00:01The Forest is a supernatural horror story
00:05about a woman who's gone in search of her missing sister.
00:09When you first meet Sarah, she's in sort of the perfect all-American home.
00:13You know, the perfect car, the perfect husband, the perfect job.
00:17She's a woman who's created a lot of success
00:23and control and order in her world
00:26to sort of mask a trauma that her and her twin sister went through in their youth.
00:33And when she finds out that her sister is missing,
00:36she has to leave that well-ordered world to embark on a journey to find her.
00:41Taylor is really playing a fantastic interpretation of Aidan.
00:45He's playing this wonderful, ambiguous character.
00:48And that's fun to play against
00:50because I've got experience of playing ambiguous characters.
00:54and he's doing it really well.
00:58It's very hard to read him.
01:00And Sarah meets Aidan.
01:02She doesn't know whether she can trust him.
01:03She's forced into a scenario where she has to trust him.
01:07And how that pans out is yet to be discovered.
01:12What makes this movie unique,
01:16and the reason I was drawn to the script of The Forest,
01:19is it has a level of sophistication in its psychological unravelling
01:24that you don't see very often, especially in horror movies.
01:28and seeing more stuff across all over Futureä¹¾ are accurately
01:32that you have to be successful.
