Historic Firsts Highlight Day 3 of the Upper Austria Grand Prix

Day 3 in Linz brought thrilling heavyweight action. Tato Grigalashvili won the all-Georgian final at -90 kg, while Marie Branser made history with Guinea’s first World Judo Tour gold. Anton Savytskiy, Raz Hershko and Ibrahim Tataroglu also claimed gold on a spectacular final day.

00:00It's day three of the Judo Grand Prix here in Upper Austria, and it was time for the heavyweights to
00:04take center stage.
00:06The Tips Arena Linz was once again full of eager fans looking forward to another exciting day of Judo.
00:17Tato Grigolashvili met teammate Luka Javakishvili in the All-Georgian final at under 90kg.
00:24Grigolashvili, who normally competes at under 81kg, showed he could be equally dominant in the higher weight.
00:30In the final, an arm lock from Grigolashvili forced his teammate into submission.
00:37Gold for Grigolashvili at under 90kg.
00:43Austria has a really great atmosphere, a really great vibe.
00:46There are lots of Georgians and Georgian fans here, and I'm happy to see them.
00:50It was good in the final only Georgians. Simply Georgia didn't lose. Today Georgia won.
00:56His medal was awarded by Georgia Ambassador to Austria, His Excellency Alexander Maiseradze.
01:03At under 78kg, Lika Dirks of the Netherlands was up against Marie Brantse of Guinea.
01:08A beautiful Siatoshi in golden score gave Brantse a wasari, and Guinea their first ever World Judo Tour gold medal.

01:28International Judo Federation referee supervisor Miss Ioana Babiuk awarded the medal.
01:35In the under 100kg final, Anton Savitsky of Ukraine was up against Ku Nakayama of Japan.
01:41Within the opening minute, Savitsky caught his opponent with some sensational driving tewaza, leaving the Japanese athlete flat on his
01:49back.
01:51This is already Savitsky's second podium finish of 2026.
01:58International Judo Federation Sport Commission member and three-time World Judo champion Miss Yuri Alvear awarded the medals.
02:08In the plus 78kg final, Olympic silver medalist Raz Hershko was able to find the opening she needed to force
02:14a submission and claim her fourth Grand Prix gold.
02:23International Judo Federation EC member, Mrs. Luisa Adjusgalea awarded the medal.
02:29It was Ibrahim Tataroglu who would claim the last gold of the tournament at plus 100kg, catching his opponent with
02:36a beautiful makikomi.
02:38Gold for Turkey.
02:44He received his medal from referee director of the International Judo Federation, Olympic and World Judo champion, Miss Tina Tersteniak.
