01:52The White House has approved a 129 million arms sale to Israel after Donald Trump said Washington
01:59would not negotiate with Iran unless it agrees to, quote, an unconditional surrender.
02:06Since the conflict began, the United States and Israel have launched a series of strikes
02:10on Iran, targeting its military capabilities, senior leadership and nuclear program.
02:17Meanwhile, Iran fired another wave of retaliatory missiles on Friday, striking Israel and several
02:24Gulf countries that host U.S. forces.
02:27Speaking on state television on Saturday, Iran's president rejected Washington's demand for
02:33unconditional surrender, calling it, quote, a dream they should take to their grave.
02:38He also apologised for Iran's attacks on regional countries, saying Tehran would halt them and
02:45suggesting they were the result of a breakdown in communication within Iran's military ranks.
02:54Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine, firing two ballistic missiles and 117
03:02drones across multiple regions.
03:04One strike hit a passenger train from Kiev to Sumy with 200 people on board.
03:10No injuries have been reported.
03:12The attack comes amid a wave of Russian missile and drone strikes targeting Ukrainian energy and
03:18railway infrastructure.
03:19Also on Sunday, President Vladimir Zelensky and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Yetten paid tribute to Ukraine's
03:26fallen soldiers and discussed providing radar systems to strengthen frontline defences.
03:33Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones struck an oil pipeline station in Russia's Krasnodar-Krai region,
03:39causing a large fire and potentially disrupting regional fuel transport.
03:44In Belgorodoblast, Ukrainian missile strikes on energy facilities triggered
03:49blackouts and disruptions to electricity, water and heating.
03:58Crowds gathered in the streets across Europe on Sunday to mark International Women's Day with
04:03demands for ending inequality and gender-based violence.
04:07Women protested against violence for better access to gender-specific health care, equal pay
04:13and other issues in which they don't get the same treatment as men.
04:16This year, many are also raising awareness for women's rights issues in the context of a world
04:22increasingly afflicted by conflict.
04:25Protesters expressed solidarity with women affected by war in Ukraine, Iran, Gaza and elsewhere.
