wear costumes
32:31And I think that
32:33Today's athletes
32:33Are much more like superheroes
32:35You know
32:35They're ridiculously cut
32:36They're superhuman
32:37How do you think
32:38You're strong, huh?
32:39I'll see you out there
32:40As for their
32:41Costume-style
32:42Lightning bolt
32:43They're implying speed
32:45They're implying strength
32:46Everyone's afraid
32:47Of lightning
32:47You don't want to
32:48Get struck by it
32:49That lightning bolt
32:51Gave motion
32:51You know
32:52It was electrifying
32:53It looked exciting
32:54I think it's basically
32:58The NFL fan base
33:00On the couch
33:01Trying to figure out
33:02Their mommy issues
33:06It's a beautiful uniform
33:08And it's beautiful
33:09For the city of San Diego
33:11Would that be the right
33:12Uniform for Des Moines?
33:13No
33:13It's beautiful for San Diego
33:16Because that's the way
33:17Life is in San Diego
33:18It's powder blue
33:19It's sunny lightning bolt
33:22It's beautiful
33:24You can kind of
33:25Match it up with palm trees
33:27And the sun
33:27To 75 degree weather
33:28Year round
33:29It goes to the floor
33:35Why they ever changed
33:36To the dark blue
33:36I'll never know
33:371974 offered a fresh start
33:39While the fun
33:40Of a hometown carnival
33:42Hadn't changed
33:43The team had
33:44The redecorated Chargers
33:46Sported change
33:46From top to bottom
33:47Hated it
33:49Hated it
33:50Still hate it
33:52In 1974
33:53The Chargers switched
33:54To a darker blue
33:55And have never
33:56Officially gone back
33:57To the uniform
33:58That is number one
33:59On our list
34:04They do wear it
34:05A couple of times a year
34:06I know there are fans
34:06Who would like to see
34:07Them wear it
34:07All the time
34:09I wish the Chargers
34:11Would wear the powder blues
34:12From now
34:13To the end of time
34:15I need one of the
34:16Spanos family
34:17To explain to me
34:18Why in the world
34:19You don't petition the NFL
34:21To wear that uniform
34:23Every day
34:24Throughout the off season
34:25To go to
34:26Spanos don't care about
34:28Football
34:29They don't care about
34:30The team
34:30Or dressed in
34:31Powder blue suit
34:32The newer uniform
34:34Does incorporate
34:35The powder blue color
34:36If you look closely
34:37But for now
34:38The top spot on our list
34:40Is just an alternate
34:41When you've got
34:43The best looking uniform
34:44In the world
34:45You should use
34:46The best looking uniform
34:47In the world
34:47We agree
34:48That's why
34:49It's number one
34:52Powder blue
34:54Chargers
34:54What?
34:56As expected
34:57Not everyone
34:58Was happy with our list
35:00If I go to China
35:01And I walk up
35:02And go hey
35:03Powder blue and gold
35:04They're gonna go
35:05Sand Eagle Chargers
35:06Right?
35:07No
35:07If I go to China
35:08And go hey
35:09Silver and black
35:09They go oh Raiders
35:11Hell yeah
35:12Still others
35:13Just love the topic
35:14I think we should just
35:15Have an entire series
35:16To put it to uniforms
35:17You know this is one episode
35:18I think an entire series
35:20You know top ten
35:21Eagles uniforms
35:22Top ten AFL uniforms
35:24Top ten uniforms
35:25Post 1996
35:26This is the best series
35:27You guys have ever done
35:28Naturally
35:29Not everyone agreed
35:30I don't believe
35:32That uniforms have
35:33Anything to do
35:34With anything
35:35Okay
35:36Alright
35:37I'm sorry guys
35:39You guys are making me mad
35:41I know
35:42That's alright
35:42You got my back
35:43I got you
35:44Literally
35:45Literally
