00:41so I'm glad that we can have a nice chat and catch up.
00:44It feels like I've been in here a year.
00:46You know what I'm going to say, a day in there feels like a month.
00:49Honestly it really does, honestly I feel like this time round I felt so much more homesick,
00:54I miss my friends a lot more, my family, I don't know why, so I was in here less time
00:58than the first time.
01:00Okay well that tees me up into my question, I mean why did you both decide to go on All
01:03Stars?
01:03I feel like I didn't much luck in the dating world, so when I got given the opportunity I thought,
01:10do you know what, although I was on the summer series it wasn't long ago, it was the best summer
01:13of my life,
01:14met some great people, memories that last forever, never ever been away in winter before,
01:19so all my mates doing dry jam, fuck that, get down the villa, so it was nice to do something
01:24different.
01:24Yeah, that is nice and do you know what, we always say it's not just about the romance, you build
01:28friendships,
01:28it's a once in a lifetime experience, you know.
01:31Definitely.
01:31Jessie look, there's been a lot of comments about you and Tommy's relationship,
01:36I want to ask, how hard is it going in as a bombshell and trying to develop a connection that
01:41late going in?
01:42Yeah, I think it's such a hard position, it's hard going in as a bombshell anyway,
01:45but when you get put in that late, knowing that the series is ending soon and everyone's got really strong
01:51connections,
01:51like I'm very much a girls girl, so going in and having to break up a couple is horrible,
01:55but going in and going for someone that you actually like that is single,
01:59you get obviously everyone making comments,
02:01but it's definitely difficult and you never know what the situation's going to be by the time you get in
02:06there,
02:06because everything changes so quickly, so.
02:08Yeah.
02:08I enjoy going in this time a lot more than my first time,
02:11because when I went in the last time there was a lot more animosity when I first got in,
02:16whereas this time everyone understands that you're a bombshell, so it was a lot more of a welcoming.
02:20Yeah, environment, which was really nice.
02:23Tommy, we obviously saw your journey in there,
02:25and we saw sometimes, you know, it was a bit tough for you, you got a bit emotional,
02:28and you know, just sometimes not having a connection.
02:30How hard is it, would you say, you know, not having a connection in the villa
02:33and you can see everyone cracking on and, you know, sometimes it's just not what you expect?
02:37Yeah, I was an emotional mess.
02:38Yeah, but it's good, we love that.
02:39I knew coming to All Stars, I'd probably be the youngest in there,
02:43so I knew what I signed up for, but when you're in it and like you said,
02:47everyone's couple will start to develop and progress,
02:49and then you're always sort of just waiting for that door to open.
02:53You do just take each day as it comes, otherwise you go mad.
02:56I remember a time I was in the kitchen and everyone's in their couples in the kitchen,
02:59chatting, having their little chats and stuff,
03:02and I think Jack come up to me and he just said, you okay?
03:07And I was on my own and that's all it took, and I was set up.
03:10And I think he said, you sure you okay?
03:12And then I was gone and we ended up going up to the terrace
03:13and having that chat where I ended up breaking down.
03:15So it is very hard.
03:17Like I did struggle and I feel like whenever I felt down in there,
03:20I thought with home and it was a bit of a trigger effect.
03:23I feel down and miss home, miss my family and friends.
03:25What would they say to me?
03:27So I don't know.
03:28Yeah, I feel like a connection in there is important,
03:30but also arguably maybe having really close friends in there is just as important.
03:36I think that's important especially for like, you know, people watching
03:39because obviously people look at Love Island and it's like,
03:41oh, it's all about love, but we always do speak about the friendships
03:43and you were really, you were a really nice guy in there honestly.
03:46We honestly were like, you know what, go Tommy.
03:47So we were all really rooting for you to find love and build that connection
03:51and just, you know, see a lovey side too that we didn't always get to see.
03:54But yeah, it was great.
03:55That's nice to it, yeah.
03:56Now, Jessie, look, we know that you and Lucinda aren't the best of friends
04:01and we saw the conversation a bit with Maya,
04:03but what we want to ask was why did you feel kind of it was necessary
04:07to pull Lucinda up on things that, you know,
04:10had happened before you'd got into the villa?
04:13I didn't mean to pull her up on anything, to be honest.
04:15I wasn't trying to go into that conversation doing that.
04:18And even when I was pulling her up on what I was pulling her up on in the end,
04:21it was about her comments that I was there for.
04:25It wasn't for the behaviour or anything before.
04:27It was mainly that when I was saying that you're winding people up,
04:31you know what you're doing.
04:31That was based on that one comment in her speech where she,
04:35I think she said something about Belle's and Leanne's situation.
04:39Yeah. And she, I don't know if it was, I've not seen it,
04:41but she kind of looked over at Belle and was like,
04:43and it's like those little things that like wound a lot of people up in there
04:47because it was the things that we're not sure if it was showing
04:50because obviously not everything gets put in,
04:52but it was kind of like a lot of nibbling bits that kept coming up.
04:56So then when I had my conversation with her and she brought up that comment that she'd made,
05:01I said that was irrelevant to her speech because her speech was so nice for sure.
05:06And it was just that one little part in the middle that just didn't need to be in there.
05:11So I didn't feel the need to pull her up on anything.
05:14It wasn't, I knew it wasn't my place,
05:15but because she kind of started that conversation and I disagreed
05:19and I told some of the girls in conversations with them that we all agreed that it wasn't needed.
05:24Whatever I'd said to other people, I always say to their face.
05:27Yeah.
05:28And so I said, I have said to the girls here that I,
05:31when they were talking about it, that I agree that it wasn't relevant and you didn't need to say it.
05:34And that's when the conversation spiraled into something that it wasn't meant to be.
05:38I genuinely didn't mean to go into that conversation to have that conversation.
05:41I'm not saying it was my place to have it,
05:42but at the same time, if I have a differing opinion, I wouldn't just sit there and bullshit her.
05:47Looking back now, do you regret getting involved or do you stand by?
05:50No, I don't regret it because at the time it felt right to say it
05:56because I'm not someone that's going to sit back and say,
05:58agree with someone just because I'm friends with them.
06:01I don't like how it spiraled and it ended up being the way it was.
06:05Fair enough. Yeah, I think that's fair enough to say.

