00:00There's a lot of these bands, they don't want to play the big hit from way back when, for whatever
00:05reason.
00:05I could never really understand that.
00:07You're playing Jesse's Girl because that's what the people want to hear.
00:10Could you ever figure that out, why people didn't want to do that stuff?
00:13I think, you know, it's just their personal choice.
00:16I mean, every artist has the right to play whatever they want to play.
00:19I know Elvis Costello's out there now, and he's not playing a lot of the hits that people want to
00:23hear,
00:24but that's his choice. It's his show.
00:25I love to give the audience what they want.
00:27I'm one of those guys, and I love to enjoy it.
00:30See, I don't want to see them sitting there looking at me with a quizzical look on their face.
00:34I want to see them jumping up and down and singing along.
00:36That's what the party's all about.
00:38For me, it's the joy of playing and seeing the joy that it gives the audience that drives me.
00:43Any crazy women still come out to these shows and still throwing underpants at you and all that?
00:50Yeah.