07:04No. I'd already started to try to include Lucinda a lot more
07:09because I could feel that she felt uncomfortable from her own doing.
07:14I'm not saying that was because of the girls and I think there's been a lot of talk about mean
07:18girls,
07:19which is not the case in the slightest.
07:21But I think that I just tried to talk to her here and there and I was,
07:25everyone was just so far moving on from it anyway.
07:28All the girls were over the drama because it had been going on for so long.
07:32So we'd all just kind of decided to just move on from it.
07:36But then when I had the conversation with my dad,
07:38I think that maybe it's been perceived that he was trying to tell me off.

07:42Which, on that he was like disappointed in me, which was not the case.
07:45Yeah, no, I don't think he was disappointed.
07:47Yeah, he would never be, if anything, he would say to me,
07:51good on you for standing up and saying your opinion.
07:53I think he was just trying to give me a warning that it had looked like I was doing something.

07:58And it wasn't my place to be doing so.
07:59He wasn't ever telling me off and it's a shame that it kind of got perceived in that way.

08:06but I don't like that, not being myself and not showing who I am.

16:42And I think as time went on, I obviously heard the comments that he'd said to you.

16:49He was constantly asking, oh, well, we're halfway through the series now.
16:53Should I, you know, go a bit mad and then go back to Leanne?
16:56Because that makes for good TV and that's the kind of narrative, the way things work.
17:00And they were just, I started seeing him calculating things and I was like, oh, I never really see that
17:06before.
17:07So, yeah.

17:09And I guess you didn't realise that until you started having those conversations.

17:14Obviously seeing Scott and Belle, you know, getting into it quite a few times.

17:50So he asked me at one point, like, who's the favourite girl on the outside?
17:56And then asking, did the public ship me and Leanne?
18:00So obviously, I think a few of the games it looked like Belle was coming for him.

18:11And I actually put Scott and Leanne up for like biggest game players or something.
18:14And obviously it was aimed at Scott.
18:16So I feel like I have my own opinion on Scott.
18:18I think that was very separate to what Belle's opinion on Scott was.
18:21I feel my own opinion, not based off what Belle was saying, you know?

18:24I feel like I could just gauge what sort of person he was.

19:24I don't think I was necessarily thinking that to begin with.
19:26I feel like my journey just naturally took me to that place.
19:30I feel like obviously last time I was involved in a lot of drama.

19:36And I feel like the drama defined me as a person in the villa.

21:04And I think when I came in, everyone was sort of cracking on with their couples.
21:08No one was really bothered about the outside noise.
21:11So, like, obviously, Sean and Lucinda, obviously, they went through a little bit of a tough time in there.
21:14I feel like he ride or died with Lucinda, do you know what I'm saying?

21:17And I feel like if Scott was in that position, that he was getting battered.
21:22And obviously, from the outside as well, I feel like he probably would have switched from that couple.

21:27So he was just the one that very much cared about public perception.

21:35What are the future plans for you guys going forward now then?
21:38I think for us, like, we were still early days.
21:41Like, we've had a really nice few, like, obviously, coming out of the villa, nice bit of time together.
21:47We're not interested in, like, proving a point.
21:49We're going at our own pace, taking things as it is.
21:52I mean, look at his little face.

21:57We do have, like, a genuine connection and we're just seeing where it goes.
